His soul-Chapter 44: Worse
Gina who was hungry immediately rushed to her favorite churros shop which was not far from where she lived, lucky when Gina came the condition of the shop was empty so Gina’s order could be made immediately without queuing up.
"Thank you," said Gina quickly when she received her order from the seller.
"You’re welcome, oh yes, is there a lack of chocolate sauce?"
Gina shook her head. "No, that’s enough. I don’t want to be fat."
The salesman chuckled. "A girl as beautiful as you even if a little fat will be more adorable, Miss."
"That’s not the reason, I’m afraid that if I gain weight I won’t be able to run anymore," Gina answered honestly as she took a big bite of the original churros.
"You can, miss, enjoy. If you don’t have enough sugar or chocolate, don’t hesitate, okay?"
Gina nodded her head quickly as fast as she moved away from the front of the shop because there were other customers, as usual when enjoying churros Gina would sit on a chair in front of the food stalls. When Gina was licking her hand that was covered in powdered sugar, suddenly someone gently touched her shoulder.
"Ah, it’s true, I’m not wrong," said a woman who had just touched Gina’s shoulder.
"Who? Do we know each other?" asked Gina confused.
"Jesus, you forgot about me?" the woman asked again with a look of disbelief.
"I really don’t know, did I ever make things difficult for you or... aww" Gina screamed loudly when her hand was pinched by the mysterious, pretentiously familiar woman.
"You really are, I am the woman you used to help when my lover had an affair with my employee," said the woman quickly. "My name is Francia the owner of the restaurant." Francia’s hand immediately pointed at the restaurant which was not far from where they were currently sitting.
Gina’s memory immediately returned when the woman in front of her pointed to a simple restaurant which a few weeks ago was very busy because the restaurant owner caught her fiancé having an affair with an employee.
Francia smiled at the change in Gina’s expression. "How? You remember right?"
"Yes," said Gina shortly.
"Francia, what’s your name?"
Gina, who had just taken a bite of the churros, immediately covered her mouth so that the food in her mouth wouldn’t come out. "G-gina."
Francia smiled, she was more interested in Gina’s personality. "Eat the churros first, then you can talk comfortably."
Gina nodded slowly in response to Francia’s words, because in her hand there was still one churros Gina offered to Francia. However, Francia, who doesn’t like sweets, politely refused Gina’s offer, after five minutes finally all the churros in her hands had moved into her stomach. Gina ended her lunch by drinking mineral water that she previously bought at the mini market in the apartment.
"Ok, I’m done. What do you want to talk about?" Gina asked softly as she wiped her lips with a tissue.
"Work for me, Gina. I need an employee I can trust."
"Hey, are you serious? But look at me, I can’t cook. Moreover, your restaurant is a restaurant that sells Asian food, I don’t want to make you bench," said Gina quickly.
Francia smiled. "Working in a restaurant doesn’t mean you have to be able to cook, Gina. There are many other positions in a restaurant that you can occupy."
"Really? What positions are currently vacant?"
"Cashier, assistant chef, waiter, dishwasher. Please choose which one you like," Francia answered quickly without guilt mentioning all the vacant positions in her restaurant.
Gina buys. "You fired all your employees?"
Francia chuckled. "Technically yes, but actually I’m just looking for a healthier circle."
Gina was silent hearing Francia’s words, her memories of the events of that time replayed in Gina’s mind. Her little heart also felt sorry for Francia who was betrayed by two people at once, even though the incident had passed for a long time, Gina was sure that Francia still had pain, it was proven by the dismissal of all of her employees.
"Are you going to move out of here?" Gina asked quietly.
"Wow, how do you know? Looks like we’re really compatible, Gina. How do you want to work with me, don’t worry, the restaurant I’m going to open later isn’t a heavy food restaurant like my old restaurant. My plan is to open a fried chicken restaurant elsewhere, not here. I want to find a new atmosphere, "Francia answered passionately. "Don’t worry, you’ll only be hired as a cashier, Gina. Because later there will be a chef to help us."
Gina took a deep breath. "Give me time to think."
"Two days, you only have two days. Oh yeah, where’s your phone?"
"What for?"
Francia held out her hand to Gina. "I borrow it for a moment, calm down I have no bad intentions."
Without speaking, Gina grabbed her cell phone from her bag and gave it to Francia, Francia immediately grabbed Gina’s cellphone and was immediately busy with the cellphone screen before finally the sound of the cellphone ringing louder from behind the trousers that Francia was wearing.
"That’s my cell phone number, I’ll call you again tomorrow," Francia said quickly as she handed Gina’s phone back. "I’m glad to see you again, Gina. I hope to be good friends with you despite our age gap."
"How old are you?" Gina asked subconsciously.
"On the ID card, my age is 32 years old, even though I’m still 28 years old. Do you know why I was made 4 years older?" asked Francia with a smile.
Gina shook her head.
Francia took a deep breath. "I was made older so I could marry the man my family owed him when I was 16."
"Jesus." Gina immediately screamed loudly by covering her mouth with both hands. "You were forced to marry young?"
Francia chuckled. "Not forced into marriage, forced to become a sex slave of the person I should call father more accurately."
"Sorry."
"No, you don’t need to apologize. It’s a part of my life so I don’t mind. I’ve been divorced for a long time anyway so I can rest easy now and don’t feel sad anymore when I think about my past."
Gina clenched her fists hearing Francia’s words, she really didn’t expect to meet someone who had worse luck than her.
Oh God, forgive me. Gina groaned inwardly.
"Well then I’ll stay, I have to watch the workers who are dismantling my restaurant," said Francia suddenly breaking Gina’s daydream.
"Okay."
"I’ll call you again, Gina. See you tomorrow, Bye." Francia waved her hand at Gina before finally running back to her restaurant.
Gina continued to stare at Francia until finally the cheerful woman entered the restaurant again where her cooking utensils were being taken to be transferred to her new restaurant using a pick-up car that had stopped in front of the restaurant entrance.
"What should I do, ma’am? Should I be friends with her or not?" Gina said softly as she gripped her cell phone whose number was now owned by Francia.

"So Yohanes already knows that we have removed our security at his hotel?" asked Massimo quietly, shaking the glass of brandy in his hand.
"Yes sir."
Massimo smiled coldly. "Then why isn’t the old man looking for me?"
"Julian’s son is hospitalized with a heart attack, sir. That’s why he’s busy with his son."
The hideous smile on Massimo’s face grew wider. "Heartache? Hmm.. interesting."
