Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method-Chapter 474: Let’s Talk Instead Of Fight
Pelion looked at Garion and gave a faint smile. "Of course not. I’m not here to block you."
He tilted his head slightly and raised one hand in a casual gesture. "I’m here to offer you a deal."
Garion frowned and took a step forward, his gaze sharp. "A deal?"
His voice dropped slightly. "What exactly are you talking about?"
He pointed directly at Pelion. "You’re an enemy, and worse, you’re from Black Chimera. Why would I even listen to anything you say?"
Pelion didn’t react to the hostility. He just smirked, relaxed as ever. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"Just listen first," he said calmly. "It won’t take long."
Garion held his stare for a moment.
There was a short pause.
Then he let out a quiet breath and crossed his arms. "...Fine."
His tone stayed firm. "Talk. But make it quick. Don’t waste my time."
Pelion nodded once. "Good."
He shifted slightly on the broken stone, still sitting comfortably. "You already know that Darius has joined Black Chimera, right?"
Garion didn’t hesitate. "Of course I know."
His expression didn’t change. "You’re the one who brought him in."
Pelion gave a small nod. "True."
He paused for a moment before continuing. "But the longer I’ve observed him..."
His eyes narrowed slightly. "...the more I dislike him."
Dahlia raised an eyebrow, glancing at Clara for a brief second.
Pelion continued, his tone still steady. "He’s ambitious. Too ambitious."
A small pause. "And worse... he doesn’t understand his place."
Garion didn’t interrupt. He just watched.
Pelion leaned back slightly. "I’m concerned that he might try to overstep... even challenge my master someday."
Garion’s eyes narrowed just a little. He understood immediately.
"...So," Garion said, his tone flat, "you want me to kill him."
Pelion nodded without hesitation. "Exactly."
He raised one finger slightly. "I’ll give you a chance."
His gaze sharpened. "A one-on-one fight against Darius."
There was a brief silence.
Clara’s lips curved slightly again, interest returning to her eyes.
Dahlia crossed her arms, watching closely.
Pelion continued. "If you win..."
He lowered his hand. "Black Chimera will withdraw from Draconia’s territory."
Garion didn’t respond immediately.
He studied Pelion for a moment. "...And if I lose?"
Pelion’s smirk returned. "Then Darius remains with us."
He tilted his head slightly. "And the territory will officially belong to Black Chimera."
He added calmly, "You should also understand something."
His tone didn’t change. "Right now, we’re not even seriously defending this place."
Dahlia frowned immediately. "...You’re saying this isn’t even your full effort?"
Pelion glanced at her briefly, then looked back at Garion. "Of course."
He gave a small shrug. "If we were serious, Drakenfel wouldn’t have escaped in the first place."
A short pause. "And you..."
His gaze stayed steady. "You wouldn’t even be standing here right now."
Clara let out a quiet laugh under her breath. "Wow... confident."
Pelion didn’t react. He simply looked at Garion. "So..."
His voice remained calm. "What do you think of my deal?"
Garion didn’t answer right away. He stayed silent for a moment, then turned his head slightly.
"Rachel," he said, "what do you think? Is this a trap?"
Rachel stepped forward and stood beside him.
She looked at Pelion for a moment, calm and steady, her expression gentle but thoughtful.
Her hands folded lightly in front of her.
"It could be," she said quietly. "They are a demonic faction. Trust is not something we can assume."
She paused briefly, then continued. "But at the same time..."
Her gaze shifted slightly, considering the situation more carefully. "If what he’s saying is true... this would be the fastest way to end the war."
Garion nodded slightly. "...Yeah. I know."
He let out a small breath, then looked back at Pelion. "...But that depends on you."
His eyes narrowed just a little. "Tell me something first."
He stepped forward slightly. "Are you actually someone we can trust?"
Pelion smiled faintly, unfazed. "Of course I am."
His tone stayed relaxed. "I represent Black Chimera, the strongest demonic faction."
He tilted his head slightly. "If this were a trap, I wouldn’t be sitting here talking to you like this."
Garion watched him for a moment. There was a short pause.
Then he nodded once. "...Fair enough."
He uncrossed his arms slightly. "Alright. I’ll take the deal."
Pelion’s smile widened just a little. "Good choice."
Garion raised one hand slightly. "But I’m adding one condition."
Pelion’s eyes narrowed with interest. "A condition?"
He smirked. "Go ahead. As long as it makes sense."
Garion nodded. "It will."
He turned his head toward Dahlia. "What I want is simple."
His voice remained calm. "It won’t be me who fights Darius."
He pointed at her. "It will be my disciple, Dahlia."
Dahlia blinked, clearly caught off guard. "...Huh?"
She pointed at herself. "Me?"
She frowned slightly, confused. "Master, what are you talking about?"
Garion looked at her and smiled faintly. "Draconia is your clan."
His tone softened just a little. "But it’s also the place that made you suffer."
He paused briefly. "So I’m giving you this chance."
His gaze stayed steady. "Finish it properly."
Dahlia hesitated for a second. "But..."
Garion smirked slightly. "Don’t tell me you’re afraid of Darius."
Dahlia snorted immediately. "Afraid? Me?"
She straightened up, her expression sharpening. "Please."
Garion’s smirk widened. "That’s more like it."
He nodded once. "Then take this chance."
His voice turned firm again. "And make sure he regrets ever starting this war."
Dahlia’s lips curved into a confident smile. "...Yeah."
She rolled her shoulders once. "I will."
Garion turned back to Pelion. "Now that I’ve said everything..."
He looked at him directly. "That should be acceptable, right?"
Pelion smirked. "Of course."
He stood up from the broken stone in one smooth motion. "Works for me."
He glanced at Dahlia briefly. "Come with me."
His voice remained calm, almost casual. "Let’s go meet your father."
Dahlia held his gaze for a second, then gave a small nod. "...Yeah."
She stepped forward, her fist tightening. "Let’s end this family mess once and for all."
No one stopped her.
Garion watched quietly from behind, arms crossed, his expression steady.
The real fight... was about to begin.
