Chapter 1267: Chapter 1202: The Divine King’s Past

"Divine King? How long ago that was!" From beneath the hood of the King of Hell, a voice of reminiscence emerged, "Back then, the Heavenly Palace under the Divine King ruled the entire Heaven Realm, and the order between the Divine-Demon Realms was pristine. The Four Supreme Spirits—the Death God, God of Space, God of Time, and God of Life—remained dutifully in Heaven, assisting the Divine King in resolving troubles. What a wondrous era that was. If it had been then, I certainly wouldn’t have dared act recklessly!"

The King of Hell continued, his tone suddenly shifting, "But you all know what happened afterwards. After the Divine King issued the ’Heaven-Sent Mandate Decree,’ he suddenly passed away. Henceforth, the Heaven Realm lost its master, the Four Supreme Spirits ruled individually, sowing the seeds of chaos. Later on, chaos eventually erupted. The God of Time went mad, causing the timeline to get scrambled, blending future with the past and twisting history; the God of Space shattered the barrier between the Divine-Demon Realms, causing a rift between the divine and demonic; Heaven was massacred; the Death God was missing; the Beast God and Forest Goddess fell in love without permission, causing unceasing war between the divine and demonic sides, with the tears of the Pantheon falling from Heaven, and the dirge of a Hymn descending to the Mortal Realm...The Heaven Realm has long been in disarray, and even now hasn’t recovered. Who would even bother to manage the affairs of the Mortal Realm?"

Continuing, the King of Hell paused, then said, "As for those God Sealers from The Second World, you need not worry at all. The Dark Demon Dragon Molei, Golden Holy Dragon Jin Shenglin, Thunder Empress, Sword Emperor, Bloodhoof the Ascendant have all been killed; the Holy Giant Dragon Georgia has disappeared without a trace; the Barbarian God Lietian was captured by the Death God and imprisoned eternally in Heroes’ Prison; the God of Faith, Johns, is indifferent to worldly affairs, and since his Feathered Race has long been extinct in The Second World, he wouldn’t care about its life or death. That leaves only the Sea God and Sword Emperor who might care about The Second World, but with the strong God of Space supporting you, there’s no need to fear these two God Sealers, right!"

"What? Jin Shenglin and the Sword Emperor are already dead? And the Barbarian God Lietian was actually captured into Heroes’ Prison!" Jiang Sheng exclaimed in surprise, "I always thought they were just missing!"

The other three Space Envoys all turned their heads in shock to look at the King of Hell; it was the first time they’d heard such news.

"I’ve lived long enough to naturally know some secrets. Not long before the Death God disappeared, I even saw him once." With hands behind his back, the King of Hell said serenely.

"Why do you want to refine The Second World?" Star River asked curiously.

"To completely eliminate those Heaven-Sent. The Heaven-Sent are variables—uncontrollable, unpredictable, and no one can foresee their future. They grow rapidly and can easily revive after death, making them nearly impossible to eradicate thoroughly. If they continue to grow, we will inevitably face severe threats sooner or later. Only by completely refining The Second World can we eliminate the hidden danger once and for all." The King of Hell stated calmly.

The four Space Envoys were not entirely convinced by the King of Hell. There are other ways to kill those Heaven-Sent without needing to refine the entire The Second World; the King of Hell must have other reasons.

However, since the King of Hell didn’t elaborate, they wisely chose not to ask further. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

The black hole beneath the King of Hell’s hood slowly scanned the four, saying: "Anyway, you needn’t fear anything, refining The Second World won’t bring any severe consequences, and you can assist me freely. Once it’s done, I’ll reward you generously, it won’t be in vain for you to lend your aid!"

The four Space Envoys exchanged glances upon hearing the last sentence, a bit tempted.

The King of Hell is revered as the Master of the Mortal World—his status is lofty, and even their master, the God of Space, occasionally needs assistance from the King of Hell.

The King of Hell’s generous reward is surely substantial.

"Alright! We agree!" Eventually, Jiang Sheng took the lead, deciding for the other Space Envoys.

"A wise decision!" The King of Hell nodded.

Suddenly, he paused and said with interest: "Interesting! In the First World, someone has actually sought out my clone..."

...

In the First World, within the Demon Clan’s base.

A mysterious python slowly crawled through the heavily defended base of the Demon Clan. On the pitch-black ground, its scales reflected light but easily slipped past the lines of defense, and the passing experts of the Demon Clan seemed to ignore it entirely.

Finally, this python made it through the layers of demonic defenses and, without anyone noticing, sneaked into the center of the Demon Clan’s main base, entering the enormous Commander’s Tent.

Inside the Commander’s Tent was the lone figure of the King of Hell’s clone.

He was facing away from the entrance, deep in thought, seemingly unaware of the mysterious python’s arrival.

Today, the First World launched a full-scale assault on the Demon Clan. The other Demon King clones, along with the other high-level demonic race members, had all gone to the front lines to battle. Only the King of Hell’s clone remained in the base, staying in the empty Commander’s Tent.

"You sneaking in here, is it to find me?" The King of Hell asked without turning his head.

The mysterious python showed no panic, as if it had already anticipated being seen through by the King of Hell. It flicked its tongue and said, "Of course!"

The King of Hell’s clone then turned around, and the empty hood gazed down at the python on the ground, leisurely saying, "Hopefully, your arrival can bring me some value; otherwise, you won’t be able to go back."

"No need to threaten me, this is just a small clone of mine, and even if it dies, it’s not a big loss," the mysterious python coiled its tail, raising its head high, and said, "I heard you are looking for something like this?"

Saying this, it opened its mouth and spit out a black-and-white breath toward the King of Hell.

The next moment, the black-and-white breath penetrated into the black hole beneath the King of Hell’s hood.

Moments later, the body of the King of Hell trembled, and the black hole under the hood contracted, rapidly absorbing all the black-and-white breath.

After a long while, the voice beneath the hood emerged again: "Indeed, that’s the breath of that thing. It seems you are no ordinary creature. From the moment you stepped into the tent, I felt a familiar feeling about you, as if you were an old acquaintance long gone. Tell me, who are you, and what condition do you require before telling me the whereabouts of that thing?"

"Who I am doesn’t matter. Furthermore, I don’t know the exact whereabouts of that thing, just some fragmented clues. I want to exchange these clues with you for a broken Divinity." The mysterious python said, shaking its tail, "This is your Demon Clan’s main base, I don’t feel safe trading with you here. In the Barbarian Continent, there is a Dragon Fall Valley, which you should know of; that place greatly restricts you. My true form is waiting there for you; only there will I feel safe to trade."

The King of Hell was silent for a while before finally, calmly uttering two words: "Very well!"
