His soul-Chapter 160: Back home
Gina almost choked on her Caramel Macchiato when she heard Selena’s unreasonable words, Selena immediately spoke without further ado as soon as she sat in front of Gina who had been waiting for her for almost 15 minutes at the coffee shop.
"Y-you’re serious with what you said? You’re not joking, right? Then how is your boyfriend?" asked Gina many times.
Selena tossed her hair at Gina’s insistent question. "I’m very serious and as for Kyle’s thing it’s easy business, I just dumped him."
"Have you thought carefully? Massimo del Cano is a dangerous man, Selena. The man has no intention of marrying all his life, do you really want to live with a man without such a commitment?" Gina asked again.
"I want, I’d do anything as long as I can be with Massimo del Cano," Selena answered excitedly, her eyes sparkling as she spoke showing how much she wanted to be with Massimo.
Gina shook her head, she then grabbed Selena’s hand and squeezed it tightly. "Use your common sense, Selena. Don’t talk like this."
Selena, who was blinded by the power she had not yet received, immediately rebuffed Gina’s hand strongly. "I told you before, that I’m serious. So you don’t have to ask anymore, Gina. All you need to do now is help me get Massimo, that’s all. "
"Ok, I’ll help you. But I don’t know where to start," Gina said slowly relenting.
Selena, who previously rebuffed Gina’s hand hard, immediately grabbed Gina’s hand and squeezed it tightly. "Are you serious, Gina? You’re not kidding, are you?"
"Yes, I’m serious, but I’m confused about where to help. I’m just not close to the man," Gina answered honestly.
"That’s my business, the important thing is that you agree first."
"Okay."
Selena, who was very happy, got up from her chair and immediately hugged Gina tightly, this was the first time Selena had been nice to Gina.
"Okay then I have to go now, I have to finish my other business," Selena said excitedly.
"Go? So soon?"
Serena nodded her head. "Yeah, my business with you is done. Now I have to take care of Kyle, after that I can focus on Massimo," Selena replied with a big smile.
"But wait, I’m not done talking to you, Selena."
Selena’s expression immediately changed. "Especially?"
"Daddy, how is he?"
Selena rolled her eyes. "Oh about Daddy. After the doctor you called came his condition improved, even Uncle Patrick also came earlier and well I think he’s a lot better now."
"I think? Why do I feel?" asked Gina in a rising tone. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Yes, I also went straight away, Gina. I was too lazy to be at home, since Diego came home Mommy became more attentive to him. I became a stepdaughter of Mommy who always talked about Diego, Diego is so sick, I’m sick," replied Selena, annoyed.
Gina smiled, she had expected something like this to happen. Vanessa really spoils Diego, Gina’s suspicions are even greater for the mother and child.
"Never mind, don’t talk about Diego. You’re just ruining my mood, you better go home now. Daddy’s worried about you," Selena said again as she straightened her makeup.
"I’ll be home later," Gina answered shortly.
Selena smiled sarcastically, she slowly grabbed a few $100 bills from her purse and put them on the table.
"This is for the coffee you ordered for me," she said arrogantly.
"Jesus, this is too much, Selena."
Selena chuckled. "This is not a big amount for me, you just take the rest. Besides, I know your money is not as much as mine, that’s why you choose a cheap coffee shop like this to relax."
This snake cub is really sharp!
Gina smiled. "Money can’t buy everything, Selena."
"But everyone needs money, you’ll be stepped on by someone else if you don’t have money. The proof is that you chose to come to Barcelona and live with us after your mother died, didn’t you? So don’t be a teach me," Selena replied curtly,
Gina chose to remain silent and did not continue the debate with her sister, she knew if it was continued it would be very long. Selena was too talkative like her mother and Gina wasn’t in the mood to argue. Because her business was finished, Selena really left Gina’s presence. The girl immediately took her favorite car away from the front of the coffee shop, splitting the streets of Barcelona which was already starting to get crowded.
After Selena left, Gina’s thoughts returned to Vanessa and Diego, the attitude of mother and daughter was very different after Yohanes Sanders died. The two of them became more arrogant than usual, even Gina caught Selena trying to get into Julian’s tightly locked study. At first, Gina didn’t feel suspicious, but after finding out that her father’s office was her grandfather’s former office, not just anyone could enter without permission, Gina became suspicious. There must be something Vanessa was looking for that she had to try to trespass.
"No Gina, you can’t leave the house. You still have a lot of work to do, you have to find out the cause of the accident that killed Grandma. If the accident has something to do with Diego and Vanessa, it means Daddy is also in danger, no Gina...you can’t go, you have to stay in that house," Gina said hoarsely, her eyes welling with tears as she remembered her grandmother’s tragic death a few months ago.
Without waiting long, Gina then left the coffee shop with her unfinished Caramel Macchiato, Gina also brought the money that Selena left earlier. Using a Porsche car that is similar to that of her two stepsisters, Gina chooses to go home, Gina decides to cancel her intention to return to live alone in her apartment. If Selena just starts to feel uncomfortable with Diego’s presence in the house, then that means her father’s security must be increased. Even though Diego was another person who had nothing to do with the Sanders family, she could do whatever she wanted, especially now that there were no people to fear.
"You won’t be able to control the house as long as I’m still around, Diego. I won’t let you enjoy a treasure that doesn’t belong to you," Gina said quietly as she increased the speed of her car.
The Sanders Residence, 4.00 PM
"Are you ready to go home, Patrick? Don’t want to wait a little longer?" Vanessa politely asked Patrick who was getting ready to go home.
Patrick nodded his head. "Yeah, it’s getting late too."
"But you’ve waited long enough. Wouldn’t it be a pity if you went home without seeing Gina?"
"It’s okay, tomorrow I can come again and..."
Patrick stopped when he saw the Porsche that Gina was driving into the yard, the man’s smile broadened when he saw his goddaughter come.
"That’s Gina’s home," Patrick said excitedly.
Vanessa’s face darkened. "Damn it, that bastard child, why should she go home now. Fuck..."
