His Mute Wife: He Can't Sleep After She Left-Chapter 97: I Never Thought You’d Like Being Fed by Mouth So Much
When Ethan Sinclair received the photos sent by Quinn Sinclair, he had just left the hospital.
Seeing the fingers, skin and flesh torn, bone-deep in the pictures, his heart felt like it had been pricked by a needle.
He initially thought Kiana Sutton could manage, that the wound wasn’t that severe.
He even thought she might be feigning weakness, but unexpectedly, the injury was so serious.
Seeing Ethan Sinclair looking guilty and upset, Connor Grant cautiously asked, "The Fifth Master, back to the estate?"
"No! To the police station!"
Desmond Grant dared to touch his people, he should pay the price.
Previously, Ethan Sinclair had warned Desmond Grant once, thinking he would restrain himself, but unexpectedly, he only went further.
Once Ethan Sinclair steps in, Desmond Grant can forget about getting out of prison for the rest of his life; he has arranged everything to ensure Desmond Grant’s life in prison is worse than death.
When he left the police station, it was already early morning. Ethan Sinclair didn’t return to the Sinclair Estate but went to The Serene Gardens.
The Serene Gardens is a villa Ethan Sinclair bought after marrying Kiana Sutton.
Most of his days over the years, he has lived here.
Upon entering the room, it was filled with colorful Starlight flowers, and on the wall was a painting he did himself, depicting the back of a girl painting.
Every time he saw this painting, Ethan Sinclair’s heart would soften.
He walked over, gently touching the girl’s back, not knowing why his chest hurt intensely.
In the following two days, Ethan Sinclair was so busy he didn’t go to the hospital or return to the estate.
Quinn Sinclair, harboring unknown intentions, would send Ethan Sinclair daily updates about Kiana Sutton.
But Ethan Sinclair hadn’t replied to a single message.
Kiana Sutton’s treatment at the estate was comparable to a princess.
The old lady was afraid her fingers would have lingering effects and instructed the doctors to treat her hand, making Nanny Chapman prepare nourishing meals and soups for her daily.
During meals, Quinn was asked to feed her. After two days, Kiana Sutton felt she had gained some weight.
Everyone at the estate was good to Kiana Sutton, be it for the old lady’s sake or empathy for Kiana Sutton, making her very touched and grateful to them.
After Joshua Sutton finished his last exam, Quinn Sinclair found him a job.
Due to Kiana Sutton’s current inability to use her hand, Quinn told Joshua as she wished that regardless of his college entrance exam results, he must strive in life.
Fortunately, Joshua Sutton wasn’t one to give up easily; he immediately immersed himself in work, waiting for exam results to decide on other matters.
In the days Kiana Sutton spent recovering, she naturally couldn’t go to the company, and Ethan Sinclair didn’t ask about it either.
At home, everyone tacitly avoided mentioning Ethan Sinclair and Kate Lynch in her presence, and Kiana Sutton hadn’t brought it up either.
But every time she thought of Ethan Sinclair late at night, her chest would throb with a dense ache.
At night, Kiana Sutton suffered from insomnia.
That day when she hit Stella in the hospital, she was impulsive.
Upon reflecting calmly now, it seemed like her force wasn’t that strong, and even if Kate Lynch fell to the ground, it wouldn’t have caused her head to hit the steps.
Unless, she did it deliberately.
But she achieved her goal!
Ethan Sinclair cared about her; between his wife and his first love, he made a decisive choice for his first love before his wife.
Turning her, the wife, into a complete joke.
Unable to sleep, feeling a bit thirsty, Kiana Sutton didn’t want to disturb others and got up herself to go downstairs.
At twelve at midnight, everyone else had already gone to bed. Kiana Sutton quietly stepped into the kitchen, and with some difficulty, poured a glass of water using her palms.
As she managed to grip the cup with her palm ready to drink, she suddenly heard footsteps.
Startled, she failed to hold the cup steady—it fell toward the floor.
In a flurry, she reached to catch it, but a hand swiftly extended and grabbed the cup.
The cup didn’t hit the ground, and Kiana Sagefelt slightly relieved, but when she turned and saw Ethan Sinclair she hadn’t seen for a long time, her expression changed instantly.
Why... did he come back?
"Want a drink?"
No emotion was detectable in Ethan Sinclair’s voice; the sight of him brought back memories of him dragging her to apologize to Kate Lynch.
Her heart ached abruptly, her face paled a bit.
At that moment, Ethan Sinclair had already brought the water cup to her lips, "Drink it."
Wondering if it’s her illusion, Kiana Sutton felt Ethan Sinclair was a bit tender at that moment.
What’s this?
Slap in the face followed by sweet talk?
She didn’t drink, wanting to leave the kitchen directly, but found her way blocked by Ethan Sinclair.
"Didn’t you want to drink water?"
She wanted to drink water, but not water fed by him.
Who knows what tricks he might pull on her again!
Kiana Sutton shook her head, indicating she didn’t want it anymore.
"I’ll give you two choices: first, you drink with the cup like this; second, I wake people up to feed you."
In disbelief, Kiana Sutton stared at Ethan Sinclair and wondered what exactly he wanted to do.
"Isn’t having Quinn send me photos of you weakly injured every day meant to make me come back to see you? I’m back now, and you’re still acting tough and stubborn!"
Kiana Sutton was so angry her chest hurt; she had no idea Quinn was messaging him, and couldn’t believe it led to such a misunderstanding.
The doctor advised strictly against using her hand, so she could only endure.
She didn’t want to choose the first option or the second, wanting to leave directly.
But it seemed Ethan Sinclair’s patience had run out; he sneered, "Looks like you want to choose a third option."
Before Kiana had time to comprehend what he meant by "third option," his cool lips pressed down abruptly.
Realizing his intent, Kiana Sutton tightly clenched her teeth, unwilling to let him succeed.
But Ethan Sinclair knew many ways to make her open her mouth.
One gulp of water amid Kiana’s struggle splashed on their clothes and was forced by Ethan Sinclair into her throat.
He added with teasing words, "Never thought you’d like it so much, being fed water mouth-to-mouth!"
Her cheeks flushed red, half from anger, half from embarrassment, as Kiana glared at him.
Then Ethan Sinclair suddenly touched the outer corner of her eye; devoid of expression, his voice was cold, "Kiana Sutton, once you dared not even look at me; now you dare to glare at me. Not afraid I might gouge out your eyeballs?"
Ethan Sinclair’s capriciousness instilled some fear in Kiana Sutton, despite the old lady’s shelter.
Just then, a yawning servant emerged, originally intending to use the restroom. Seeing the kitchen light on, she came over to have a look.
Seeing Kiana and Ethan Sinclair in the kitchen instantly cleared half of her drowsiness.
"Young Master, Young Madam, why aren’t you asleep yet?"
Kiana Sutton wanted to leave the kitchen while the servant was present, thinking Ethan wouldn’t dare act out in her presence but was blocked by Ethan from leaving. He smiled faintly, addressing the servant, "Your Young Madam is thirsty, so I’m feeding her water."
Glancing back at Kiana with a half-smile, Ethan Sinclair remarked, "Kiana, come, drink a bit more."
