Chapter 621: Chapter 621. Nomads

Outside Astral and Arman Empire territory.

Several light years away.

Somewhere in the Starry Sea.

Kailen and Legoland were currently in a spaceship.

He had already left the Arman Empire with Legoland.

Currently, he had chestnut hair and hazel eyes. He was still handsome, just that he looked different from his actual appearance.

Legoland currently had white hair and pitch black eyes.

Instead of the long ears of an elf, he had the ears of a human.

Each one of them had changed their looks completely with Kailen’s appearance morphing elixirs.

They had already forged false identities on the dark web.

Their backgrounds were registered as nomad awakeners travelling the universe for experience.

This meant that they did not belong to a particular empire or organization, and were alone.

There were a lot of awakeners like this in the universe. These nomads had no ties to any power. They went wherever there were opportunities, free and unfettered as the wind.

With these identities, no one would bother harboring any further suspicions about their background when they did a search on them for some reason and found out they were nomads.

At this moment, Legoland squinted his eyes as their spaceship passed an asteroid. Several destroyed spaceships were up ahead.

Legoland was naturally a very perceptive person.

He had a feeling something was wrong.

"Something is not right."

Legoland said.

Kailen nodded. "Figured as much. Hold up."

Kailen activated a mobile teleportation gate. Both he and Legoland entered the teleportation gate and disappeared from the spaceship.

They reappeared several light years away on a star.

An extremely large typhoon made of wind shredded their spaceship apart at that same moment they disappeared from their spaceship.

The typhoon was made of wind. The person had used the law of wind .

The duo squinted their eyes as Kailen didn’t hesitate to make a teleportation circle before their enemy located them.

The duo reappeared about ten light years away from the star.

The enemy was no longer in sight.

Currently, they were at the edge of another empire.

Their escape from whoever had been hunting them had brought them here.

Kailen and Legoland, however, didn’t enter this empire.

They found a dead planet a few light years away in the vicinity to sit on and analyze their situation before they took any step. The dead planet was full of only black rocks and deserts.

Kailen was, however, observing the enemy through the eyes of a shadow hound.

"How many more do I have to kill?" The bounty hunter sighed. If not for the money involved, and the fact that his daughter’s birthday was coming up, he would never have accepted this crazy offer. Those Crimson Veiled Sect fuckers were really crazy. Even a bloodthirsty person like him felt like this was too much.

Kailen monitored his facial expressions, figuring out his train of thought with emotional resonance.

"The person who targeted us is a rank 5 intermediate stage universe level assassin, hired by the Crimson Veiled Sect to kill anyone his strength can handle anywhere in the Starry Sea."

Kailen said.

Legoland replied, "These fuckers are so desperate to kill us. If they can’t identify our identity or track us, they would rather kill random people travelling the Starry Sea in the hopes that we could be any of the random persons they kill?"

"It seems that’s the case," Kailen said. "Fortunately, we managed to escape. However, we need to be careful. We need a better spaceship, one that can completely help us evade the presence of intermediate stage universe level powerhouses. Else, things won’t look good for us."

Legoland nodded. "I agree. Apart from bastards like that, other organisations after you could have also made such ridiculous requests in the black market. As long as indiscriminate killing of random travelers in the Starry Sea, hoping that we could be any of those the bounty hunters kill, cannot be traced back to them, I don’t think they will care about going that far to get rid of us, especially you."

Kailen agreed. He made a mental note. It seemed he had to go through the list of all the organizations that sent him offers indicating that elimination was the only outcome if he rejected the offers.

Also, the Crimson Veil Sect and the AshenBorne Sect. He would repay them in kind in the near future.

"I suggest we visit the empire we came across to find out if there’s a way to get a spaceship that can at least help us conceal ourselves from intermediate stage universe level lifeforms," Legoland said.

Kailen replied, "We don’t have any other choice."

At this moment, Kailen and Legoland used a teleportation rune. They entered and disappeared from the dead planet.

They appeared at the edge of the empire in the vicinity. Currently, there were several spaceships heading towards the empire.

"According to the search I just made, the ruling Empire of the region is called the Kanthu Empire. The ruling power is a dwarven power that has ruled this empire for more than a thousand years. This star system is one of the trade districts in this empire. It’s more like a trade star system. Auction houses, Chambers of Commerce, Guilds. There’s even a Secondary Carrier branch here," Legoland said.

Kailen nodded.

Kailen made a mental note concerning which ability he would reveal and use with this identity, whether in the RiverBlood Empire or anywhere in the Starry Sea, this Kanthu Empire included.

He would only reveal his abilities as a runesmith. Even with that, he would tone the rune skill proficiency down to avoid suspicion. Also, he would make use of the shadow hounds, since they were the most ideal for tactical operations, considering their ability to conceal themselves from every powerhouse, regardless of their rank.

Unless absolutely necessary, he won’t use alchemy, the other shadow creatures, or the law of space, as doing so would expose him, and the factions pursuing him would be able to identify and target him.

These thoughts flashed in his mind for a moment.

After deciding, Kailen and Legoland moved towards the empire before them.

It was time to find a spaceship that could literally save their lives.
