I Am An Illegitimate Child With A Legitimate Reason For Revenge-Chapter 80: Where did they go?
Raymond entered the Stein’s manor completely uninvited and this made Philip mad. First, he ruined his birthday banquet with such unnecessary commotion and now he was there to cause a scene.
He had crossed the line.
"Get him out of here." He ordered the guards.
"Don’t worry. I’m not going to stay long." Raymond said and tucked his hands in his pockets. "I just came here to settle some scores."
"Don’t speak nonsense and get out of here." Philip said, banging his cane to the ground.
Raymond took steps towards him till he was standing right in front of him.
"In the past, I might’ve trembled at your words but not now. Right now," his eyes grew dark above him. "...your words mean nothing to me and if you stand in my way, I will make sure to crush you."
Philip’s anger skyrocketed and veins popped across his forehead.
He raised his cane in an attempt to strike him with it but Raymond caught it, snatched it from him and broke it in two.
"It was old anyway." He simply said, threw the two halves to the ground and walked past him while Philip’s entire body trembled in anger.
This brat... When did he become so arrogant and fearless? He should’ve clipped whatever wings that were growing on his back when it was still early. Now, it looked like it would be difficult to cut him down.
Raymond walked straight to the butler, an elderly man looking to be in his 70s and asked,
"Where are your young masters?" He asked him but the snotty butler raised his head in pride and said,
"I am not obligated to tell you that."
He thought he was acting tough but he was just being stupid and the next moment, Raymond grabbed his neck and lifted him to the air. He might’ve been an elderly but he was an elderly with a wicked heart.
In the Steins manor, there was no one who was good. They were all wicked and evil, enjoying the sight of a little boy struggling to keep his life.
They played with him like he was a toy, mocked him and made his life hell. So why should he respect them or have sympathy towards them?
"Where are they?"
"Urk." The butler tried to struggle but his feets wouldn’t reach the ground and slowly, he felt life slipping out of him.
"What is this madness?" Philip’s voice thundered. "How dare you come into my home to threaten my person?"
"I played nice at first." Raymond said. "He was the one who chose this method by acting arrogant."
"You..."
The butler stopped struggling and his hands dropped. The maids covered their mouths, fearing to let their frightened gasps get heard.
Raymond released him and his lifeless body dropped to the ground. Then, he turned nonchalantly to the person close by.
"Where are your young masters?" He asked the servant whose entire body was trembling in fear.
Philip had had enough of this lunacy. He took the gun from the guard standing next to him and pointed at Raymond but before he could even think about pulling the trigger,*click* a gun was placed directly behind his ear.
With his side eye, he was able to see who it was. White diligently and fearlessly pointed his gun at the head of the Steins, with other guards following his action and pointing their guns at the guards present.
"I’m not very nice." Raymond said to the servant. "You can choose to talk or you can end up dead."
"Please believe me, I don’t know where they went." He pleaded.
"So that means they’re not in the house, correct?" Raymond asked and the servant eyed Philip before gulping and nodding his head. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"Y-yes. They left a while ago. It’s not up to thirty minutes yet."
Raymond’s eyebrows furrowed. They just left? What are the odds? It was almost like they knew he would be coming or...
He turned to Philip.
"Where did your sons go?"
"I’d be a big fool to answer you." Philip snarled.
"You are a fool either way." Raymond dared to say and just then, someone slowly descended the stairs, looking at the scene before her in amusement.
"Wow, why a commotion?" Serena stopped and leaned on the railing. "Are you by chance here to visit me?" She asked, her gaze fixed on White, who tried his best to ignore it. "You’re looking as good as ever."
Raymond turned to her and said,
"Where did they go?"
"And why should I answer that?" She asked him. "I don’t think I’ll benefit from any of this." She smiled. A dangerous smile accompanied with eyes that said, ’I couldn’t care less’.
Raymond knew how cruel Serena could be. She was a human on the outside and a demon on the inside. She enjoyed seeing people suffer especially in oblivion, and she easily took interest in ’interesting’ things.
Serena was the oldest child. She would’ve been the one to inherit the title as family head if she were a boy but she was a girl. Now, she was a 31 years old lady who was very ripe for marriage but showed no sign of entering a relationship, not to talk of marriage.
According to her, there was no one ’interesting’ enough. And certainly, any man who blindly takes an interest in this princess and ends up with her will definitely become a slave and maybe go mad in a year or two and then disappear. That was the brief summary of it.
"I’ll find them." Raymond said.
"Are you sure?" She asked which seemed strange. "You might look in the wrong direction and then, it might be too late."
Raymond paused and turned to her. She was still smiling and it made him feel she knew something. Something big.
"Don’t look at me like that. It makes me want to lock you up in a cage." She snickered. "But I wonder, that little cute birdie next to you, what will her song sound like when singing from a cage?"
Raymond’s eyes widened. Now he knew what was going on. He knew what the twins were up to and so did she.
Just then, his phone’s notification rang. He picked it up and saw an SOS warning. Steve’s phone sent out an SOS which meant something was wrong with Ariel. His body suddenly shook.
"Don’t tell me..."
"Haha, now you realize?" She laughed. "Your cute little canary is about to enter a cage and it’s definitely not a cage you made."
Raymond immediately turned around and started heading out. White followed after before anything else but the moment he got out, Raymond was already in the car and was zooming away at the speed of light.
He and the rest of the guards took the other cars and he looked on. Maybe this time, he would be able to bring his mind back. If she was finally gone, his heart would once again turn stone cold.
Raymond drove as fast as he could.
’How? How? Just how did they find her?’ His head kept asking but he wished, deep down, that the SOS wasn’t what he feared. He wished the twins did not find that place.
But what if it was and Ariel was in danger...? His grip tightened on the wheel. He’d have to find out who that goddamn spy was and rip him to pieces.
On reaching the center, he found a lot of dead bodies. This did not bode well with him and he rushed to Ariel’s ward but she wasn’t there. His heart shook. He walked in, only to find blood stains on the bed.
He tried to think positively.
There was no one there and that blood stain could belong to anyone but the fact that it was on her bed, where he had left her to sleep peacefully, he couldn’t help but worry with trembling hands.
"Ariel." He called and decided to look around more. He needed to find Steve. Once he did, maybe he could find Ariel.
"Master." White called and Raymond looked up. "Doctor Steve is in the third room."
Raymond rushed to the third room and there, he found Steve wearing a bloody shirt and a wounded arm which was being attended to by a nurse, whose body was equally stained with blood.
"What happened here?" Raymond asked, rushing in.
"They came for her." Steve said, bowing his head in shame. "They came for her and I couldn’t do anything to stop them."
"Steve, how did this happen?" Raymond asked, his eyes turning unstable from fear.
"After she woke up, we talked a bit. She was laughing as she told me how happy she was by your side. And then, we heard a commotion from outside. We didn’t know what was going on and decided to stay put for a while but before we knew it, the twins walked in on us, both holding guns. They had a sea of guards behind them and they killed people. They killed everyone that stood in their way."
Raymond flinched and his expression turned grim.
"Theo immediately shot my arm, stopping me from retaliating and that’s when I sent the SOS." Steve gritted his teeth. "I was so useless and couldn’t stop them from taking her. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry this happened."
"So the blood on the bed is yours?" Raymond asked and Steve nodded. "Did they do anything to her?"
"She went on her own." Steve said.
"What?"
"I don’t know if it’s because I got shot but she straight up walked up to them and smiled back at me. She said, ’Don’t worry, I trust him. And besides, I don’t have any regrets now. I’ll be fine’."
