Help! Five Beast Alphas Want To Breed Me!!(BL)-Chapter 205: Fight Or Flight 3
Calisí;
My heart skips a beat, and everything in me pauses when I feel Avaren’s pain. Someone’s hurt him.
I turn away from Wilhelm and his sons, as my eyes start searching for Avaren.
That’s when I see him.
A young boy, with his arms wrapped around one of the Alphas. His skin is glowing with white tiger-like patterns, and his eyes are pure white.
I see energy come off him and wrap around the Alpha in his arm. Energy that isn’t visible to normal eyes.
Rhydian’s wound immediately heals, and my brows knot.
Staring at him through all this chaos, I do not see a boy. No. What I’m staring at... is light. His aura shines despite the darkness like a sun refusing to set. Staring closer, I see threads of that light. Of his light. It’s connected to the people around him...
Cassia, the beast who calls himself her son, the brothers, the guards, the people...all of them.
They are tied to him. Like he’s giving them life.
He is the thread holding them together.
He looks up at me as Rhydian regains his beast form, and as our eyes meet, shivers run up my spine.
This... is no normal boy. He’s a Premodial!! I thought they were all extinct.
Rhydian stands defensively in front of the boy, and the boy rises with his eyes still locked on mine.
I can feel it: happiness, loyalty, warmth... He’s a pool of these things for these people. A breeze of ease, they don’t seem to understand how much they need.
If I cut him from them... they would crumble. Without him... every single one of them would crack.
A smirk curls onto my face as the realisation dawns on me.
How lovely that the key to their ruin stands before me, trembling in silk and tears.
I step forward, and more fear bleeds into those red eyes of his. How can fear look so beautiful on someone? I know he’s not my enemy, but he is one of them. Beastmen. And he gives strength to the man I seek to destroy. That makes him a problem. He has to fall.
I grin at him, and I notice something shift in his eyes. The glow around him suddenly pulses again. Stronger. Brighter.
What... was that change?
I narrow my gaze, and my heart drops when I see it.
Two souls... trapped in the same... wait... three!?
Three souls?!
I narrow my eyes further, and my throat runs dry.
Something deep inside him is shimmering... low, soft, alive.
Not the usual flicker of power, no. It is smaller, gentler. Like a heartbeat.
....A light in his stomach.
My breath falters when facts fall into place.
It can’t be!
There’s life growing in his stomach!?
I clench my fist as I stare at him. At the two souls working together inside him, and this light growing in his womb.
Fury claws up my throat as tears sting my eyes, and Avaren instantly senses my shift. He appears beside me and grabs me.
"What’s wrong?" He questions in worry, but I do not take my eyes off the boy, who also hasn’t broken eye contact with me.
Rhydian glares at me like he’d pounce if I dare move, but I’d be damned if I’m bothered about him right now.
"What life denied me, he gets on a platter of gold?" I question, and Averen listens in silence.
I can never have a child again... because of these monsters. The first feeling of motherhood I had was tainted with dark insanity. It was my brother’s child, and I couldn’t decide if I loved it or not.
Before I could make up my mind, the child was stolen from me, and now, I can never have another.
I... I lost so much to these bastards, and now the source of their strength gets to have what I lost!?
No!!
It’s not fair.
It’s not fair!!!
I scream, and power erupts around me.
The ground cracked beneath my feet, and everyone turned to me. Without a pause, I hurl my wrath toward him, every ounce of my bitterness forged into bright, violet flames.
"You will not keep what was stolen from me!" I scream, and instantly, Elián is whipped out of the way. Zephan had grabbed him with his tail and yanked the boy out of the way.
But they’ll need more than that to protect the boy from me.
"The boy is mine," I say to Avaren, and he nods before vanishing from my side.
I twist my magic, as anger floods my veins. Violet tentacles appear behind me as I slip through their strikes like a breeze. The brothers rush at me, leaving their Father and Cassia to protect the boy.
Foolish move.
Rhydian swings his claws at me. I duck and stab him in the side with a blade made of mana. Zephan throws his tail at me, and before I block his hit, a slash of red rips the side of his tail, leaving a deep cut that I am certain reaches the bones.
I look up and find Avaren hovering in the air above me again. He’s the one who struck Zephan. He may be blind, but when it comes to me, no one sees better.
Koda’s beast comes at me. Massive, fast, furious. He growls, and I understand his beast.
I won’t let you touch him! His beast growls, and I scoff.
"Then die beside him!" I hiss before slamming my palms into the ground.
The earth splits open, and I watch in satisfaction as he falls in.
"Koda!!" The boy screams, and my eyes dart over to him, hidden behind the husband and wife.
With the brothers weakened, I surge forward, through the chaos, straight toward my prey.
His eyes widen as I get closer, and just then, King Wilhelm steps forward.
He screams, and a massive creature of blue energy forms behind him, towering over everyone.
Everyone pauses and stares at the massive dragon that materialises behind Wilhelm from his energy, and I raise a brow.
Primordial magic?
Wilhelm is a primordial too?? I always knew there was something off about him.
However, Premoidal or not, I will end him tonight!
I will first start with that boy, then him.
"Stay away from my family!" Wilhelm screams, and in his voice, I can hear his anger and pain in the fact that Koda might have died from that fall into the ground.
He’s already in pain? But I haven’t even started yet.
His familiar opens its mouth, and when I see the blue flames gathering in its throat, I decide, this is no time to be fancy.
I need to be swift about my elimination.
I vanish into thin air and reappear behind Wilhelm and his familiar. Right in front of the boy.
The Eliàn I have heard so much about.
I raise my hand, channeling every drop of my magic into one final strike.
The air trembled. The mist around us shrieks. My spell burns white and vicious, and just as I let go, I hear a voice.
"NO!"
Before my magic can collide with Elián, a blur of gold darts before him with her arms wide spread.
Queen Cassia.
My magic slams into her hard as she takes the blow meant for the boy. She gasps as she falls to the ground with a thud in front of him. She... Why did she do that!?
I freeze in confusion, wondering why this woman would take such a blow for this boy when she left hers to face me alone.
Just then, a shrill cry rips through the night, the chaos, everything...
"Mother!!" The boy screams as he drops to his knees beside her with his arms trembling as he pulls her beast onto his lap.
His hands tremble as he touches her face, and Cassia’s eyes flutter as she coughs up blood.
She looks up at the boy as her blonde fur begins to darken, as my magic begins to eat her up from inside.
I should feel triumph... but I don’t.
The sight before me... Of this boy... broken, shaking, crying out like a child... stirs something sharp and hollow in me.
Wilhelm’s familiar vanishes in shock as he turns around and sees what happened.
He crumbles to his knees, and I watch in silence as he pushes me away and rushes to Cassia.
"Cassia! Cassia!!" He screams in panic as his wounded, limping form drags her from Eliàn and cradles her.
She’s dying... She’s going to die. Why do I feel torn about that?
The boy looks up at me, and my heart leaps into my throat when I see that his eyes have gone completely white again.
He lets out a scream, and I fall to the ground as I feel my eardrums begin to bleed.
This isn’t a cry of sorrow... It’s power.
A surge of golden light erupts from his body, raw and primal, flinging everything back. My fog, my spells, my people, me... I slam into a pillar, and I hear my spine crack as I fall to the ground.
My vision flashes white, and when I can see again, there is blood on my arm and trickling down my hair into the collar of my dress.
He screams again, and a broken pillar comes flying straight at me. Before it hits me, Avaren appears before me, wraps his arms around me, and I feel him teleport with me, out of the way.
The pain I feel is burning, humiliating. Wilhelm’s magic is already flooding the air as well, trying to heal Cassia, while whispering to her in desperate tones.
Elián stands up and glares at me. My heart starts screaming when I see his hair grow longer, and the patterns under his skin shift from white to golden glow.
Golden energy starts coming off him in ways, and his hair changes completely to red as fangs protrude from his mouth.
He’s shaking. Not in fear... but in anger now...
"How dare you!?" He demands in a voice that shakes the entire space, and my stomach knots when I realise that he wants to retaliate.
This isn’t a fight I can win. Not like this. Not while wounded.
"Kashdan nih ah!!" Avaren screams, warning our people to retreat immediately.
Avaren would only call for retreat if he had sensed a dangerous energy. And for something to scare Avaren... It’s worth fearing.
"We need to leave!" He whispers to me, and I nod quickly in growing fear.
The boy screams again in pure rage, and the ground starts rushing towards me, splitting open. Avaren scoops me into his arms, and at the last minute, we manage to escape.
Vanishing from there, before death found us.
What kind of power is that!?? Why is the boy so strong!?
