His Mute Wife: He Can't Sleep After She Left-Chapter 94: You Won’t Be Able to Save Your Hands
"Kiana!"
Miles Goodman’s eyes were bloodshot with rage and fear. He was afraid of Kiana Sutton hurting her hand, so he rushed over and grabbed her.
Kiana Sutton gripped Stella Lyncg’s clothes tightly, her teeth clenched, eyes red, wildly hitting Stella as if she’d gone insane.
There was no technique to these girls fighting—Kiana hit Stella with no sense of order, her anger having burned away all reason.
Not enough!
One slap is far from enough!
Stella deserves to die!
The wound on her freshly stitched finger split open, the white gauze dyed red, blood coloring her palm and the back of her hand.
She couldn’t even feel the pain anymore; all she wanted was to make Stella pay the price.
Miles couldn’t hold Kiana back, so he wrapped his arms around her waist, frantic, "Little Kiana, calm down! Do you not want your hand anymore?"
Kiana’s eyes were mad with fury; she struggled to break free of Miles Goodman’s grip.
Stella, furious from the blows, could never bear being beaten by Kiana like this.
This damned woman—first she stole her sister’s beloved man, now she’s hooking up with Miles Goodman, the guy she likes. If she didn’t teach Kiana a lesson today, she’d stop being a Lynch!
"Kiana Sutton, you actually dare hit me! Today, it’s either you or me!" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Stella fought back, swinging at Kiana without holding back.
Miles was torn, needing to protect Kiana’s hand while also making sure Stella didn’t hit her again.
Kate Lynch had been watching the fight from afar, and for her, the bigger the commotion, the better.
Suddenly, she noticed Ethan Sinclair approaching from a distance.
Ethan must’ve heard Stella’s voice and was now striding quickly toward the pavilion. Kate Lynch’s face changed dramatically, a thought flashing through her mind.
She didn’t have time to think; she lunged straight at Kiana Sutton.
At the same time, Kiana managed to break free from Miles’s arms, crashing hard toward Stella—planning to knock her down and pin her to the ground for a beating.
But instead of hitting Stella, she slammed into Kate Lynch, who’d suddenly appeared.
Kate Lynch was knocked hard by Kiana and fell straight backward. Seeing the steps in front of her, she closed her eyes and braced herself, letting her head hit them directly.
"Kate!"
Stella, seeing Kate Lynch’s head smash against the steps, turned pale and ran over to her.
But a quick, agile figure got there first—picked Kate Lynch up from the ground. "Kate..."
"Ian..."
Kate’s voice was fragile and incredulous as she called Ethan’s name. She gently reached for Ethan’s handsome face. "Weren’t you on a business trip? How..."
Her forehead throbbed with pain. Reaching to touch it, she saw blood on her fingers. Her face went ghostly pale, and she fainted in Ethan’s arms.
"Kate! Kate!"
Ethan’s face was terrifyingly stern and cold. He anxiously picked up Kate, but as he turned to leave for the hospital room, he shot Kiana a freezing look.
He didn’t say a word, but that glance was like an arctic blade—utterly devoid of warmth.
If looks could kill, Kiana would have been torn to pieces on the spot.
Kiana’s reason slowly returned. Her fingers hurt like they might break off, but her heart hurt more.
Is this the real pain of "ten fingers linked to the heart"?
Stella sneered as she watched, then looked at Kiana. "Did you see that? The one Ethan Sinclair loves is my sister. You hurt her, and he’ll never forgive you!"
Miles looked anxiously at Kiana, who looked unsteady on her feet, and snapped at Stella, "Shut up!"
Seeing the man she liked defending her most hated enemy made Stella even angrier. "Miles Goodman, she’s a bringer of bad luck! Anyone who gets involved with her will only suffer. I suggest you stay as far away from her as possible!"
Kiana was in terrible shape; her finger was still dripping blood. Miles didn’t want to waste any more time with Stella—he hurriedly pulled Kiana to the doctor.
The doctor unwrapped the bandage and, seeing the gaping wound, exploded, "Didn’t I tell you to rest! What the hell did you do to mess up your hand like this?"
Kiana’s face was chalk-white, her whole body numb—as if she didn’t feel any pain at all.
Seeing her wound, Miles’s nose tingled, eyes turning red on the spot. He pleaded with the doctor, "Doctor, please, you have to save her hand. She can’t speak—she can’t afford another injury."
"She doesn’t look like she cares about her own hand at all!"
"She does, she does... Doctor, I’m begging you!"
Miles was just short of kneeling. The doctor, seeing one person dazed and the other near collapse, sighed heavily, took out all the stitches, and did the suturing all over again.
"Go back and heal properly. If you keep pulling this kind of crap, no god in heaven will be able to save these hands of yours!"
"Okay, okay... I promise, I’ll watch her and make sure nothing happens again!"
Miles helped Kiana return to her hospital room. All the way back, she was like a puppet doll, obediently following whatever Miles said.
It wasn’t until they passed by Kate Lynch’s room that Kiana stopped for a second.
She turned her head and glanced at Kate’s room, seeing Ethan tuck Kate’s hair behind her ear through the window.
"Little Kiana..."
Miles called out in concern, but Kiana didn’t respond; she just resumed her steps and went back to her own room.
Half an hour later, Kiana’s hospital room door was kicked open. Ethan Sinclair stormed in, radiating cold hostility.
Miles instantly jumped up to shield Kiana. "What do you want?"
Ethan shot Miles a frosty glance. "This has nothing to do with you. Get out!"
"I’m not leaving!"
"Connor Grant!"
"The Fifth Master..."
"Get him out of here!"
Connor Grant gave the room a quick survey, walked over to Miles. "Young Master Goodman, please."
Miles knew Ethan was furious, but he couldn’t possibly leave Kiana alone to face Ethan. But before he could protest, Kiana bumped his arm with hers.
When Miles looked at her, she gave him a faint, soothing smile and glanced toward the door, indicating he should go.
"But..."
Seeing the determination in her eyes, Miles clenched his fists. He hated himself for not being someone to Kiana—he had no right to stay by her side.
Before leaving, Miles shot Ethan a cold glare. "Her hand is badly hurt. If you have a shred of conscience left, don’t hurt her anymore!"
As soon as Miles left, the smile on Kiana’s face faded. She stared quietly at Ethan, her expression utterly blank.
Ethan saw that Kiana faced Miles and him as two completely different people, and it only made his anger smolder hotter.
"I really underestimated you. In such a short time, you’ve managed to make Miles Goodman so fucking devoted to you."
