Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 691: Scumbag Man 1
The man smiled innocently.
Daisy Ginger glanced at him a few times, then turned her head away, "I’m going upstairs to see Irene."
"What’s so interesting about Irene..." The man spoke slowly, his tone sounding very lazy.
Daisy ignored him, skirted around the sofa, and fled upstairs.
A low chuckle came from behind her.
Stupid man.
Daisy couldn’t help but curse him in her heart.
*
Irene looked alright, her complexion had returned to normal.
Just thinking about what Edward Stephens had told her about Irene’s ordeal, Daisy felt more sympathy for the little sister.
What will Irene do in this small town in the future?
She wondered if Edward had thought about how to settle Irene in the future.
She looked down at her flight itinerary and sighed lightly.
...
Maybe he felt he had done a good deed, Edward seemed slightly smug in front of her.
Daisy was too lazy to ridicule his childish demeanor, over thirty years old and not at all restrained, not even matching up to the twenty-five-year-old Michael Joyner.
For lunch, Edward made Chinese food, three dishes and a soup, and cooked rice.
To be honest, he truly was a jack of all trades, quick to learn anything, even ordinary home-cooked meals he could make beautifully, an egg and tomato stir-fry could even taste better than at an average restaurant.
— Who knows what’s up with Lady Stephens, her son is so talented, yet even with a dedicated pastry chef, she can’t make good desserts.
Daisy had never learned to cook, nor did she intend to, just watching Edward wash vegetables and cook was a bit of an eyesore.
But thankfully, she would be leaving tomorrow.
After lunch, Edward threw the leftovers into the trash can and was about to wash the dishes.
Daisy, after eating his food for two days, felt it wasn’t right to just sit by, so she volunteered to wash the dishes.
The man glanced at her and chuckled, "You just sit down." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
From his smile and tone, Daisy sensed a subtle disdain.
Unconvinced, she took Edward’s apron, rolled up her sleeves, and headed straight into the kitchen.
Watching Edward work was a kind of enjoyment; the kitchen he worked on was orderly and spotless at the moment.
Daisy put on rubber gloves, turned on the faucet, and started cleaning the used dishes.
The man walked in from outside, observed her back for a while, and then chuckled softly.
"What?"
She frowned, looking at him with disdain.
"You look a bit like a virtuous wife and mother now."
The words "virtuous wife and mother" made Daisy’s skin crawl.
"Get lost." She replied irritably, "Don’t just stand there getting in the way."
She talked tough but it was clear she wasn’t very competent.
She used too much detergent, causing foam to spill over, piling up like snowy mounds in the pristine sink, and Daisy clumsily fished the dishes out of the foam, her fingers slipping and dropping a bowl.
"Pfft." A low laugh came from behind her.
A blush rose on Daisy’s fair cheeks.
She grew slightly annoyed and turned to glare at him fiercely, "Are you done laughing?"
He laughed while walking over, tucking the stray strands of hair behind her ear, looking at her beautiful face, "Okay, let me do it. You go watch TV."
"No."
Daisy had her own stubbornness.
For some reason, Edward laughed even harder upon hearing her rebuff.
Daisy, even more annoyed by his laughter, stepped on his foot with her slipper, stop laughing!
"Alright, I won’t laugh anymore."
