Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 123: United
Audrey woke up very early after managing to sleep a short while ago. She quietly rolled off the bed so she would not wake Lisa up. The girl needed all the sleep she could get.
"Time to pay my sister a visit," She said to herself as she walked out of the room.
The packhouse was quiet at that time of the morning as not many people had woken.
She quietly walked past the living room and stood in front of the Packhouse. The guards were at the gate, taking turns in guarding the entrance.
She removed her eyes from them and turned to look at the other parts of the environment.
It was quite large, and she believed that the evil things were hidden behind the park. They always were.
She closed her eyes and tried to feel the energy of two people: her sister, and her mother.
The first energy she felt was very weak, it was her mother’s, and her wolf recognized it it immediately. But the second one, she almost laughed out loud into the quiet morning. Her sister had used the cloaking spell to cloak her trails, scent and, presence.
Normally, with the spell, she should not have been able to detect where her sister was. But, she was far more experienced than Elena, more powerful too.
She easily penetrated the spell and accurately detected where Elena was cowardly hiding herself.
Audrey took a deep breath to take in the fresh morning air into her lungs but, she immediately regretted it, the stench of corpse and fresh rotten flesh plunged right into her nostrils, making her exhale the air she had already breathed.
This too, was not supposed to be scented by anyone, het sister had also placed a cloaking spell on the evil stench, trying to keep it at bay from getting into the pack house, but again, she still scented it.
Seems like her sister needed to take a lesson or two from her.
She scoffed and turned to walk behind the pack house, following her sister’s scent.
She walked around, noticing how the scent of corpse and rotten flesh intensified as she reached the back of the pack house.
’I don’t like this place,’ Avery said, moving aprehensively inside her head.
’Me neither,’ Selena replied.
’Do you think it’s wise for you to have come alone?’ Avery asked again her skepticism increasing.
Selena scoffed, ’Come on, are you forgetting what we’re capable of? The place looks deadly, but it’s nothing we can’t handle. Or...are you doubting us?’ Selena asked.
’What?! No! I never said so, I was just expressing my concerns. I mean, it would have been better if she had someone by her side, maybe, Lake,’ Avery said the last part wistfully.
Selena scoffed louder this time. ’Now I know. You should have just said you were missing our handsome mate, instead of beating around the bush,’ Selena teased.
Audrey shook her head at the two voices conversing inside her head.
"Keep it down guys, I’d like to focus," She said to them.
She looked around and discovered that she was now standing in front of a cage-like prison, and the weak energy she felt earlier was now a little bit stronger, still weak, but more closer to her now.
She immediately knew that this was the place her mother was being kept, she moved closer to it, reached in front of the gate but suddenly stopped.
She didn’t want to enter at that moment. Meeting her mother would be the last thing she would do before she left. Because, if she went in and saw her mother’s unsightly condition, she would end up behaving irrationally and spoiling the plan she and Alpha Lake already had in motion.
"I’ll be back, mother," she whispered against the gate before she turned and walked away.
She focused on her sister’s energy but got a little confused when she felt other dark energies coming from somewhere else.
She immediately turned to look at her left side where the energies were coming from.
She wondered if Elena had a place where she had locked up her forcefully turned members, but when she looked, she realrealized why she felt the numerous dark energies.
She was looking up an at a dark altar; the sculpture of a dark raven was staring blankly at her. She instantly knew that this was where her sister used to convert witches.
She turned away from it, ignoring the cries of the locked souls who were trying to reach out to her to save them.
She moved closer to the door she found behind the house, twisting the handle to open it, but she found it locked.
She chuckled. Why was Elena really trying almost her best to hide away from her. Was her magic not enough that she also decided to lock the door manually?
Audrey closed her eyes and intensely focused on Elena’s energy, and in the blink of an eye, she teleported herself right into her sister’s lair.
"Hello, sister," She said as she appeared behind Elena who was busy mixing something inside a small tube.
Elena startled but immediately regained her composure, not wanting to seem weak to the enemy.
"You’re trespassing, Catherine," She said in cool and collected voice and slowly turned to face Audrey.
"Oh, I’m getting emotional, you still remember my name?" Audrey asked, cassually walking around the lair and observing everything.
"I’ve always known your name, I never forget the name of an enemy," Elena said bitterly.
Audrey chuckled, "We remember only the things that are important to us, are you saying I’m that significant to your dark life?" Audrey questioned, stopping right in front of Elena.
"You’re not significant, but just something I need to eliminate," Elena said, staring into Audrey’s eyes.
"Tsk, tsk," Audrey shook her head disdainfully at at her sister.
"I’m right in front of you, what are you waiting for?" She asked.
Elena remained quiet, glaring at her.
"Oh, how can I forget? You recognize the fact that I am stronger than you, and you are so cowardly to face me, so you’re planning to do it your normal way. Backstabbing," Audrey whispered into her ear.
She slowly backed away from her and sat on the stool.
"I suggest you leave, and I don’t just mean this room, I suggest you leave this pack, beore I hurt someone you wouldn’t imagine," Elena threatened.
Audrey laughed, standing up.
"You want to hurt my mother?" Audrey asked, seeing the shocked look on Elena’s face.
"You - how did you know about her?" Elena asked, surprised.
Audrey marched forward, touching her cheek.
"I have powers you’ve never heard of," Audrey said.
"I know. I know Malachi raped her. I know you were sent to kill her so she does not tell anyone about what happened between her and Malachi, I know you failed to kill me because you felt Malachi won’t love you if he discovered that he had a child, and I know you felt heavily threatened by me as teeny tiny baby. So, I know, I know it all," Audrey said, not breaking their eye contact as she revealed what she knew to Elena.
Elena moved back from Audrey, not knowing how to react. The things she thought was were leverage had already been discovered by Audrey, what would she then use an upper hand?
"Celver huh? Let’s see how your bitch mother survives when I tell Malachi about your purpose of coming back to him," Elena said maliciously and quickly went to escape the door.
"Not today, sister. Leave the snitching for some other time," Audrey held her hand up, magically pausing Elena in her steps, making her unable to move any part of her body.
"What are you doing to me? Release me immediately!" Elena spoke as she felt her feet glued to the floor. She was surprised, Audrey did not possess this ability before.
What other new abilities does she have now?
Audrey chuckled and walked around her.
"No, not until I’m gone," Audrey said, patted Elena’s cheeks then disappeared as she came.
She immediately teleported back to her room, "Lisa, get up," she immediately took the girl’s and teleported them out of the room back to the front of cage-like prison.
"What-"
"Shh!!!" She shushed Lisa and motioned for her to remain quiet, she magically unlocked the door and motioned for her to follow her in.
Lisa was scared but, she obediently followed Audrey into the cag-like prison. For the time she’d come to know Audrey, she knew she wouldn’t harm her.
As the they walked in, Lisa followed Audrey closely, scared by the skeletons she saw lying scattered around the floor.
"We’re jumping over, come on," She lifted Lisa over the demarcation and jumped over herself.
Her eyes Immediately went to the skinny figure lying on the cold floor with her legs and hands shackled heavily with chains.
’Mother!’ Avery whispered inside her head.
"Yes, Mother," Audrey replied and walked over to the unconscious woman. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
She waved her hands above her, releasing the chains and they fell to the floor.
"Hold tightly, we’re going a long distance," Audrey said to Lisa.
When she was sure that Lisa had held her arm tightly, she lifted her mother into her arms and teleported the three of them back to the Grey Blood Pack.
