Hogwarts: Bloodline Legend-Chapter 587 - 167: Return to Diagon Alley!_2
"Only those who rise like comets and do not fall or remain silent can guide a civilization towards progress, and we wizards have not seen such a person for many years."
"This is the main reason why the Wizarding World has remained stagnant for so many years."
"Many people think that those of us who pride ourselves as the Holy Race are supporters of old rules, but they don’t know that at least most of the friends and blood relatives I know are eager for the Wizarding World to embrace change."
"Lying in the glory of the past will only lead our family to decay. Only new challenges and opportunities can help us reclaim the glory of a new birth."
"Failure? Falling? Becoming ordinary? Slytherin students have never feared this. What we fear is watching the glory of our ancestors tarnish while we are powerless to prevent it."
Theodore Greengrass’s voice was loud, and his wife nodded slightly beside him. Lupin frowned slightly, but he did not speak.
"A very insightful perspective."
Ian admitted that Theodore Greengrass had a point, yet remained helpless, "However, ’leadership’ as a profession is not my pursuit."
"In fact, you have much better choices. I recommend my good friend Aurora. She is extraordinarily talented and of noble birth, unstoppable and admired by the masses."
"Muggles have their own queen, so wizards should also have a queen. How perfect." Ian chose to put forth Aurora as a shield to attract "firepower."
However. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Theodore Greengrass shook his head slightly.
"Mr. Prince, as I said earlier, the glory of our ancestors is gone, so these seemingly prestigious families actually have no decisive power."
"In the Wizarding World, strength determines power. Someone has already made a choice, and we can only decide whether to follow this choice." It must be said that for descendants of pureblood clans like Theodore Greengrass, openly admitting the decline of family strength is certainly not an easy thing.
He was indeed sincere and without reservation.
"Albus Dumbledore?"
Ian hesitated for a moment, looked at Lupin next to him, and then spoke another name.
"Or Gellert Grindelwald?"
The little wizard could only think of these two old figures as the "puppet masters," and leaned more towards the latter because the latter always tried to influence and ignite his ambition during their interactions.
Faced with this question.
Theodore Greengrass pondered for a moment but chose not to answer directly.
"Mr. Prince, you should have studied modern history, right?" He put down the knife in his hand, staring at the plate in front of him, seemingly asking a related but suddenly irrelevant question.
"Of course."
Ian nodded in response.
Theodore Greengrass looked up at the young man, who looked absurdly young yet already possessed unmatched power that most wizards could never attain.
"Concerning the former Black Demon King, the man who cannot be named, most of his followers were openly from our Slytherin pureblood clans."
"Do you know why this is?" Theodore Greengrass posed another question, his eyes showing an inexplicable weariness.
"Of course, it is because you are greedy and fearful of death, wanting to share in the benefits and power that come with the Black Demon King’s identity." Lupin answered with irritation in his voice.
His point of view wasn’t entirely biased.
However.
In Theodore Greengrass’s eyes, Lupin’s thoughts were indeed very narrow. He glanced at this former disliked classmate, showing a tinge of pity in his eyes.
"Too simplistic, Lupin." Theodore Greengrass didn’t refute but commented on Lupin’s answer in a somewhat mocking tone.
"I’ll watch you whitewash your actions."
Lupin sneered with another mocking comment.
"You damn fellow..."
Madam Armand Greengrass, who had been silent and allowed her husband and Ian to converse, frowned and wanted to say something, but was stopped by Theodore Greengrass.
"Even to this day, Lupin, I still believe that in your little group, only James Potter was truly wicked; the other three of you were just naively foolish." Theodore Greengrass’s view may not be objective, as Harry’s Dad, who could join the Phoenix Society, certainly wouldn’t be irredeemably bad in essence.
However.
This view was evidently unacceptable to Lupin.
"He was a sacrifice in a struggle, at least in this regard he was better than all of you." Lupin suppressed his anger well, knowing the resentment in Theodore Greengrass’s heart.
So many years after graduation, Lupin indeed realized that some of their past actions were excessive, stemming from youthful impetuousness without considering future impacts.
However.
Arguing right or wrong now is meaningless, and it wasn’t only them who did wrong; Slytherin students certainly did wrong by bullying too.
"I never said Potter wasn’t a warrior. His Savior son has been celebrated for so many years, and I think there’s some contribution from us in promoting it."
