Chapter 445: Requirements from Julian

After thinking for a long time, Gina finally decided to contact Diego, she must immediately inform Diego about the permissions and conditions proposed by Massimo if she wants to work and live in Barcelona. What is on Gina’s mind right now is to immediately tell her brother everything about Massimo, even though Diego is his father’s right hand man at this time. Diego’s voice was as strong as his father’s, so Gina had to immediately tell him about Massimo’s unreasonable requirements.

"Hello... sorry Gina, I was in the meeting room listening to a presentation from the finance department. Sorry if I didn’t pick up your call." Diego spoke without pause when Gina picked up the phone, feeling guilty that ignoring Gina’s two previous calls made Diego immediately leave the meeting room and call Gina straight away.

"I should be the one apologizing, Diego. I didn’t know you were in a meeting earlier."

"Hmm no, don’t talk like that. You don’t need to apologize, remember family comes first. What’s wrong Gina, it seems there is important news you want to convey to your brother," Diego said softly.

Gina took a deep breath before finally telling Diego what Massimo had told her an hour ago, while Gina was talking Diego didn’t interrupt Gina’s conversation at all. Diego looks very shocked to hear what Gina said about Massimo’s terms.

"I know Massimo’s terms are very unreasonable, that’s why I have to tell you immediately. Honestly I was also very surprised when Massimo said that but I can’t do anything, now the decision is on Daddy and you. If both of you don’t mind Massimo’s request to have an office in our family office then I can help you with the company but if Massimo’s request can’t be granted then I..."

"Let me think first, Gina." With a hoarse voice barely audible Diego cut Gina’s words.

"Okay then, I’ll wait for further news from you. Then I hang up, okay. Bye."

Prank

Diego, who was standing next to the meeting room, threw his cell phone violently on the floor, the anger burning in his chest that he couldn’t hold back any longer. Massimo always messed up all the plans he had carefully made.

With a tight chest, Diego then hurriedly went to Julian Sanders’ room, his stepfather, which was currently tightly closed from the inside because Julian was receiving guests from government officials. Diego, who was still a little sane, decided to stand by the door, leaning against the wall waiting for the meeting of his father and guest to finish. Diego’s wait was finally over. Three people from the mayor’s office came out of Julian Sanders’ room with big smiles. It seems they have good news to bring from their meeting with the number one hotelier in Barcelona.

"Diego, what are you doing here, Son?" said Julian, surprised when he saw Diego standing by the door with a sad expression.

Diego smiled sadly, putting on a sad face. "Something bad happened, Dad."

"What? Ok ok ... we’ll talk inside," said Julian quickly, as fast as his movement that immediately embraced Diego and led him into his private room.

As soon as Diego sat down, Julian rushed to his refrigerator and took two soft drinks from it and brought them to the sofa where Diego was sitting. "Drink, you’ll be better off drinking, Son."

Diego lifted his face, looking at his stepfather who was holding out his favorite drink. "Thank you, Dad."

Julian smiled. "It’s nothing."

Without making a sound Diego opened the soft drink cover in his hand, in one gulp Diego finished the drink without any residue and put the empty bottle on the table with a little roughness. Seeing that Julian smiled a little, he knew something was wrong with his proud son at this time. So Julian decided to give Diego time to calm himself down.

"Dad," Diego said quietly, breaking the silence.

"Yes."

"I’m sorry, I’m really unreliable. I’m really useless, sorry if until now I can’t give the best for the company and Daddy," Diego said back in a barely audible voice.

"What’s the matter, Diego? Why are you speaking so incoherently? What has happened to you?" asked Julian, confused.

Diego, who is very clever in playing the role, then tells everything that Gina has just said to his stepfather with his cunning. Diego adds some things that Gina didn’t actually say, Diego deliberately does that to make Massimo’s name worse in the eyes of Julian Sanders.

"I really feel sorry for Gina. She was very depressed in that house, but on the other hand I couldn’t do anything. Massimo was too strong to be resisted," Diego said quietly ending his free essay.

Julian’s face turned red with anger, Diego’s words managed to ignite the flames of anger. "If that’s what you want then let it go, Son. The most important thing right now is Gina."

"What? So Daddy let that bastard work in our company? He’s a mobster, Dad. Our company’s image will be ruined if that person works here."

"But that’s the only way to get Gina to gather with us again, Diego. Besides that, you will also be helped by Gina’s presence, your heavy work will be a little lighter if Gina is with us," said Julian wisely, wise according to his own ego.

"But Dad..."

"Relax, Diego. If Massimo does things or destroys our company’s image, he will face Daddy right away, even though Daddy is his father-in-law."

Diego’s hands were clenched into fists, he looked angry and annoyed because he didn’t expect to get such an answer from Julian. Diego, who initially wanted to ask Julian for help to get Massimo to let Gina work without having to get close supervision from Massimo, now has to let Massimo get what he wants, which is to work in the same office as him and Gina. Diego’s plan to make Gina fall into his arms was even harder to do because Massimo didn’t want to let go of Gina’s hands, considering that Diego’s emotions were rekindled.

"Call Gina and tell her that Daddy agreed to Massimo’s request to have an office at our company but on one additional condition from Daddy," said Julian, suddenly breaking Diego’s thoughts.

Diego raised an eyebrow. "Additional terms from Daddy?"

"Yes."

"What conditions, Daddy?" Diego asked timidly, he was worried that his stupid stepfather would set conditions that would put him in trouble in the future.

Julian smiled. "Tell Gina to ask her husband to stay with us at the Sanders residence."

"WHAT??!!"
