His After The Heartbreak (BL)-Chapter 143: Unnecessary Questions
Chapter 143 - Unnecessary Questions
Chapter 143- Unnecessary Questions
Logan POV
He didn't even flinch. "Because I thought you would confess," he said simply. "I thought maybe you'd admit that you brought someone into this house to have sex."
"But you won't," he added, his voice dropping lower. "Even though I know you did."
"Then go and find them!" I snapped, no longer pretending to be calm. "Since you're so sure someone's in the house, go look for them yourself! It's not that hard."
He shook his head slowly. "Logan, trust me. I don't want to find out myself. Because if I do? That trust between us?" He paused. "It's done."
He leaned closer. "That's why I'd prefer if you told me. Be honest with me, son. Let's build trust here."
I rolled my eyes so hard, I thought they were going to fall out of my skull. This man. Always trying to act like he's some wise counselor.
You want honesty?
Fine.
You'll get it.
But it won't be the truth.
"If it's honesty you want, then so be it," I said with a straight face.
He leaned forward, nodding slowly, smiling again like he finally got what he wanted.
I looked him dead in the eye and said, "Yes, I brought a lady in. And we had sex. That's what you wanted to hear, right?"
He grinned so wide you'd think he just won a lottery.
Why the hell was he smiling like that? Like this was something to be proud of?
"I'm so proud of you, Logan!" he suddenly said, his eyes lighting up like I just won some kind of trophy. "You finally made me proud... by having sex with a lady."
He clapped softly, smiling like a fool. "I can't believe it... You're making me proud."
I blinked.
Nah.
There's cringe, and then there's whatever this moment is.
I've never wanted the ground to open up and swallow me more than I did right then. My skin crawled. I felt my soul trying to leave my body from secondhand embarrassment. This couldn't be real.
Why was he talking like I just graduated from virginity school?
"Dad, seriously?" I said, trying not to sound completely disgusted. "It's not like I've been a virgin this whole time. I've had sex before. It's normal. It's not a big deal."
He kept smiling.
I was dying inside.
"Don't make it sound like I just did something extraordinary," I groaned, face-palming myself. "You're making me regret ever doing it. And now I regret that you even found out."
He didn't respond right away. Just kept smiling like he knew something I didn't.
That made it worse.
So much worse.
Then he leaned forward, still with that smile. "Now you've told me what I needed to know... but I need to ask one more thing."
I groaned loudly and slumped into the chair. "Oh no. No, no, no."
"Dad," I said firmly, "please. I'm tired. Can we end this conversation already? Can we just get this over with? You and your never-ending questions are giving me a headache."
He gave me a quick, guilty smile. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry. I'll make it snappy."
I narrowed my eyes. "So it's not just one question?"
He looked away.
My anger doubled.
"Oh my God," I muttered. "You just said 'one thing.' You lied."
"I promise, it won't take long," he said, holding his hands up like I was some wild dog he didn't want to provoke.
I sighed through gritted teeth.
"The first question is about Lucas," he said calmly. "He came to see me. Said you've been threatening him with a nude video. That you told him he needs to pay you so you'll delete it."
Silence.
I blinked slowly.
Was he being serious right now?
"So... how does that concern me?" I asked coldly.
"You believed him, didn't you?" I stared at him, jaw clenched.
He didn't say yes, but he didn't say no either.
That was all the answer I needed.
"Wow," I said bitterly. "I can't believe you. You came here with your 'questions,' but what you really wanted was to confirm what Lucas told you. So let me make it easy for you—why don't you go meet up with him again and let him tell you what happened? Or better yet, why don't you help him pay, so I can delete his so-called 'nudes' for good, yeah?"
My voice was sharp now. I didn't even care anymore.
He raised his hands like he was trying to calm the storm. "Logan, relax. I didn't mean it that way."
"Then how did you mean it?" I snapped.
"I was just trying to understand what happened between you both. You used to be close..."
"Used to," I interrupted him sharply. "The key word is was. That was then. Now? I can never be friends with that bastard again."
I stood up, done with the conversation. My chest was heaving.
"If you see him, do me a favor. Tell him to stay out of my way. Because if he dares piss me off again, I swear, I'll do something that'll make him want to jump off a building."
I meant every word.
People like him? The world is better off without them.
I turned to leave. .
"Okay then," my dad said behind me. "I'm not saying anything to him again. The issue is between you two. I already told him if he wants peace, he should talk to you directly. I'm not getting involved."
I didn't reply.
I just nodded stiffly and kept walking toward the door.
But then—
"And the next question," he said.
I stopped in my tracks.

I turned slowly and looked at him, feeling my head heat up.
"I thought that was the last question?" I asked sharply.
"This one is really the last," he said, holding back a smirk.
I ran a hand through my hair, frustrated. "Okay. Then make it quick. I'm already at my limit."
He nodded, then looked me straight in the eyes.
"Logan," he said carefully. "Someone told me Tyler is in this house."
My heart skipped.
"And not just in the house... but in your room."
He paused for a second.
Then he hit me with the question I didn't want to hear:
"You mind telling me what Tyler is doing in my house right now? And in your room?"
He leaned forward slightly.
"Was he... the one you had sex with?"
