Ceres descended from above, and a powerful shockwave scattered through the vicinity.

-Boom!

The vast area of the chamber trembled and collapsed on itself from the massive force of impact. It was like an entire small mountain — a boiling one of crazy mass- crashed into the construct.

Everything... Everything shattered and rumbled.

It was like the world itself was bellowing defiantly.

The tall ceilings above wasn’t exempt from the destruction of the chaos thay soread from Ceres’ bold and mighty attack. Massive cracks more than three tomes the size of grown men, snaked up across the wide walls l, reaching up until the ceiling, and covered the ground.

The chamber was already halfway across collapsing due to the thunderous and smashing battle that followed the arrival and emergence of tye Sand Worm — but now, truly, everything was being brought down as a whole.

Ceres’s attack had dealt the final blow.

Her broad sword brought down the chamber from above.

And with it, drowned and buried everything that was within.

Everything.

Including the vast body of the colossus.

The rumble like the gargle of an ungodly titan continued for an extended period of time.

The whole ground shattered and fell through, tearing open and splitting apart like the world itself spread its mouth from the depths to wail.

The mighty pillars and columns fell as the chamber — no, the entire floor— sank inward like an avalanche of giant rocks amd debris. The walls were ruthlessly torn apart, turn and shattered into rubbles, and the ground tore open like a cavity in the earth surface.

And so—

—everthing was destroyed.

Cast into the void below.

Xavier recalled the final moments before Ceres’ blow dealt the chamber they were in into destruction and sent it to oblivion as he rose up, surrounded by piles of rubbles and covered in dust.

As he did so, there was an incessant ringing that plagued his ears painfully. The sound of the explosion and collapse as a whole, was like standing dangerously close within the radius of a powerful bomb. It was tremendously too loud.

And his sense of hearing wasn’t the only thing to suffer from it.

Xavier felt hurt and broken all over, even more than before now.

Many of his joints and bones had shifted, many more weren’t in their right place. A sense of vertigo eashed across his mind and thoughts, drowning his senses into disorientation that made it a struggle to stay upright.

Xavier’s fair skin and was covered in dust. His uniform also lay in ruins. And his shattered shoulder hurt immensely, even more so than it already did.

Yet he found solace in the pain.

The sharp, ruthless and rugged heat of his broken shoulder anchored him to the earth.

Xavier was alive, and the biting pain he felt was proof of it.

In fact, it was what helped him retain part of his bearing from his disoriented state of mind.

So in that sense the wretched shoulder didn’t seem that bad. At least it made him almost forget and disregard how agonizing the rest of his body felt, like he was being put through a wringer.

As Xavier felt his shoulder weigh down on him, he quickly swept his gaze across his immediate surrounding.

He was surrounded by piles upon piles of debris and rubbles scattered all over the place, everywhere. They were strewn across, almost as far as his eyes led him to see and follow, like gravestones.

Massive chunks and boulders of rocks formed grand monoliths all around.

The air was still buzzing and swept with faint dust that appeared foggy. It felt stuffy and annoying to breathe clearly as a result.

Even now, small pieces of rocks and debris continued to rain from above.

Xavier strained his neck and looked up.

The ceiling — if one could still call it that since it was literally almost non existent at this point — it was vast and incredibly tall.

The immense height spoke testaments of their massive fall.

’This is crazy....’

As Xavier looked up, struggling to see just how far below they truly had fallen, he felt a lump form at the back of his throat.

His thoughts trailed naturally, absorbing the details of what happened and his new surroundings.

The Xavier’s calm yellow eyes — listless and laced with exhaustion actually — flickered mildly.

’Alex, Trise and Chelsea made it at the last minute.’ he found mild solace in his thought process.

The three cadets, just as planned — more or less— had managed to make it out at the last second.

They escaped the chamber, just before it truly collapsed from Ceres attack.

Somehow.

Or at least, Xavier couldn’t see any traces of the three around him, so he hoped that truly was this case.

In fact.

He couldn’t see anything at all.

Aside from the rocks and boulders forming massive monoliths and grave stones.

The moment Xavier thought that, he felt the air buzz in a disturbance all of a sudden.

Then the powerful sound of a collision snapped him back to his senses from somewhere.

At the same time, Xavier’s eyes flickered again, this time widening as well.

’Ceres!’

As he thought so, his body tensed.

The air rippled again with a loud noise and a powerful gale, like shockwave, swept across him all of a sudden.

-BANG!~

The ground rumbled, and the nimble figure of Ceres Walker dancing across mid-air crossed his sight from in front.

It was immediately followed by the massive, slithering form of a serpentine like creature that rapidly shot at her like a pistol.

As it tore through the air like a powerful spring, the atmosphere rocked again, causing the ground to tremble.

The massive body blocked his entire vision like a sudden charging wall. It was truly humumgous and grotesque.

A vast moving shadow was cast over a large swath of the area — and Xavier — as a result.

Xavier immediately recalled what his situation was, and swiftly understood what was happening.

This was no time to be staring emptily into the air, looking dazed!
