The forest regions teemed with extreme catastrophe. Forest lines disappeared, and several craters ranging several kilometers appeared as a result of the attacks between the vampires and the shadow creatures.

Affinities ranging from blood spears, arrows, tendrils, amongst other affinities such as lightning, flames, and others, were launched by the vampires towards the shadow creatures.

With Feral in the lead, the shadow creatures were not idle either.

Arrows made of obsidian flames blotted out the sky, and were launched by Feral towards the vampire army.

The arrows clashed into some enemy lines, obliterating those at rank 5 beginner stage galactic level and below.

Avarice stood tall, large flute with eerie engravings pulsing with malice.

The creature's tunes spiraled outwards.

Wherever it passed, several vampires gave each other crazed looks, and started attacking one another.

Vengeful, Everfrost, and the other shadow creatures were not idle either.

Lightning attacks and ice attacks, amongst others, tore through enemy lines, wreaking havoc.

Kailen observed, satisfied.

The vampires kept killing some of the shadow creatures, but they came back to life.

Phantom shot large balls of acrid miasma from his staff towards enemy lines after reappearing after dying. The vampires screamed and turned into shriveled corpses. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Menace was extremely ginormous, a tank.

With otherworldly physical prowess, the creature cleaved his way through enemies and attacks, leading several shadow creatures towards the enemies.

The shadow creature's extremely large figure blotted the sky.

His colossal hands fell down on several vampires at rank 5 beginner stage galactic level and below, wiping them from existence.

Several other shadow creatures launched lethal attacks towards the vampires, and the vampires launched back.

"Where the fuck is this bastard?"

The vampire commander was starting to feel like something was wrong.

According to the Intel he had just received from those who had gone searching for the Red Commander, they had scoured every region in the forest regions and he was nowhere to be found.

Was he in the city?

No.

He was definitely not in the city.

He was hiding somewhere in the forest regions.

He wanted them to think he was in the city so that they would focus their attention there, and then he would be able to cause massive devastation to the resources in the forest regions, which will be detrimental for the vampires, the vampire commander thought.

He smiled, confidently, no longer perturbed.

This bastard wanted to play them.

They would find him here and get rid of him, secure the resources of the forest regions, and then take over the city.

Kailen observed calmly through the eyes of the shadow hounds, closely observing the captain.

The guy's subtle facial expressions were emotional hints that revealed all his thoughts to Kailen.

"Keep searching for him. He is hiding somewhere," the vampire commander spoke with confidence.

Kailen smiled from the cave he had dug in the moon of the planet.

Suddenly—

All the vampires below the intermediate stage galactic level could not see any of the shadow creatures.

Suddenly, the eyes of the commander and his lieutenants widened.

They could see the shadow creatures, unlike those at the beginner stage galactic level.

About 2000 more obsidian creatures appeared in addition to the 2000 they had been fighting, who kept dying and resurrecting?

This guy had been hiding his power?

He had 2000 more of these creatures?

Then, as the commander and his lieutenants observed their troupes, they realised their troops were looking for the obsidian creatures.

Words like, where did they go? Did they retreat?, amongst others, rippled among the troupes.

The commander turned to his lieutenants.

They looked at him with a knowing expression.

Then it hit them simultaneously.

"They are using illusions to mask their presence from the soldiers, so that they can deal more damage with an unseen advantage," he spoke.

The moment the vampire commander spoke, his figure disappeared, alongside that of the lieutenants, as they could see the shadow creatures.

The vampire commander turned into an extremely large ginormous figure that blotted out the sky.

His fangs glistened with otherworldly cruelty, and a sharp malevolent aura brewed around him.

Several palm prints made of blood appeared around him and shot towards the shadow creatures.

Cataclysmic vampiric attacks from the commander and his lieutenants wiped out entire shadow creatures masking their presence with illusions from the battlefield before they could attack the vampire army, from an assassin standpoint.

However, the shadow creatures reappeared.

Then, the shadow creatures, ignoring the vampire commander and his lieutenants, focused on the beginner stage galactic level vampires who couldn't see them at the moment.

The shadow creatures blended rank 1 rune attacks and the execution of rank 1 poisons in their slaughter.

Their invisible forms made it swift, easier, and faster to end their enemies.

Screams of enemies falling as a result of rank 1 rune attacks and strange poisons from unseen enemies reverberated everywhere.

None of the shadow creatures would have been able to take on rank 6 and rank 7 beginner stage galactic level lifeforms.

But, because of their expertise in rank 1 runesmithery, thanks to the deep understanding and synergy they shared with their master, they had understood the concepts he had communicated to them after he broke through to the level of a rank 1 runesmith quickly.

With the ability to tap into his spiritual power, they were rank 1 runesmiths who could kill opponents at any level of the beginner stage galactic level with ease.

Alongside the use of rank 1 Black Flask poisons, they fell the vampires like rain.

Wherever they passed, vampires fell.

The kill counts of the vampires kept increasing, and increasing.

The vampire commander and his lieutenant would kill the obsidian creatures.

But, the obsidian minions of the Red Commander were immortal, able to return back to life, as long as the Red Commander, whom they were yet to find, was alive.

The vampire commander was confused, perplexed… and he felt trapped…

"Find the fucking bastard!.. damn it damn it… damnit. Where the fuck are you hiding!

Are you a coward who can only hide from your enemies!"

Kailen chuckled lightly from the cave on the moon where he was hiding in his invisible state.

"He wants to taunt me, wound my pride, so that I make an appearance? Old trick in the book."

Back on the battlefield, the commander realized his attempt to pull the Red Commander out in the open did not work.

Suddenly, panic started to creep deep into his heart.

He stared around him.

The Red Commander's cohorts had slaughtered every one of his vampire army, leaving only himself and his lieutenants alive.

The whole place was silent.

Only the heavy breaths of the vampire commander and his lieutenants were heard.

The grounds were littered with the corpses and fresh blood of their troupes.

They floated on the battlefield, completely scared after witnessing the tactical cruelty of the Red Commander.

He had dominated the battlefield without even making an appearance, and he had remained hidden completely, and they could not even find him.

Wherever he was hiding still remained a mystery to them.

It was now that they came to a terrifying realization.

They had been outsmarted.

From the beginning of this battle, the Red Commander had everything under control and he had executed everything in layered and tactical cruelty.

Only Feral remained as the shadow creatures returned to the shadow expanse.

The shadow creature floated calmly towards them.

They knew as long as the Red Commander could not be found and killed, she would just reappear even if they killed her.

They could not do anything to her.

Kailen observed everything calmly from the cave on the moon.

It was now time to deal with these bastards.

He had given Feral the order.

She knew what to say.

Feral stared at them coldly.

"A bunch of weaklings the master can kill at any time with just a flick of his finger, think you can show up around here and do what you want? If you do not want to die miserably by his hands, self detonate yourselves. This is the best act of mercy you can get from him."

Their eyes widened as a terrifying thought occurred to them, and a misunderstanding of Kailen's strength, which he had intentionally used the just spoken words of Feral to plant in their minds, bloomed.

So the Red Commander had been simply playing with them?

They thought.

It was not that he knew his weakness was his presence in this battle, that's why he was hiding.

They mused inwardly.

It was because he didn't take them seriously.

He was so strong that he didn't see them as a threat, so he decided to playfully use tactical, surgical cruelty to outsmart them, sit somewhere and watch in enjoyment, and let his summoned creatures destroy their army without him having to even lift a hand.

Then, how strong was he?

Destroy them with a flick of his finger?

The thought sent chills up their spines.

Someone like him was extremely cruel and would make their lives very miserable before he killed them.

Kailen was glad with the outcome of things as he used Emotional Resonance to read their thoughts from the emotions on their faces, as he observed them through the eyes of Feral.

These bastards had been manipulated completely.

Now that the false perception of his strength— that he was an extremely powerful powerhouse who could end them with a flick of his finger, and put them through excruciating pain before he killed them if they didn't kill themselves— had been planted into their heads with the words of Feral, their own fear would do the killing.

And just as he spoke, the vampire commander and his lieutenants made their decisions.

Just the fear accompanying the thought of being put through excruciating torment by a ruthless and psychopathic powerhouse like the Red Commander was too much for them to bear.

They self detonated themselves.
