His soul-Chapter 66: Broken Heart
Although previously Selena and Rosa were rude to Gina, but when they were at the dinner table their attitude changed 180 degrees, the two girls seemed to have really accepted the existence of their stepsister in their midst. Seeing the closeness of his children made Julian smile with emotion, he was happy to see his three daughters getting along.
"Did I say, they will love each other for sure." Vanessa whispered softly to Julian who was sitting beside her.
Julian turned his gaze towards Vanessa. "I’m so proud of you, thank you."
Vanessa smiled widely. "It’s my duty as their mother."
Julian slowly put down the fork and immediately grabbed Vanessa’s hand, seeing that scene made Gina’s heart race very fast. An excruciating tightness welled up in his chest, there was an indescribable pain.
"Gina, what are you doing, honey?" Barbara panicked when she saw Gina holding her chest while looking down.
Suddenly everyone at the dining table turned to look at Gina, including Julian and Vanessa.
"Gina..."
Gina raised her hand up to stop the words of her father who was calling her. "I’m fine," she said softly, lifting her face slowly.
"Are you serious, honey?"
"Please, Grandma. Don’t overdo it, she just said he’s fine. So don’t worry." Diego, who was sitting right in front of Gina, immediately answered his grandmother’s words curtly.
Gina stared at Diego blankly. "What Diego said is true, I’m fine. Looks like I’m full, I’ll just go up to my room then. Excuse me."
Gina immediately got up from her chair and rushed up to her room, she really couldn’t hold herself any longer around those heartless people. Once in her room Gina immediately locked the door tightly before slamming her body on the bed to vent all her annoyance.
"You are selfish, how can you make out in front of me like that sob... mom, what should you do huhuhu..."
Gina cried loudly enough to vent her frustration over what her father had done at the dinner table, Gina felt what her father did was very cruel and evil. Gina feels that her father does not respect her feelings, does not respect her mother who has been tormented by longing to be alone until death picks her up.
Del Cano’s base
Massimo who had just arrived at his big house was immediately annoyed by his men who reported bad news, his plan to relax at home after many things he had done that day failed.
"Are you sure this person is behind the mess at the bar?" Martin asked quietly to his men who were currently kneeling on the floor.
"That’s right sir, the motorcyclist is the only person we suspect. Because no one knows him."
Massimo smiled. "Is it true that if no one knows the motorcyclist then he deserves to be named a suspect?"
"No sir, please look at the next photo again."
Out of curiosity Massimo then shifted the photo he was holding.
"In the photo it is clear that the little man is talking to the girls who will be sold that night at the bar, sir. Although the CCTV footage is not very clear, the clothes the motorcyclist is wearing are very similar to those worn by this man."
Massimo was silent for a moment, his eyes narrowed at the photo in his hand carefully.
"Then have you pocketed the identity of this man?" asked Massimo again as he handed the photo he was holding to Martin who was standing behind him.
The man who was kneeling on the floor swallowed his saliva quickly. "We only know his name, sir. We have no further information yet." 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"What is his name?"
"Gabriel, the little man introduced himself by that name to Barbie the girl who was the first to greet the guests," the man replied back in fear. "Sorry sir, that’s all the information we’ve got at the moment. All the CCTV in the bar can’t be saved, so we’re really groping at solving this case."
"GABRIEL." Massimo spelled the name that had just been mentioned by one of his men slowly with both hands he had placed on the table.
Massimo’s office was silent again, no one dared to speak, including Martin, who was holding the photo that Massimo had previously given him. The silence finally stopped when Massimo’s smartphone suddenly rang, on the screen of the smartphone with the apple logo suddenly appeared a photo of a girl whose number Massimo had just saved a moment ago.
"Master he..."
"I know, you took good care of everything. I have to take a phone call right now."
"Ready Sir."
Finished talking like that Massimo then grabbed his cell phone and walked out of the room to the park which is right next to his office, after connecting with the caller Massimo was involved in a serious conversation with a woman on the other end of the phone. Several times Massimo was seen putting his hands on his waist, looking angry but soon he was smiling.
A Massimo smiling? It was a miracle, because the cold man had not smiled since years after his father died. The news of Massimo smiling immediately spread throughout the house, the guards and servants who worked with him had now heard the information about the master smiling again after 5 years.
"Did you see sir?"
"Mr. Massimo?" asked Taylor, one of Massimo’s confidants.
Martin snorted. "Yes, really, who else is Master in this house?"
"Mr. Massimo is still on the phone with someone in the park," Taylor replied again, pointing at Massimo who was still in the garden.
"Jesus, haven’t you finished yet? How many hours have you been talking?"
Taylor was silent for a moment, trying to remember how long his master had been in the garden. "Looks like almost an hour, I’m not more than an hour already."
"During the?" Martin asked in a three-octave rising tone.
"Yes."
"Who have you been talking to last night for hours?" Martin spoke to himself in a barely audible voice.
But because Taylor was nearby so the man could hear what Martin was saying, Taylor slowly approached Martin and said, "It looks like you are talking to a woman."
"Woman?"
Taylor nodded his head quickly. "Yes, the proof is that Master smiled a few times and it wasn’t just me who saw you smile but the other servants too—"
"Wait." Martin stopped Taylor’s words by raising his palms in the air. "Try repeating what you just said, Taylor."
"Servants?"
"Before that."
"Not just you?"
"Fuck, you’re tired of living, aren’t you!!" Martin snapped loudly, the man seemed to have run out of patience with Taylor.
Taylor chuckled. "You mean the problem Master smiling?"
"Yes, you’re not spreading hoax news are you?"
"For God’s sake no, if you don’t believe me please ask someone else. I’m sure word of Mr smiling has spread throughout the house by now," Taylor replied casually as he walked past Martin.
Martin’s self-esteem as Massimo’s right-hand man was instantly destroyed, he didn’t know about such important news. While the other servants already knew about Massimo’s smile, with a broken feeling Martin sat on the sofa watching Massimo who had no sign of wanting to end his conversation with an unknown person. The one who managed to make a cold man like Massimo del Cano smile.

When the sun had not yet risen, Gina had already woken up, although her eyes were still puffy from lack of sleep due to crying. Gina chose to take a shower immediately. Today is her first day back to work after a long vacation, Gina doesn’t want to lose her job. Even though she is currently living in her father’s family home, Gina still has to work just in case.
After the whole body was drenched in cold water, Gina felt much better, the puffiness in her eyes disappeared without a trace at this time. It seemed like taking a shower was the right choice for her, wearing her own clothes Gina was getting ready to go to work.
"Looks like I have to secure this money, I can’t keep my savings book in this house. It will be a new problem if the money left by my mother is known to the two annoying girls," Gina said quietly as she reached for the savings book containing the money left by her mother for safekeeping
After making sure that nothing was left behind, Gina went out of her room and locked it from the outside. As soon as she left her room the atmosphere of the big house was completely silent. No sound was heard, only the ticking of the large wall clock installed in the living room was what Gina heard now.
Because she didn’t want anyone to see her go, Gina decided to immediately go down the stairs to the first floor, Gina’s light steps were not heard by anyone. Even when Gina opened the door to her house no one knew it, only when she walked towards the gate the two guards guarding the post greeted her.
"Where are you going this early, Miss?"
Gina smiled. "I want to exercise," he lied.
"But the sun hasn’t risen yet, Miss."
"So what if the sun hasn’t risen yet? Is there a problem? I used to get up early when I was living with my mother in London."
Hearing Gina’s answer, the two guards finally chose to give Gina permission to leave, everyone who worked at the Sanders house had been informed about Gina and her origins, including the two guards.
"Thank you," Gina said sincerely when she made it through the gate.
"You’re welcome, Miss," replied the two guards in unison.
Gina then walked down the sidewalk, she chose to walk a bit further to wait for the bus. Gina didn’t want the two guards to see her sitting at the bus stop so early, so Gina chose to walk a bit further. Later when she arrived at work Gina would notify her grandmother when she had returned to work, at this time her cell phone was dead because it ran out of power. While sleeping last night Gina forgot to charge her cellphone.
