Heavenly Dragon Doctor Son-in-Law-Chapter 113 - 114: The Arrival of Zhou Hongying!
Some of the downed guards had their shins broken, some had their facial bones shattered, and others had their chests caved in. They lay groaning on the ground, their cries of pain incessant. The entire process took just over sixty seconds. Dozens of guards were left writhing on the ground, wailing in agony.
Yet, Qin Long remained perfectly calm on his electric scooter, his clothes completely undamaged.
The female manager was utterly dumbfounded, and the onlookers stared with wide eyes. This disabled man was incredibly strong. Dozens of able-bodied guards were no match for a cripple on a scooter. It wasn’t just a defeat; he had completely steamrolled them. You couldn’t even write this stuff in a novel.
A buzz of shock went through the wealthy onlookers.
"This guy is no ordinary person!"
"I’d hire him to be my son’s master in a heartbeat."
"To learn martial arts like that, any price would be worth it!"
Qin Long’s ruthless display had instantly stunned the crowd.
"I’ll give you some time," Qin Long said, still seated as he pointed his cane at the woman with a cold scoff. "Go on, call more people. Otherwise, I’ll break your remaining nine fingers!"
"I... I!" The manager, thoroughly enraged, was like a furious wildcat, her face flushed with anger. "You damned cripple, today it’s either you or me! Just you wait! I’ll call down all the bodyguards and have them beat you to death, you bastard!"
The woman immediately dialed a number. The Longquan Hotel was a grand, eighteen-story building that housed lodging, leisure, entertainment, and vacation facilities. Naturally, its security force was incredibly powerful, featuring not just regular guards but also formidable bodyguards. They could definitely make Qin Long pay. She refused to believe he could fend off professionally trained fighters.
"I’ll flay you alive!" the woman snarled, roaring toward the building behind her.
"What is all this commotion?" a cold, official voice cut in.
Thinking it was just some busybody, the manager shot back, "Who’s the blind fool asking that?!"
"Stop right there," an extremely impatient female voice replied. "Are you really talking to me?"
Everyone looked toward the voice and saw a middle-aged woman with a somber expression, dressed in a business suit. When they got a clear look at her face, they were all stunned. Why does she look so familiar? The enraged manager’s face also went deathly pale, and she began to tremble uncontrollably.
"D-Director Zhou," the manager stammered, scrambling over with a fawning, bootlicking smile. "What brings you here?"
No matter how arrogantly she acted at the Longquan Hotel, she had to tuck her tail between her legs in front of this woman. Zhou Hongying was the director of Jiangzhong’s Binhai District—a true government official. In Jiangzhong, there were only a few officials with real authority, and she was one of them. She was a major figure whose power was second only to the Inspectorate. The manager’s cousin might be the influential owner of the Longquan Hotel, but even he had to be completely respectful to Zhou Hongying. A mere hotel manager like herself would never dare to offend such a VIP.
"Look, it’s Director Zhou!"
"Director Zhou, we hope you’ve been well!" a few of the wealthy young elites nearby called out with friendly smiles.
Zhou Hongying ignored them, however, and hurried onward, looking anxious.
Qin Long frowned slightly, recognizing her as Zhou Hongying, the director of his Binhai District. She had once planned to teach him a harsh lesson but was utterly shocked when Wu Mulan intervened. Afterward, she had sincerely apologized and even personally driven him home.
Seeing Zhou Hongying’s grave expression, the manager grew frightened but feigned composure. "Director Zhou, I was just about to report something to you! This cripple came to the Longquan Hotel to harass one of our ladies. When I reprimanded him, he flew into a rage and started hurting people. Director Zhou, you must teach him a lesson!"
The woman rushed to slander Qin Long, a sinister smile on her face. My cousin often dines with Director Zhou. Taking care of a mere cripple should be easy for her. Qin Long, you’re dead! How dare you hit me! she thought, laughing inwardly.
Zhou Hongying, however, was cursing to herself. Hurt your people? Qin Long killed Han Bing—someone with immense connections and backing—and still walked away freely. What’s teaching a pretentious bitch like you a lesson in comparison?
She knew the forces behind Qin Long were extraordinary. Otherwise, Wu Mulan would not have gotten involved personally. She absolutely could not afford to offend him; in fact, she had to do her best to stay on his good side.
"Mr. Qin is mobility-impaired. How could he possibly have injured your men?" she snapped, turning on the manager. "Are you deliberately trying to make a fool of me, Zhou Hongying?"
The woman gasped.
Mr. Qin? What Mr. Qin? This good-for-nothing actually knows Director Zhou? And she’s addressing him so respectfully... what the hell is going on? An ominous feeling crept into her heart. The wealthy young men in the crowd also stared at Qin Long in astonishment.
"Director Zhou, he really did injure our guards..." the woman said nervously, her expression bewildered. "Everyone here saw it with their own eyes..."
"Nonsense!" Zhou Hongying declared. "I know Mr. Qin’s character very well. He is low-key and humble. How dare you slander him!"
Upon hearing this, the manager’s expression changed dramatically. The onlookers were just as astonished.
"He must be a friend or relative of Director Zhou."
"I knew that kid was special from the start."
"And I wanted him to teach my son martial arts? What a ridiculous idea." A buzz of discussion rippled through the crowd. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Zhou Hongying scanned the crowd with a mocking expression. "Did any of you see Mr. Qin injure someone?"
"No! No! We didn’t see a thing!"
"Director Zhou, I swear on my honor, it absolutely did not happen!"
These wealthy youths were sharp. They weren’t about to offend Director Zhou for the sake of some insignificant woman, so they all spoke up for Qin Long.
"Now, what do you have to say?" Zhou Hongying asked, turning her cold gaze back to the manager.
"This... This!" The woman’s mind went blank. She shook her head frantically like a bobblehead. "They’re right! These guards were just practicing their sparring and were knocked down by their own partners..." she said, nodding emphatically as cold sweat beaded on her forehead.
So this is how it is. Even if Director Zhou ordered them to pay compensation, they would have to obey. Angering her would cost the Longquan Hotel far more.
"Alright. In that case," Zhou Hongying said grimly, "why did you call all the bodyguards down here?"
"Director Zhou..." the manager stammered. "I... I meant no harm... Oh, right! I specifically asked the bodyguards to put on a martial arts performance to welcome Mr. Qin! Mr. Qin, how did you find their performance?" she asked, rushing over to Qin Long with an obsequious expression.
"Get lost!" Qin Long roared.
He was completely dismissing her. The smile on the woman’s face froze, and she pursed her lips in awkward humiliation. Though she wanted nothing more than to kill him, she forced herself to swallow her fury.
Seeing this, Zhou Hongying knew instantly that Qin Long was not yet appeased.
