Help! Five Beast Alphas Want To Breed Me!!(BL)-Chapter 157: Will You Help Me?
Rhydian:
I stare at the bracelet, and memories and emotions slam into my face like a brutal punch.
The pearl-like beads are cold against my skin, and my heart is racing as I stare at the small, colourful contraption of skillfully lined knots and beads.
"You made this?" I question, and Bram grins proudly as he nods at me.
"Mm-hm. I made one for you, and one for me." He replies as he holds up another bead for me to see, and seeing that bead, my suspicions are confirmed.
I force a smile as I wear the beaded bracelet around my wrist.
"That was so thoughtful of you," I say, as I stare at the bracelet, and his grin grows.
"Thank you, Bram," I add, while trying to control my expressions, and he nods.
"You’re welcome. I’ve got to go now. I have some chores to attend to." He replies, and I force yet another smile as I nod at him.
"Sure," I say as I step aside, and I watch him skip away happily.
I stare down at the bracelet around my wrist, and my throat runs dry.
Bram didn’t make this.
These beads, these knots, these colours...
I look back up in the direction he went as memories run over me like cool water.
When Igma and I were little, Mother forbade me from eating sweets, fried foods, or anything a little child would find pleasurable to eat. My diet was very strict, and I most times could only ever took a break from it when Igma snuck food from the kitchen for me.
When Mother found out about this, she made sure Igma always ate her meals with someone watching.
That was till Igma found a little shop down in the local market.
The woman sold the best buns. Igma and I loved her buns as kids.
The woman had a little girl who suffered from a mental disorder. The girl was always making these beads. Same colour, same style, same knots... same everything.
Her mother didn’t know what to do with all the beads, so she started giving them as gifts to anyone who bought a bun from her.
This bracelet... was made by her daughter. Bram wouldn’t have these bracelets if he didn’t get them from her. And she would only give them to him if he was at the local market.
"I was at the local market to check the gambling houses, and I kept feeling watched."
Bram was at the local market!!
He... he was watching Ishu??
He told this lie because he didn’t expect me to know about the beads a mentally disordered girl weaves together in a small shop somewhere deep in the local market.
There’s so much that happened in the past minute.
He lied to my face. That too, so convincingly!!
How many other things has he lied to me about??
Igma and Elian were right about him all along!?
Have I been... protecting a snake all this while??
****
Igma💙;
"I’m not comfortable with you doing this!" I state plainly as I throw another punch at the sand bag hanging from the tree.
"I’ve told you, Alpha Igma. I can handle it." She replies and the next punch I throw carries most of my agitation.
"You shouldn’t have to lie that you’re guilty to make my stupid cousin see facts!" I rage as I look at the young floplin who has her hair in a pony tail.
"But I’m not lying. I’m only..." She begins, but I don’t let her land.
"I don’t care! I don’t want you relating with Bram. Trap or not. That boy is evil. He may not fall for it. What if he traps you!? I’m not risking you for Rhydian’s stupidity!" I rage, and she falls silent.
I look up at her, and I find that she’s staring at something.
I follow her gaze, and anger floods my veins when I see Rhydian.
The blind idiot!
In anger I have no other way of expressing, I throw another punch at the sand bag. It bursts open, and Alana jerks as the sand in the bag spills to the ground.
Rhydian smiles at me, and my wolf growls through me in irritation. Why is he smiling!?
What is he so happy about!?
"That pissed at me, huh??" He says and I pant as I stare at him.
"What do you want?" I question in irritation, and he stops a few steps away from me.
His smile vanishes and his eyes lock on mine and seriousness bleeds into his gaze.
"Help me expose the truth about Bram." He says and my heart flips over.
I stare frozen at him, unsure I heard right.
Maybe all my anger is starting to mess with my head and now I’m hearing things I want to hear.
"Say again." I order as I step closer to hear him properly this time.
"Help me uncover the truth about Bram. What he’s after, why he’s doing the things he’s doing, why he’s trying so hard to latch onto me. What does he truly want?" He replies, and my jaw drops.
I look over at Alana who’s also staring at him with her mouth agape. She’s staring at him like he just sprouted a second head.
To be fair, that’s the only logical reaction to give right now.
I look back at Rhydian, and I scoff as I do not know what to say.
"Is this some kind of test? Are you playing with me?" I demand, and he lets out a breath as he steps closer to me.
"I made a mistake, Igma. You’re like a sister to me. You’ve always cared about and looked out for me since we were little. You told me to be careful, but like a fool, I didn’t listen. I wa stupid to trust a stranger over my own sister. Forgive me... please. I know I do not deserve it, but I need your help." He replies and I stare at him frozen for a bit.
A smile splits my face, but I can not stop myself from throwing a kick at him.
My foot slams into his side, and he staggers a few steps away from me at the impact.
"That’s for being a dickhead!" I taunt, and he chuckles as he holds on to his side.
"I think you just broke a few ribs... but I deserve that." He jokes and my smile grows.
"Will you help me?" He questions again and I rush up to him and throw my arms around.
"You blind fuck. Of course I’ll help you. You need to see that twerp for what he really is." I reply, and he chuckles softly before hugging me back. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"I’ve missed your hugs." He whispers and I scoff.
"And I’ve missed whooping your ads in training." I reply, and he laughs.
"We’ll get back to that when we take down the little shit?" I push, and he laughs again.
"Deal."
