Her Dark Desires-Chapter 69: Not Pregnant

City Hospital

Sloane, Henry, David, Cecilia, and Jason were waiting for the doctor and Amber.

Amber’s reluctance to follow the doctor made Sloane worried. She wondered if Amber had lied to her when she told her that the baby belonged to Jason.

It took less than two minutes before the doctor came back with Amber, who had tears in her eyes and eyes on the floor.

"What happened? Is the DNA test done? Why is she crying so much?" Sloane bombarded the doctor with questions immediately after they arrived.

Before the doctor could even answer any of her questions, Amber fell on the floor with a loud sob and kept repeating "I’m sorry, Mom, I’m so sorry."

"You are sorry? Why are you sorry?" Sloane asked her daughter, who kept crying; she looked at the doctor and asked, "Why is she sorry? What did you do to her?"

The doctor sighed and replied "I did nothing to her. The truth is, your daughter isn’t pregnant, so there is no need to do a DNA test."

"What? What do you mean she isn’t pregnant?" Jason asked angrily.

"It’s just as I said. The lady isn’t pregnant." The doctor repeated and excused herself.

Sloane looked at her daughter and said "You told me you were pregnant, you said to me that you were pregnant, Amber!"

Amber cried harder and repeated, "I’m sorry, Mom."

Jason shook his head at them and scoffed "This is ridiculous."

Cecilia followed after her son who had left the hospital without saying anything.

David sighed and said, "Everything you have gotten from my family so far with your lies and deceit will be taken from you."

"Trust me on this David. I didn’t know she lied about her pregnancy." Henry pleaded. If David withdraws his support from his company, then that would be the end of him.

"I know and that’s the only reason you aren’t spending the night in jail. Let’s never meet again, Henry, and seeing the fact that we are no longer in the same class, that shouldn’t be too hard for you." David glanced one last time at Amber, who had not stopped crying and left the hospital.

"You idiot!" Henry exploded as soon as David left. He looked at Amber angrily and said "Stop crying. I said stop crying!"

Amber bit her lips to stop herself from crying, she could see people watching her and whispering to themselves. Today was supposed to be a happy day for her, and now it has been ruined, and she was sure that it was Eliana who sent those pictures.

Amber cleaned her tears and stood up, saying, "Dad, I....." She couldn’t even complete her statement when Henry ruthlessly slapped her.

"I AM NOT YOUR FATHER!" Henry emphasized each word firmly and added, "There is no way I could have given birth to a dumb and worthless thing like you. Even if you wanted to play tricks, couldn’t you have used your brain a little more, or has the time spent with your mother taught you nothing?"

"Henry, that’s enough. We are in the hospital and people are looking." Sloane said softly.

"Let them watch or have you still not realize that we have become a joke in this city because of you and your daughter. Do you think the Moore family still has dignity to hold on to? Your daughter has ruined everything, at this point, it will be a miracle if Nolan accepts you. If I had known this day would come, then I would have returned you to your real family. You are so useless that you couldn’t even get pregnant after sleeping with the man. What a waste of space!" Henry glances at her in disgust before walking out of the hospital as well.

"Mom, I....."

"Don’t say a word." Sloane raised her hand to stop her from speaking. "Even if you lied to others about the pregnancy, was there a need to lie to me, too?"

"I’m sorry. I thought I could make him sleep with me again after that night, but ever since he came back from Siol City, he has just been obsessing over Eliana. I’m sure something happened between them in Siol City."

"You thought? Did I ask you to think? Do you think that your brain is capable of thinking properly? If you had told me, then I would have handled it, things wouldn’t have gotten this far."

"I’m..."

"Do not say you are sorry. Your apologies will do nothing for us now. Because of you, we were mocked, insulted, and looked down on, so right now, your apologies are as useless as you are at the moment."

"Mom, you can’t say that to me." Amber cried terribly, "I’m sure Eliana did this, she must have worked with Mason to destroy me."

"Did Mason ever message you, begging you to not marry Jason?"

Amber shook her head. Mason had never messaged her; in fact, it had been weeks since she and Mason spoke, and she had never thought of contacting him because she didn’t have use for him.

"Then it wasn’t Mason. Men like that would stalk you and beg you not to get married before taking such actions because they believe it is the only way to end the wedding. If Mason had not contacted you not once to beg you to stop the wedding, then he wasn’t the one who sent those pictures, and if it was Eliana, then how did she get it?"

"I don’t know but I just know that it was her who did all these."

"If Eliana knows about your relationship with Mason then does she know the truth about her kidnapping?" Sloane asked with a slight fear in her eyes.

"Come to think of it, I still remember her saying at the business award night that I took her child; for her to say something like that, then it must mean she knows what we have done, and this must be her way of revenge. I hate her, Mom. If only that stupid Mason had just killed her before disappearing."

Sloane looked around them and sighed in relief when she saw that there were no women in the hallway, "Mind your words, do not forget that you are in a public place."

"Since Eliana knows the truth then what should we do? We should also get rid of her, right?"

"Are you stupid or something, or have you still not realized what is going on."

"What.....what do you mean?" Amber asked worriedly, wondering why there was fear in her mother’s eyes.

"Eliana wasn’t the only one who lost her child, Zachary also did. If Eliana knows, then Zachary also knows, and if the things I have heard about Zachary Sanders are true, then it means Mason didn’t just disappear."

"If he didn’t disappear then what do you think happened to him?"

"Mason could be dead."
