Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 695: I’m poor.
She watched him warily, "Don’t get handsy."
The man said innocently, "I didn’t do anything..."
He spread his hands towards her.
Daisy Ginger glanced at his fingers, keenly sensing something, and suddenly reached out to grab his right hand.
"Where’s your wound?"
"Hmm?"
"Didn’t you cut your finger while chopping vegetables yesterday?"
"Hmm..." The man hummed, answering her earnestly, "Maybe it’s already healed."
The man’s fingers were well defined, long and fair, with neatly trimmed nails. There wasn’t a single scar on his pale fingertips—where was the wound?
Daisy’s thoughts raced, and suddenly she understood something. She lowered her head in anger, biting down hard on his fingertip, determined to leave a mark on this deceitful man’s hand.
He wasn’t injured and had pretended to wear a band-aid to deceive her! This guy!!
Edward Stephens winced in pain but laughed, letting her bite him hard.
After biting for a while without breaking the skin, Daisy spat out his finger and patted his arm that was wrapped around her slim waist, "Let go."
Edward said, "Still angry?"
"Can’t be bothered."
The man sighed deeply.
"You don’t pamper me anymore. I just wanted a bit of your affection."
He said it pitifully.
Daisy rolled her eyes at him, "You deserved it."
He kissed her ear.
Daisy smacked him, "Stop messing around."
He kissed her neck again.
Daisy was very beautiful, with a gorgeous figure, fair skin, and a slender neck, the epitome of a perfect beauty.
The man sneakily planted a few kisses behind her ear.
Irene noticed but dared not look at her.
Afraid that his kisses might lead them to the bed, Daisy decisively jumped off his lap, wiped her face which was covered in saliva, and looked at him disdainfully.
The man looked at her innocently.
This deceitful man, sly and full of tricks, even hid here to scheme against her.
Daisy snorted coldly, grabbed her suitcase, opened the door, and left without acknowledging him.
The flight was at three in the afternoon, and traveling from here to the airport would take about five hours.
In another half an hour, she needed to set off.
Irene was surprised to see her coming downstairs with a suitcase, looking a bit reluctant to let her go.
Daisy politely walked over to say goodbye, "I’m leaving today. Thank you for taking care of me these past few days."
Irene stood in front of her, nodding, then glanced at Edward Stephens, who was walking down the stairs, looking a bit at a loss.
Daisy didn’t say much else, just walked to the door, looked around, and prepared to call a cab.
The man walked over and picked up her suitcase, "There aren’t many taxis passing by here; everyone uses private cars. Let’s go, I’ll drive you to the airport."
Daisy glanced at him, but the man had already turned around, picking up her suitcase and walking away.
Soon, the man drove out in a black sedan.
The car was dilapidated, who knew how many hands it had passed through. By the time it came into Edward Stephens’ possession, the paint had completely peeled off.
Daisy couldn’t stand it and asked, "Is this your car?"
The man shrugged, "Bought it at a second-hand market for two hundred US dollars." He glanced at her and added, "I’m poor."
