He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact-Chapter 452. Arrival
Kailen’s spaceship loomed across the expanse, travelling towards chaotic zone x77.
Before coming here, he had told his loved ones his messages that he was headed for his third mission and he’d be away for a while, so as to not make them worry.
Kailen passed through several teleportation gates that led through different regions.
At this moment, he was travelling in the vast expanse of space. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
It had been two weeks since he started traveling through the vast expanse of space.
He was still yet to reach x77.
" The time to go to the pocket world has arrived. But this time, I will have to hold on and finish what I have to do at x77. If I leave right now to the pocket world, even if it would be for a few hours, a lot may happen in my absence, and I could lose my spaceship, and that wouldn’t be good."
" Excellent decision. I thought you would be stupid enough to rush into the pocket world. But it seems you have some sense. Arrive at chaotic zone x77 and finish what you have to do first."
Kailen nodded to the words of the time dilation artifact, ignoring her sarcastic way of giving compliments.
Suddenly, he felt a very weird reading on the map of the surroundings in the spaceship.
The scanners of the spaceship revealed a base ahead. But from the scan, there were no signs of life in the base.
Kailen quickly sent a shadow hound to the base.
Through the eyes of the shadow hound, he saw it—unfinished meals, tap water left running, doors opened normally, no bodies, no blood, no signs of struggle, data terminals still looping the same message, something that read Rotation change pending.
Kailen frowned slightly, overseeing everything through the eyes of the shadow hound as he was in the spaceship.
Then, he said, "Too clean."
After this, the shadow hound was summoned into the shadow expanse.
And his spaceship bolted off.
" So this is chaotic zone x77," he mused to himself.
Kailen knew he had arrived.
As his spaceship moved through the expanse, he sent his shadow hounds across various distances.
The place was extremely chaotic.
Kailen observed through the eyes of the shadow hounds, several skirmishes were occurring here and there.
Pirate groups at each other’s throats. Military defectors killing for the fun of it, vimodial contractors draining the life force out of their prey.
Physical black market dealings, slaves being sold and bought, organs of dead sentient creatures being sold for transplants, sexual assaults, shady personnel in masks performing business transactions, and individuals operating with codenames, wary expressions on the faces of people all the time, as if they were prepared for anything at any moment, and news on individuals who had just overthrown their superiors in their organizations because they wanted to take over their place.
Through the eyes of the shadow hounds, he saw crushed fleets, unstable and scorched terrains and structures, wild beasts, and rogue AI structures.
There were hidden assassins watching and stalking their prey. Small groups formed, then within a day, a month, or two, were wiped out.
"Unstable, chaotic, only the shrewd and violent survive, heroes of justice die here," Kailen noted.
The shadow hounds returned to the shadow expanse on Kailen’s order, after days of observation.
They could not observe everywhere in chaotic zone x77, but from what they had observed, Kailen had gotten a read on the place. It fit perfectly with what Seth had described; as a matter of fact, it was actually worse.
Meanwhile...
In a spaceship not too far from Kailen, several individuals were seen chilling and partying with some electric pop music in their spaceship.
They were five individuals—three females and two males.
One of the males was a giant with a menacing and intimidating build. He had a scar running down his cheek, and a long broad sword strapped around his shoulder.
The other male was a fellow from the spectral race. He had a menacing expression in his eyes, and everything about him screamed shrewdness.
The two females—one was a witch with red lips and black eyes wearing a casual outfit, and the other was a human with a buzz cut in some Gothic-looking uniform.
"Senior brother, FaceScar, don’t you think we should report back today?" One of the females, the witch, rubbed her hand across the face of the giant intimately as she spoke. "It’s been a week since we started looking for a suitable prey to send back and fill our quota of the slaves supposed to be sold on the Black market. But we’ve found no one. It’s just a waste of time."
FaceScar pushed her hands away dismissively, annoyed and completely frustrated at the same time.
"Don’t you think I know that, Slimboose? But if we return without someone, do you think the DavyJones pirate agency will let us live?" FaceScar spat in frustration. "We will be fucking killed on the spot!"
The male counterpart, the spectral race fellow, added, "It’s not like we can run away too. We literally have rune oaths signed. The moment we try to flee, it will activate and kill us. We can only search and find someone, then head back to avoid getting killed."
Suddenly, the other female with the Gothic-looking clothing and buzz cut, seemingly introverted, just pointed towards the scanner of their spaceship, where there was a signal of a single life and a spaceship nearby.
"Is that..."
"Yep," she said. "We’ve lucked out, guys."
Scarface, the leader of the group, grinned madly. "Let’s get this over with and head back."
"I am really killing for a shower."
"I need to unwind."
Kailen also noticed a signal—five signs of life.
Kailen blinked, and the spaceship was right before his own.
These guys were really eager for trouble, huh.
Five rank 1 beginner stage galactic level lifeforms.
The giant fucker with the axe was the strongest one. Kailen observed with elemental mirroring.
His universe energy reserves were denser.
They thought he was weak, a rank 5 supreme stage ascendant level lifeform.
"Finally, some trouble," Kailen smirked. Through emotional resonance, he knew their intentions from the expressions on their faces.
Even if he were not to know their intentions, from what he had observed—was chaotic zone x77 a place where one could make friends? And people would approach you to make friends?
Kailen simply disappeared from his spaceship. He didn’t wait for them to talk, initiate some trash talk, or tell him to cower.
Then...
