Yasenia walked around, her eyes looking at Ao Xianlan’s nest, and pondering deeply.

She would first go to one corner, nod a bit, flash to another, frown slightly, and land on the ground, tapping it with her tail and tilting her head.

Ao Xianlan, who had coiled once more around the tree in her Dragon form, couldn’t help but open her eyes helplessly. She looked at the restlessly flashing pregnant dragon and sighed. “Yasenia, love, what are you doing?”

“Ah?” Yasenia blinked and shook her head. “Nothing, just checking.”

“Checking what?”

“Um…” Even Yasenia was a bit unsure. “Just making sure everything feels right?”

After she finished speaking, she heard someone walk in at the entrance, and her gaze narrowed as she flashed over. “Who?”

Tai Qingzhe, who had gone out for a bit, was startled when Yasenia appeared in front of her. “Young Miss, you scared me.” Then, she smiled. “Here, what you asked for.”

Seeing that it was Tai Qingzhe, Yasenia’s narrowed eyes relaxed. “Oh? You got it? Thank you, Little Zhe.”

Tai Qingzhe shook her head and gave her a blue and gold colored soft mattress. Looking at it, Yasenia smiled. She then sniffed it, flipped it back and forth, and nodded. “Good, good. Just as I asked and with the materials I provided.”

Ao Xianlan and Tatyana looked over, their eyebrows twitching. This was probably the 60th or so mattress that Yasenia bought and then discarded.

Tatyana flashed, appearing by Yasenia’s side, and looked at her with both a pampering and somewhat helpless look. “Is this one good?”

“Yeah! Just as I asked!”

Everyone rolled their eyes. ‘Wasn’t that what you said for the last one, and the one before that?'

Ignoring everyone’s gazes, Yasenia swaggered into her room and directly burned away the previous mattress, placing the new one and lying on it. She subconsciously began releasing her scent on it, moving her tail and body back and forth, as if marking her territory.

The sweet, floral scent spread out, making the noses of everyone in the cave twitch. This time, even Qingzhe and the others, who were human, could smell the fragrance. It was that powerful.

Star Forge muttered. “Thankfully, Young Miss smells extremely nice.”

Mo Yun chuckled. “Right. It is like a fresh incense made to smell like flowers.”

After Yasenia was done, she sat on the mattress and surrounded her half-lying body with her tail. When Tatyana entered the room, Yasenia looked up with a smile. “Look, Mom! It’s perfect!”

Tatyana nodded, like she had done many times already. “Indeed, it is perfect. Can I move over?”

Yasenia smiled. “You…” She paused, looking around, and then flattened a part of the mattress with her hand. “Now you can!”

Tatyana walked over, hugging the dragon girl into her arms protectively. ‘This silly girl. Her hormones are basically going haywire.’

In Tatyana’s arms, Yasenia felt safe, and most of her previous restless feelings relaxed. She leaned in, her eyes half-closing as she began purring.

Tatyana gently caressed Yasenia’s long black hair, her heart melting. ‘So precious.’

Lady First carefully and intently entered the room, and when she saw Yasenia look over but not react, she sighed in relief. There was an accident previously when she entered quite suddenly, only for Yasenia to overreact and freak out. They took almost an entire day to calm her down at that time!

“Yasenia, how are you feeling?”

Curled in Tatyana’s embrace, Yasenia answered languidly. “Very comfortable.”

Looking down at Yasenia’s full belly, Lady First spoke to Tatyana through Spiritual Sense. ‘She should be giving birth in a year or less, right?’

Tatyana agreed. ‘It should be around that time, yes. Remember to tell Ao Xianlan about not allowing anyone in a 1,000-kilometer radius from her cave and, if possible, further away.’

Yasenia looked up and asked. “What are you two speaking about?”

Both women began sweating internally. ‘She detected our Spiritual Sense communication!? Heavens! How sensitive is this woman!?’

Tatyana smiled. “Just a few things about Laws. Don’t worry.”

Yasenia sniffed Tatyana’s neck and squinted, her body releasing a bit of a threatening aura. “Why are you lying to me?”

Tatyana surrendered! Yasenia was usually already sensitive. Now, it felt as if Yasenia would even notice if a single molecule was out of place in her room!

“Alright, we were speaking about some preparations.”

“Which ones?” Yasenia asked, her mind going through thousands of different defensive plans. “Is the killing formation I asked you to make already placed down?”

Tatyana coughed. “Yes, it is. If anyone dares to breach, even if it is those ancestors, they will be smitten to death.”

Yasenia blinked. “What if there is someone stronger?” Her face began showing a worried look. “No, what if someone who goes over the Heavenly Layer’s strength comes? I remember that Mother is not strong enough to fight those experts, right?”

Tatyana raised her hand and then lowered it.

Slap~.

Yasenia’s bouncy behind rippled, freezing the girl. Tatyana squinted at her. “Are you doubting me, Little Treasure?”

Yasenia instantly became meek, shrinking into her arms. “I am not.” Then, she rubbed her face against her neck. “Mommy is the strongest!”

Tatyana relaxed her threatening stance, smiling softly. “Good that you know. Don’t worry.”

Yasenia nodded, and she shifted slightly. After shifting, she frowned and shifted again. “Ugh.” She sat up slightly, her mind somewhat uncomfortable.

Tatyana and Lady First paused, looking at Yasenia in detail.

The dragoness looked around, and then, she raised her hand. A massive [Celestial Dragon Claw] tore through the air, slamming against the cave wall and creating a massive hole.

Once the hole was created, Yasenia whooshed inside. Once there, she opened her mouth, and Celestial Dragon Breath exploded out of her, melting the entire place and creating a flat area.

Everyone looked over with bewildered looks, not interrupting her.

Once Yasenia was done, she released her Moon energy, freezing the area and cooling everything down. What was left was a perfectly smooth surface. A second later, the dragoness waved her hand, summoning a layer of fertile land with some flowers and tall trees.

Tatyana looked at Yasenia’s anxious face, but she didn’t do or ask anything. Cutting her thought process now was not desirable. She even spoke to the rest through Spiritual Sense to not say a word or even move.

After Yasenia was done preparing this makeshift jungle, she dug another hole, creating another smaller cave. The entrance of the cave was surrounded by plants and other flora.

Once done, Yasenia summoned a ton of cushions, mattresses, and other things, filling the smaller cave and making herself comfy among all the covers. At that moment, Yasenia felt an incredibly painful sensation, and she roared.

“ROAR!”

Her booming dragon roar as she curled in her makeshift cave made everyone’s hearts tighten. “This… Little Treasure, are you going into labor?”

Tatyana wanted to approach, but once she entered Yasenia’s makeshift jungle, Yasenia’s eyes turned ferocious, and she opened her mouth.

ROAR!

BOOM!

A Celestial Dragon Breath tore through, barely missing Tatyana’s body. Ao Xianlan, behind Tatyana, quickly controlled the Celestial Dragon Breath, fizzling it away.

A second later, Yasenia summoned more earth and trees, fixing the location she had disintegrated with her Dragon Breath.

Meanwhile, Tatyana continued advancing slowly. “Don’t worry, baby. It's me, Mom.”

Her tone was endlessly gentle and soft, making Yasenia’s overwrought nerves and mind recognize her. She finally spoke up. “M-Mom, my strength… it’s slipping away…”

The sensation was truly scary. The feeling of her very prized strength disappearing as her body returned to being a mortal was extremely anxiety-inducing. Coupled with Yasenia’s already messy hormones, she forced herself to create a nest within her already safe nest for “protection.”

Everyone understood that Yasenia was entering into labor, so they moved with practiced ease. Ao Xianlan pushed everyone who was within a 10,000-kilometer radius around her cave out. Tatyana activated the killing formation. Lady First scanned the surroundings for any traces of auras from non-welcomed people.

Finally, the maids went to prepare everything related.

Soluna, in Yasenia’s dantian, manifested outside the cave. Tatyana looked at her and spoke. “Release passive Celestial Energy. That should help Yasenia feel more at ease.”

Soluna nodded, her aura very gently spreading out.

The anxious Yasenia felt the familiar Celestial Energy around her, and she did indeed somewhat calm down.

Then, Tatyana finally walked the distance and stopped right outside of the makeshift inner cave. “Little Treasure, I am entering, alright? You trust Mom, right?”

Yasenia, inside, felt extremely uncomfortable thinking someone would enter her personal space. Even then, as she struggled in her mind, she knew that there was absolutely no way of Tatyana hurting her. So, as her body began having inner contractions, she spoke up. “E-Enter… Ugh.”

Tatyana didn’t rush. She first pushed aside the vines covering the entrance and then walked inside. Once inside, she walked at mortal speed toward Yasenia. The place was full of cushions and mattresses, with Yasenia lying on a blue and golden colored one at the very center.

She was curled up, her tail moving around restlessly. Her golden-colored eyes were fixed on Tatyana, carrying three parts vigilance and seven parts trust.

Those eyes made Tatyana feel extremely accepted. One should know that, during birth, a dragon usually never allows anyone nearby. The fact that Yasenia was allowing her to be present and even approach spoke volumes of the depth of their bond.

Once by her side, Tatyana sat by Yasenia’s side as she felt the girl’s strength dissipate. ‘At this rate, her strength will be gone in two days. At that time, her placenta should break, and she will begin laying her egg.

Naturally, while Yasenia had not looked inside her womb, Tatyana secretly scanned it. One thing was allowing Yasenia to have her surprise; another was not doing some preparation work.

‘The egg is quite large. Even with Yasenia’s mortal elasticity, she will suffer a lot and lose a lot of blood. I’ve prepared some blood injections and also some reinforcing food.’

Tatyana didn’t know how long an Empyrean Cosmos Dragon would take to give birth, as it was the first time this species had ever given birth. So, she had prepared many means for a prolonged battle.

Tatyana, now having crossed the distance in its entirety and sitting by Yasenia’s side, quickly grabbed her hand and smiled. “I am here. Don’t worry. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

Yasenia nodded, slowly crawling on top of Tatyana and curling in her arms.
