He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 462.Borrowed time
"Good thing we are all at the same base. Means he will be here soon."
Jackson contacted Kailen. Kailen was about to head into the pocket world when the message came in.
[Hey, need you here asap. Come to HQ base 322 north sector, building 222]
The moment he saw the message, he squinted his eyes lightly.
"First time uncle Bloodfallen called me to his apartment complex. What could be going on?"
Kailen had a bad feeling about this.
Jackson BloodFallen’s message seemed extremely urgent.
Quickly, Kailen decided to head there.
"Come in."
The moment Kailen entered the room, Jackson and company had very serious expressions on their faces.
Kailen realized this was not the mood for exchanging pleasantries.
"Can you perform a quick scan on their bodies?" Jackson pointed to Cyco and Nuel.
Kailen didn’t hesitate. He knew that Jackson would tell him the reason, but it was probably more important now to do what his uncle was requesting for.
Quickly, he activated his elemental mirroring and observed their universe energy pathways.
As Kailen was observing their universe energy pathways, he suddenly squinted his eyes.
"What’s wrong?" Bianca asked. She was worried.
Cyco and Nuel were equally curious and frightened at Kailen’s sudden silence.
Was Jackson’s speculation really true?
"There’s poison in their system. It’s eroding their life force slowly. Also, there’s a CCTV micro camera embedded in their beings."

The Black Flask Vimodial contractor was seated in front of a holographic screen with an amused expression on her face.
She had been observing everything. From when Cyco and Nuel got to Jackson Bloodfallen’s apartment, when the conversation started, to when Kailen was called to come and inspect their bodies.
"Oh, prince Bloodfallen is quite sharp. I gotta say the same for our wonderful Black Flask. At least, I got some useful information, even if it’s very small. Since the cat is now out of the bag, might as well let the poison finish its work."
A glint of ruthlessness flashed through her eyes. This expression was the extreme opposite of the smile she had on her face.
*****
"What?"
"What the hell is going on?"
"Is there something that can be done—"
Kailen remained calm.
"Now is not the time to panic, uncles and au—"
Suddenly, Kailen’s voice was cut off by the screams of Cyco and Nuel.
The two revealed expressions of pain on their faces, and their faces started turning black. Black vines that looked like spiderwebs started to appear on their faces.
"Shit, the poison is acting up. I need to save them in the next sixty seconds or they are dead," Kailen spoke, worry and panic flickering through his calm eyes.
"Can I help?" Jackson said, worry in his voice.
He was not a Black Flask, but he was still an alchemist.
His two friends were dying here. He couldn’t just watch them die.
Kailen scanned through his brain , and went through the large amount of information he had as a rank 1 Black Flask.
He came across several ingredients that could help him deal with the poison. But considering the fact that time was not on their side, by the time they would get their hands on the ingredients, Cyco and Nuel would be dead.
That was until his eyes widened.
What if...
"I need sand, earth root grass, and the carapace of a sedew worm."
Jackson sighed in relief.
"These are common ingredients for every alchemist. I have them in my lab."
Jackson’s figure flashed to the lab in his apartment.
Soon, he returned with the ingredients and handed them to Kailen.
Bianca observed from the side, worried, as she stared at Cyco and Nuel screaming and turning more blackish on the ground.
She was not an alchemist, and she could not do anything to help. Even Jackson, who was an alchemist, could only help with gathering ingredients, because he was not a Black Flask and could not deal with poisons.
What could she do?
She could only pray that Kailen would succeed.
Kailen quickly activated the infinity alchemy flame and got to work.
He mixed the ingredients at the right time, merged them at the right temperatures, and adjusted their molecules with precision using his spiritual power.
It was left with only ten seconds, and Cyco and Nuel would be dead.
He didn’t even pour them into their mouths.
He made syringes from shadows.
He poured the contents of the alchemical products into the syringes, and his figure moved like a phantom.
He injected their external jugular veins with the elixirs.
Calmly, he observed them, praying they would be fine.
"Will it work?" Bianca asked, nervous.
"It will work. They should be starting to feel the effects wear off now," Kailen said. "It’s a temporary solution. I’ve only managed to deactivate the poison for a few hours. I’ve bought enough time for us to get the actual ingredients that can help us get rid of the poison."
Jackson stared at his friends on the ground, currently having the effects of the poison wearing off.
Their color returned to normal, and their pain ceased.
The ingredients Kailen had just used were common ingredients for every alchemist, but they were never combined together because they simply weren’t compatible for making anything.
He didn’t dwell on it though, as Black Flask alchemists had their methods.
But he had to admit, Kailen was something else.
He was, however, happy that they had managed to buy enough time for Cyco and Nuel to get the actual ingredients to make a permanent antidote.
Cyco and Nuel coughed for a couple of moments and stood up. Bianca helped them sit on the couch.
Cyco and Nuel had extremely terrified expressions on their faces as they recalled the Black Flask Vimodial contractor.
Chills crept up their spines just thinking of her.
Kailen stared at Cyco and Nuel, but it was as if he was not staring at them.
He was staring at someone else.
The expression in his eyes was clear.
Whoever did this to them, for whatever reason, he would make them pay.

The female Black Flask Vimodial contractor stared at the screen.
"Interesting. Seems like things won’t be too boring around here for a while. I look forward to meeting you, Darkhaven."
The holographic screen’s display of the events ceased.
"Sharp. He managed to find someone to deactivate the camera? Interesting. Well, time to make some plans."
After she spoke, someone entered the room.
She sent a picture of Jackson to the person.
This was what she needed. His picture, and she had it now.
The person compared it to the image of two other people, a man and a woman.
Some technical scans were mysteriously run, and a ✓ sign appeared.
"It’s a match," the person spoke.
"So, he’s really the last living member of the Bloodfallen Clan? His parents managed to find a way for him to escape before they died? His being alive is a threat. I will get rid of him and Kailen Darkhaven at the same time. You may leave. I need to think."
"Yes, madam."
The figure flickered and disappeared.
