His soul-Chapter 512: Be Gina’s husband
Paris, France.
The party inauguration of the new hotel owned by the Sanders family turned out to be longer than Julian and Diego expected, the arrival of Mr. Xavier the hotelier who was gaining popularity in Paris was one of the reasons why the party did not end.
The party had just ended when Mr Xavier was drunk and out of control. With a body full of sweat, Diego walked over to his father and two younger siblings who were already waiting in the hotel lobby.
"He’s finally home," Diego said hoarsely. "So what? Are we going straight home tonight?"
Julian shook his head. "It’s getting late, we’re all very tired and need to rest. Gina’s already asleep too, it’s okay if we stay the night until tomorrow."
"But Dad..."
"What Daddy said is right, Diego." Selena interrupted Diego’s words quickly. "We all need rest to recover"
Diego did not respond to Selena’s words, he didn’t seem to like hearing his sister’s words confirming his father’s words. Diego is currently racing against time, before Gina gives birth he must have managed to win Gina’s heart. Because of that Diego wants to always be close to Gina.
Seeing Diego’s unchanged facial expression, Rosa gave a small smile. Rosa gently wrapped her arms around Diego’s arm. "We’ll be home tomorrow morning on the first flight, Gina is fine at home. Didn’t you already ask the police to guard our house, then what else do you have to be afraid of? No bad people can approach our house at this time, Diego ."
"I know, I just..."
"Gina’s okay, Joyce is always with her," said Julian softly. "Now we go back to the room, it’s very late at night. We must go to bed soon."
Because he continued to be seduced by three people, Diego finally melted, he was finally willing to stay one night in Paris. With unsteady steps, Diego followed the steps of his two happy-looking siblings as they headed for the elevator, staying at their own family-owned hotel in a city as big as Paris gave Rosa and Selena a special pride. Although the lifestyles of the two girls have changed drastically, they still can’t get rid of the habit of showing off their family’s wealth. Because of that, their social media accounts have been filled with photos of their togetherness since arriving in Paris this afternoon.
After the elevator that took them reached the fifteenth floor, Julian and his two daughters came out of the elevator regularly followed by Charlie who was always clinging to Julian and Diego who still thought that Gina was in the last row when he got out of the elevator. When Charlie had entered his room, Diego quickened his pace to catch up with his stepfather who was standing in front of his door.
"Dad.."
Julian immediately turned to Diego who was walking towards him. "Yes, Son."
"Daddy tired?"
"Not really, why?"
"If Daddy isn’t tired I want to talk to Daddy after the shower."
Julian smiled. "Ok, Daddy will wait for you to come then."
Diego’s eyes lit up. "Thank you, Daddy."
"You don’t need to thank me for this kind of thing, Diego. Daddy should be the one thanking you for managing our two new hotels."
"That’s nothing, Daddy."
Julian chuckled, his hand gently patting Diego’s shoulder. "Yes, hurry up and go to your room, clean yourself and then come to Daddy’s room."
Diego nodded enthusiastically, with a smile on his face Diego immediately turned his body and entered his room which was right in front of Julian’s room. After Diego entered Julian did the same thing, Julian had absolutely no suspicion of Diego. All the kindness that Diego did over the past two months to Gina made Julian’s hatred for Diego begin to erode.
As soon as he entered his room Diego jumped several times into the air, expressing his happiness that his stepfather would make time for him to talk. Diego decided to tell all his intentions tonight to his stepfather, Diego decided to express all his intentions as soon as possible. Without wasting time Diego immediately ran to the bathroom to freshen up his body. If usually Diego spends a lot of time taking a shower, this time Diego didn’t want to linger in the bathroom.
After drying his body, Diego immediately put on comfortable casual clothes for relaxing. Although a little tense, Diego tried to calm down, he didn’t want his stepfather to read his true intentions. After drinking water, Diego immediately came out of his room to the room of his stepfather who would soon become his father-in-law. Yes, Diego intends to express his intention to marry Gina to his stepfather tonight.
"Dad..."
"Come in, Son. The door is unlocked."
Diego’s smile widened when he heard the answer from his stepfather, without wasting time Diego rushed in. Julian was pouring wine into a glass when Diego came in.
"Daddy hope you don’t mind if we have another drink," said Julian quietly as he shook the bottle of wine in his hand.
Diego smiled. "Of course it’s fine, Dad. I’m not a kid who gets drunk if I drink a few more glasses of wine."
"Daddy knows that, that’s why Daddy offers you a drink," Julian answered back quickly. "Sit down, Daddy will bring wine to the balcony."
Diego nodded slowly, slowly he walked towards the balcony whose door had been opened by Julian earlier. Diego chose to sit on a bench that was right next to the bedroom door. He felt that the position of the bench was more comfortable because by sitting on that chair he could read all the expressions of his stepfather who would later sit in the corner.
And Diego’s choice was right, because when Julian sat in front of him his vision was limited.
"So what do you want to talk about?" said Julian slowly starting the conversation.
Diego straightened his body, one of his trademarks if he wanted to talk seriously Diego always sat in a perfect position. "How much does Daddy love Gina?"
Julian’s expression immediately changed. "Why do you ask like that? Shouldn’t you know without Daddy telling?"
"I know, but I want to hear it directly from Daddy," Diego said stubbornly.
"Daddy loves Gina very much. Right now, Daddy’s focus is to continue to be with Gina, to give the best for her and the baby. Daddy has made one big mistake by abandoning her since childhood, so now Daddy wants to make amends for Daddy’s mistakes. ." Julian stopped his speech, trying to guess where Diego’s unpredictable conversation was going. "What’s wrong, why are you asking this to Daddy? Do you feel that all of Daddy’s attention lately is only on Gina, do you mind if Daddy..."
"No Dad, for God’s sake I don’t mind at all. I’m supportive of everything Daddy does." Surprisingly Diego suddenly grabbed Julian’s hands and gripped them tightly while kneeling on the floor. "If I was in Daddy’s position right now I would do the same thing."
"Then what is the purpose of you asking like that?" asked Julian curiously.
"Before I answer that question I still want to ask Daddy another question, Daddy doesn’t mind if I ask you another question?"
Julian smiled. "Ask, Son. As long as Daddy can afford it, Daddy will answer."
Diego swallowed hard, trying not to change his current warm gaze on his stepfather. "Has Daddy forgiven all my mistakes? The mistakes I made because I was still stupid and too obedient to Mommy."
"Daddy is not a vindictive person, of course Daddy has forgiven you. Moreover, for the past five years you have proven your sincerity by making our hotels again get various awards from the international world, there is not the slightest doubt in Daddy, Son," said Julian honest. "Since your mother brought you home decades ago, Daddy has fallen in love with you. Daddy has treated you like Daddy’s own son."
Diego, who is very good at changing his facial expressions, immediately put on a moved face, trying to gain sympathy for his stepfather as much as possible. "I’m really very lucky to be Daddy’s son, I also really regret all the mess I’ve done in the past, Dad. That’s why I try to do my best, try to make Daddy proud of me. Even though I’m just an obscure child."
"Diego, why are you talking like that!! Who said your status is unclear? You’re a Sanders, Son. You’re my son, the son of Julian Sanders," said Julian quickly starting to be provoked by the bait Diego gave.
Diego smiled. "People out there call me that, Dad. Given my naughty teenage years people look down on me and think I’m just lucky enough to run the Sanders family company."
Surprisingly Julian immediately grabbed Diego’s shoulders. "Tell Daddy, tell me who dares to talk to you like that? Daddy’s going to do the math for him."
"Don’t worry Dad, I don’t want to remember those people’s faces anymore either."
"Son..."
"What I want is clarity of status, Dad,"
Julian frowned. "Status clarity, what do you mean?"
"I want to be a full Sanders, Dad," Diego said firmly. "Let me marry Gina, Dad. I want to be a protector for Gina and her baby and all the Sanders."
