His soul-Chapter 393: Diego’s mask
During the meeting, Diego looked very restless and unfocused. After seeing the photo sent by Rosa, Diego’s concentration fell apart. Luckily there was Julian, who handled everything quickly so the meeting went on properly without any problems.
"Are you ok, Son?" asked Julian worriedly at Diego not long after the video call with Mr Xavier in Paris ended.
Diego nodded slowly. "I’m fine, Dad."
"Are you serious? You’re sweating profusely, look." Julian showed Diego his sweaty hands.
Seeing his own sweat on his father’s hands made Diego smile a little, when he was nervous or panicked, Diego was always like this. Therefore he was not surprised at all to see a lot of sweat pouring out.
"I was just a little nervous earlier, Dad."
Julian frowned. "Nervous? Why be nervous? Haven’t you met Mr Xavier in Paris in person before?"
"Indeed, I was nervous because I was afraid Daddy would disappoint. We’re going to spend a lot of money on this project in Paris, so I’m afraid Daddy will —"
"Diego." Julian interrupted Diego’s words quickly. "Haven’t we discussed this matter a long time ago, huh. Then why are you talking like that now? If Daddy doesn’t agree, then Daddy has rejected the proposal you brought back then."
Surprisingly Diego immediately hugged Julian tightly. "Thanks, Dad. I promise I won’t let you down, I promise, Dad."
Julian smiled, the man lovingly patted Diego on the back. During these five years Julian had really been made very proud by Diego who managed to make all the hotels owned by the Sanders family experience a rapid increase, not having a son of his own seed made Julian so adored Diego today. Julian did not realize that the child he was proud of was a snake that could eat him at any time. Diego really managed to hide his true face well from behind the mask he had been wearing all this time.
Because there was still a lot of work to be done, Julian left Diego’s and returned to his own room with Charlie, who was always loyal to him. After the door to his room was closed from the outside, Diego immediately took out his cell phone and engaged in a serious conversation with his men for almost fifteen minutes.
"Don’t disappoint me, I want to see the results this week," Diego said hoarsely for a moment before he hung up the phone with his right hand.
With his hands still clenched into fists, Diego stared intently at the screen of the two of them, which showed an intimate photo of Massimo and Gina at the graves of Yohanes and Barbara Sanders.
"Sooner or later you’ll be mine, Gina. You’re the only way to make me the rightful heir to the Sanders family."

"Why don’t we have lunch at home?"
"Usually at lunch time all the restaurants will be full, wouldn’t it be better if we go home and eat at home?"
"Babe..."
Pretending not to hear what Massimo said, Gina continued to talk to Rosa about which restaurant they would go to for lunch.
"Gina," Massimo growled warningly. "Why are you ignoring me?"
Gina immediately turned to Massimo as soon as the man called her name directly. "What now?"
"Didn’t you hear what I said earlier?"
"I’ve been away from Barcelona for a very long time, Massimo. Is it okay if I want to go for a walk?"
"It’s not impossible, it’s just that..."
"It’s just that you’re afraid that on the road we’ll accidentally run into one of the women who warmed your bed, huh?" Rosa boldly provoked Massimo.
Massimo immediately turned his gaze to Rosa who was sitting in front of him. "I’m talking to my wife, so don’t interfere. You are someone else."
"Rosa is my sister and no one else!" said Gina quickly. "The other one is you, Massimo."
"Gina!"
"What am I saying is true, isn’t it? You are someone else, who in the end became my husband. If we were related by blood then we would not be allowed to marry."
Massimo’s jaw hardened. "Even if we are related by blood, why? I will still marry you."
"Don’t be crazy, Massimo!" Gina screamed in surprise, she didn’t expect to hear such words from Massimo.
Massimo grinned widely. "To get you I will do anything, even if it has to move a mountain."
Gina shook her head glaring at Massimo in horror, not long after that Gina hurriedly moved to the seat next to Rosa facing Massimo who was sitting with his legs spread apart. Very manly and dominant.
Rosa who had hugged Gina suddenly felt tight being in the same place as Massimo, the handsome mobster who had become his brother-in-law was completely insane. Instantly Rosa felt sorry for Gina for having to face Massimo’s madness every day. Rosa desire to free Gina from Massimo was even greater.
Massimo’s convoy finally stopped in front of a luxury shopping center, Gina was not surprised by the place her step sister had chosen at this time. After all, Rosa was born with a golden spoon, so it’s no surprise that Rosa’s taste buds are very high.
"Uh look at that, Gina!!" screamed Rosa loudly as she pointed at the window of a very famous Parisian bag shop. "That’s the latest model bag that came out this month, let’s see."
"Bag?"
Rosa smiled at Gina, the next second Rosa pulled Gina forcibly to the bag shop which was quite busy. Never buying a luxury bag made Gina feel strange. According to her, the price for a bag that is equivalent to a car is something that doesn’t make sense.
"Shall we enter, sir?" Martin asked quietly to Massimo who was still frozen in the last place he had been left alone by Rosa and Gina.
Massimo shook his head. "Not now, just let the ladies have their fun."
Martin nodded slowly. "Yes sir, I understand."
Massimo returned his focus to Gina who just followed Rosa wherever she went, from the way Gina saw the rows of bags that Massimo easily bought, it was clear that Gina was not very interested. Gina being the only woman in the shop who didn’t talk much, Gina only opened her mouth when a shopkeeper reprimanded her. Her graceful and calm demeanor was truly classy and Massimo loved her.
"How about this? Do you like it?" Rosa asked Gina for the umpteenth time, pointing at the red bag that became the best seller in the store.
Gina smiled. "The bag is beautiful, the colors are very bold."
"Ish, it’s you. Answer my question, Gina. Are you there or not?" Rosa grumbled exasperatedly, continuously rejected by Gina, making Rosa’s patience almost run out.
"Every woman in this shop will love it, Rosa."
"I’m not asking other women’s opinion, I’m asking you!" said Rosa curtly.
Gina chuckled amusedly, slowly she took Rosa’s hand and pulled her slowly towards her. "I’m suffocating in this shop, the smell of this mixed perfume makes me sick."
Rosa blinked her eyes at Gina, looking very shocked when she heard Gina take her out of the shop that no one else could enter.
"I’m already hungry, Rosa. Let’s go find something to eat, then we’ll continue shopping again," added Gina half-whispered again. "This shop is very busy, after all, I’m sure the maids won’t be serving us right away either."
Rosa took a deep breath, what Gina said was true. Shopping in a busy shop is really uncomfortable, without saying anything Rosa then invites Gina out of the shop. Several young girls who previously entered simultaneously with Rosa and Gina seemed to sneer at them loudly, they quipped Gina and Rosa who only wanted to be stylish by entering an expensive bag shop. Hearing their gossip made Rosa immediately stop her steps, if it weren’t for Gina’s restraint, Rosa might have returned to the shop by now and taught the girl who was not far from them.
"It’s finished?" Massimo asked softly to Gina who had stopped in front of him.
Gina shook her head. "I’m hungry, let’s eat."
Massimo chuckled. "Okay, let’s go find some food. Still want to eat Japanese food?"
"Yes, I want to eat sashimi," Gina answered excitedly. In contrast to Rosa who looked very uninspired, Rosa was still annoyed at the four girls who had teased her and Gina openly a moment ago.
"Okay, let’s go to the restaurant. Martin already booked a place for us."
With a big smile, Gina wrapped her arms around Rosa’s and Massimo’s at the same time. "Let us eat."
Massimo smiled when he saw Gina chose to embrace him and Rosa at the same time, it was clear Gina’s efforts to make Rosa and Massimo close. Even though she didn’t know what Massimo and Rosa had been talking about earlier at home, Gina was sure that some harsh words had come out of their lips. Knowing the nature of the two people well made Gina sure of her guess.
As Massimo had said before, the Japanese restaurant they were currently visiting immediately greeted them warmly and immediately led them into a special room that had been booked by Martin. Sitting on the floor covered with a special pillow, Massimo asked Gina to sit right beside him without any distance.
"Gina’s not going anywhere, you don’t have to be that scared, Massimo," said Rosa quietly sarcastically at Massimo’s actions that forced Gina not to be far from him.
Massimo stuck his tongue out at Rosa. "So get married, once you’re married you’ll know how we feel. Don’t delay or that Alex-Alex cheated on you with the nurses that got you out of the hospital, Rosa."
Rosa’s two green eyes widened, staring intently at Massimo. "How do you know about that incident?"
"Even though I haven’t lived in Barcelona for a long time, I know all the info about Barcelona, Rosa. Especially if it has to do with the Sanders family, my wife’s family," said Massimo quietly as he tightened his grip on Gina’s left thigh which was attached to him.
"You and Alex had a fight, Rosa?" asked Gina to join in.
Rose shook her head. "No, we’re fine."
"Really? If he wasn’t fighting why did he stay silent when he found out that you suddenly left the hospital?" said Massimo softly teasing Rosa.
Gina immediately turned to Massimo quickly. "Ish you, can you be quiet or not?"
Like a child receiving a stern warning from his mother, Massimo immediately covered his mouth with both hands with a pitiful expression.
Gina shook her head at Massimo’s attitude, and returned to focus on Rosa. Finally, Gina asked Rosa to tell what really happened to Rosa and Alexandre’s relationship. Knowing Alexandre and his family longer than Rosa, makes Gina partly responsible for what happened to Rosa.
While Gina and Rosa were having a serious conversation, Massimo talked to the waiter ordering some special food for Gina. Massimo didn’t want to take the risk by letting Gina eat carelessly.
"Oh Rosa, it’s not your fault," said Gina concerned.
Rosa smiled bitterly. "My fault, Gina. I can’t control my emotions."
Gina shook her head. "No, you’re innocent. I would do the same if I were in your position."
"Is that true?" asked Rosa in disbelief.
"Yeah, I’ll do whatever it takes to get rid of the flies that try to get close to the guy I like," Gina answered firmly without hesitation, Gina didn’t realize that Massimo had been watching her for a long time.
"Ah Gina." Rosa immediately grabbed Gina’s hand and gripped it tightly. "Thank you for supporting me."
"Of course, we’re sisters, Rosa. If only Alexandre ..."
"I love you Gina." Massimo interrupted Gina’s words suddenly. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"Eh?’
Massimo moved his hand to the back of Gina’s neck and pulled her closer, then without permission Massimo landed a long and deep kiss on Gina’s lips. Gina, who didn’t expect to be kissed by Massimo couldn’t do anything and could only let Massimo take what he wanted. Gina knows that fighting Massimo and rejecting him will only make the man more violent.
Rosa, who was very surprised to see Massimo suddenly kiss Gina, was only able to open her lips wide with her eyes already perfectly rounded.
"I love you, Dear. Don’t be afraid, I won’t let those stinky flies come near me," Massimo said softly in between his kisses on Gina, his lips wet with his own saliva and Gina looked slightly parted and looked sexy.
Gina blinked her eyes, her head felt Sudden pain. Getting a deep and hot kiss from Massimo unannounced made her barely breathe. Rosa who could not stand seeing Massimo and Gina’s affection immediately coughed a little, trying to make Massimo and Gina aware of her existence.
"Rosa! " Gina shrieked in surprise.
Rosa smiled broadly at Gina. "Why? Yes, just realized there are other people near you?" Rosa retorted sarcastically.
