Chapter 351: Still my wife

Diego, who had just gotten out of the car, immediately stopped when he heard his name being called.

"Gina," Diego muttered hoarsely, unable to believe the figure of the girl who had just called his name.

The next second Diego took off his glasses and approached Gina who was already running towards him.

"Gina, are you here? Where’s Uncle? You’re not alone, are you?" Diego asked over and over again, unable to hide his surprise seeing Gina in Paris.

Gina who was already hugging Diego still locked her lips tightly, she was still too scared to speak.

"Gina..."

"Well..well, look who is here?"

Diego, who was looking down immediately lifted his face when he heard a very familiar voice in his ears, when he managed to see the figure who had just spoken quickly Diego grabbed Gina’s hand and hid the girl behind his body. Diego makes himself a shield for Gina.

Seeing what Diego did to Gina made Massimo smile.

"Massimo del Cano," Diego hissed coldly.

"Looks like our world is really small, huh."

"What do you want? Why did you break the agreement we made earlier?" Diego asked curtly.

Massimo smiled. "Breaking the agreement? Who broke the agreement?"

"Don’t provoke me, Massimo," Diego growled warningly.

"I wasn’t looking for my wife, not even thirty minutes ago I didn’t know that Patrick Davidson was the one most responsible for Gina’s disappearance over the past five years. Then how can you call me a renegade?"

"You’re really good at talking, Massimo. You’re still the same as you used to be, asshole and insolent," said Diego curtly.

Massimo was heard. "What I said is true, I didn’t break any agreement. If you don’t believe me please ask my wife."

"Gina is not your wife!"

"How can Gina not be my wife? For five years you have hidden her, I have never divorced her. Our marriage is still legal in the eyes of law and religion," said Massimo coldly. "You are for you dear, what I said in the toilet earlier still applies, remember that carefully."

Gina looked up at Massimo over Diego’s shoulder, Gina understood where Massimo was talking.

"I never play with my words," added Massimo again.

"Don’t threaten my sister, Massimo. You have no right to that," Diego said curtly, tightening his grip on Gina’s hand. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Massimo wet his lips, his attention was turned to Gina’s college friends who looked confused looking at the three of them. Massimo slowly approached James and his friends who were looking at him in bewilderment.

"You know the girl hiding behind that guy, James?" asked Massimo quietly as he patted James on the shoulder.

James nodded slowly. "Of course you know, she’s Gina, our classmate. Why is that, sir?"

"Do you know his full name?"

"Georgina Garcia." James slowly mentioned Gina’s full name, which he had been carrying for the past five years.

Massimo narrowed his eyes when he heard Gina’s last name, he cursed in his heart when he knew Patrick Davidson changed Gina’s last name.

"No, her name is Georgina del Cano," said Massimo in a low, emphatic voice as he mentioned the last name Gina should have taken.

"Georgina del...what?!"

James screamed loudly when he realized Gina’s last name was called Massimo and it wasn’t just James who was surprised, Lauren and all her friends also showed the same reaction. Some of them even covered their mouths with their hands.

"S-so your wife is..."

"Yes, Georgina is my wife," Massimo said quietly, cutting off James’ words that had managed to overwhelm him.

From behind Diego’s body, Gina could be seen pressing her forehead on Diego’s back, Gina felt weak when she heard Massimo’s words.

"It’s ok, Gina. I’m here," Diego whispered softly trying to calm Gina.

"I should have stayed in New York, Diego. I should have listened to Uncle not to go with my friends," said Gina hoarsely holding back tears.

Not wanting to hear Gina cry, Diego quickly grabbed Gina’s hand and pulled her into his arms.

From where he was standing Massimo narrowed his eyes at the sight of Gina being hugged by Diego, Massimo’s jaw clenched showing great jealousy. Martin who realized Massimo’s anger immediately acted quickly, Martin ordered his men to surround Diego, hugging Gina. Diego, who did not come alone, was immediately protected by his men, who were equally armed as Martin’s men.

Since he was on the road, Martin then invited Massimo and Diego to talk in a more comfortable place. At first Diego refused to be asked to go by Martin, but realizing that he was outnumbered by the guards, Diego finally relented and followed Martin’s invitation to talk.

When she entered the restaurant which had just become her meeting place with Massimo, Gina slowly lifted her face, looking at Lauren who looked very confused. Gina shook her head slowly when she saw Lauren’s code asking her for an explanation, Gina was too confused to start talking. Everything was too sudden for Gina.

When Massimo, Gina and Diego had entered the restaurant Martin then explained to all of Gina’s friends carefully. Martin tells several important parts of Massimo and Gina’s life journey, including Gina’s original family who are the owners of dozens of luxury hotels in Spain.

Elina, Lauren, Brobi and the others opened their mouths wide when they found out that Gina was a Sanders. The fact that Gina was the wife of Massimo del Cano was enough to surprise them, especially with the fact that Gina’s identity was the daughter of the most famous hotelier in Barcelona.

Of all the people, only James involved was not too surprised, it seemed that James had already been able to predict Gina’s true identity. All the questions that had been lingering in his head were finally answered, now James knew why Patrick Davidson was keeping Gina so tight.

"So how long are you going to keep hugging my wife like that, Diego?" asked Massimo coldly, mocking Diego’s actions.

Diego smiled. "Gina feels safer with me."

"Really? Of the two of us who have a closer relationship with Gina,I am her husband. While you are just a half-brother," Massimo sarcastically said.

"Even though I’m only a step brother but I care about her, it’s not like you who claim to be a husband but all you do is hurt her," Diego replied no less scathingly as he tightened his grip on Gina’s waist.

Seeing Diego’s fingers entrenched in Gina’s waist made Massimo angry, he wanted to break Diego’s hand right now.

"Don’t forget your attitude, Diego," Massimo growled warningly.

"I didn’t do anything wrong, all I did was protect my sister from a bad and cunning person like you."

Massimo chuckled. "Evil and cunning? Me? Not wrong? We both know who is more evil and cunning."

Diego’s face changed when he heard Massimo’s words, his heart was also pumping faster at this time. Diego understood what Massimo had just said.

"Since I’m currently happy to meet my wife then I will forgive your rudeness today to me," said Massimo again, while giving Gina a warm smile who had been trying to avoid eye contact with Massimo. "And for you dear, please move to sit next to me. There are many things I want to talk to you about."

"No!" Diego immediately responded to Massimo’s words quickly. "You’re not allowed anywhere near Gina, you promised, Massimo!"

"Damn it, you’ve always been talking about that damn agreement. Is there anything in that agreement that I’ve broken? Nothing, right? During these five years I didn’t find out or approach Gina, for five years I also let you family Sanders live in peace. Who do you think for the past five years has looked after your business, huh?"

Diego choked, he lost an argument with Massimo who alluded to his family business which had really run smoothly in the last five years.

"I have kept the ridiculous agreement you made five years ago and even if today I meet Gina it is a fate that God has ordained for us."

Diego smiled coldly. "Don’t bring God into this conversation, because you don’t deserve to mention God’s name."

"I may be an asshole, but I haven’t forgotten who my God is and you have no right to forbid me from mentioning God’s name."

Massimo’s last words made Gina’s chest tremble slightly, the man she had been trying to forget for the past five years turned out to be completely different. If Gina hadn’t heard the words Massimo had just said, she probably wouldn’t have believed that the man could speak wisely.

When the atmosphere was tense, from the door there was the sound of a suitcase wheel being pulled. And sure enough, from the direction of the door Martin appeared with a rose gold suitcase with an orange maple leaf sticker which was Gina’s suitcase.

"Give me back my suitcase!" Gina said spontaneously when she recognized the suitcase in Martin’s hand, her voice shaking slightly.

"Sorry madam, I can’t do that," Martin answered quietly as he held out a rectangular note to Massimo.

Gina narrowed her eyes at the note that was now in Massimo’s hand, the next second Gina screamed again when she recognized the note Massimo was holding.

"Give me back my passport, Massimo." After almost an hour of meeting, this was the first time Gina spoke Massimo’s name fluently.

Massimo, who had just read Gina’s name on the passport smiled, Massimo really couldn’t believe that Patrick Davidson changed Gina’s last name to Garcia which was the last name of the late Sandra.

"Massimo..."

Massimo looked up at Gina.

"Yes, baby," he answered softly, warmly without guilt.

Gina’s cheeks felt hot at Massimo’s answer. "Give me back my passport."

"You don’t need this passport, Martin will take care of it," said Massimo gently.

"No, the passport is mine. I have to keep it, not Martin," said Gina hoarsely holding back tears.

"Hmmm." Massimo shook his head. "No, you’re not allowed to keep it."

Brakk..

Diego, who couldn’t stand Massimo’s attitude suddenly hit the table with a bang.

"Don’t test my patience, Massimo. Quickly return Gina’s passport and suitcase." Diego’s breath rose and fell as he spoke, it was clear that Diego was really angry right now.

Massimo who was very disturbed by Diego’s presence then gave a code to Martin to immediately get rid of Julian Sanders’ stepson from before him, Massimo wanted to immediately release his longing for Gina.

Martin, who understood his master’s code, then gave a silent command to ten of his men who were behind Diego. Gina, who was shocked that Diego was suddenly pulled out of the room, was even more surprised when he felt Massimo’s big hand wrapped around his stomach.

Lost in strength, Diego finally managed to get out of the room where Massimo and Gina were, not wanting to interfere with the reunion of a husband and wife who had been separated for more than five years without saying anything. Martin then followed his men who had taken Diego out. Really very understanding.

"I miss you, my love," Massimo said hoarsely at the back of Gina’s neck just as Martin closed the door from the outside.

"Let go, let go of me, Massimo!"

Massimo pursed his lips. "Five years, Gina. Do you think after such a long time, will I still be able to remain calm when I meet you? I’m a normal man, Gina."

Massimo’s breath landed on the back of Gina’s neck which made the girl’s entire body limp, Gina’s body reacted to its real owner. Damn it.

"I know you miss me too."

Badump...

"No! I-I’m not like that," said Gina quickly.

"Really? If you don’t miss me then why is your face red now? Don’t lie to yourself, Gina. Your body knows that I’m the owner, your body misses its owner, Gina. You’re still my legal wife, Gina."
