Hated By The Alpha-Chapter 105: Facing The Pasts
Audrey walked down the dungeon with her friends beside her, today, Will and Bill were both present guarding their posts.
Last night, she had told Alpha Lake everything about their situation and he had immediately promised to be by her side till the end.
He promised her the alliance of the Grey Blood Pack; they would stand beside her during war and in peace, forever.
But, one thing left them disturbed. They had wanted to discover how to prevent that tragic vision from happening, but Selena didn’t seem to be ready to help them, she only rewarded them with silence.
Audrey had even ended up going out and staying in Alpha Lake’s quiet balcony to concentrate and focus on her communication with Selena, but it was almost like Selena was dead because Audrey ended up not even sensing her spirit guide with her anymore.
The friends walked through the dungeon passageway and came to a stop in front of Bill, who was guarding Cara and Grace’s gate. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"Hello, Bill. Long time," Audrey said as if she was greeting a long-time friend.
Bill saw who was standing before him and couldn’t believe his eyes. He quickly turned his face to his brother who was guarding Janeth’s gate two doors after his.
Will looked disturbed. He already sighted Audrey and concluded that his end was near. He had his doubts the last time she visited with the black hair, but seeing her now, he became convinced that she was the same person as the girl he locked up in that same dungeon a year ago.
"A-audrey?" Bill stammered, unsteadily moving away from her, fear evident in his voice and face.
"Oh for fuck’s sake, be stable!" Alex suddenly grabbed Bill by the collar and roughly slammed his back against the dungeon gate, pinning him by the neck.
"Oh, come on, Alex, he was probably scared and trying to run," Sandra said in a caring manner.
Alex chuckled, "I know."
He sighed and shoved his hands into his pockets, "I just hate it when you’re trying to have a civilized conversation with people and they’re all over the place,"
He turned back to Bill and degradingly tapped his cheek, "Now, be still, Bill. And answer to your Luna, understood?!" He barked at him.
"Y-yes!" Bill managed to say.
Maria was quietly standing behind them, observing the whole scene and place, imagining how scared her cousin must have been surviving alone in such a cruel pack where everyone hated her.
She was proud of Audrey; she’d come a long way, and she was really strong to have found a place in her heart to forgive and accept Alpha Lake and everyone who had wronged her, well... not everyone.
She pitied these two guards and those three girls inside the dungeon. Audrey was very bitter about what they had done to her in the past, and she wasn’t going to stop her when she’d be serving them their well-deserved karma.
Audrey watched on with a smile; she couldn’t believe that this was the same guard she used to be afraid of in the past. He was nothing but a cowardly giant.
"Relax, guys, I just want to have a chat with him," Audrey said and stepped forward.
"Get your brother, and get the prisoners too," Audrey ordered, allowing her wolf to flash through her eyes.
"Y-yes, Luna," Bill answered and quickly ran over to Will to inform him.
Will wasted no time cooperating; he quickly went into the dungeon cell and dragged the corpse-looking Janeth out, while Bill hurried in and led Cara and Grace out of the cell.
"Here we are, Luna," Bill said, bowing his head.
Sandra scoffed, rolling her eyes at him. She felt like kicking his face, seeing him acting like a pussy now irritated her to the core.
He didn’t want to face his punishment, but he so easily punished others.
"Come," Audrey simply said and turned around and started walking away.
As she led them out of the dungeon, she headed toward the forest at the back of the kitchen; no one goes there for anything; it was more like the abandoned part of the pack.
Cara and Grace were filled with shock and fear as they stared at Audrey, but their fear level was higher than the shock.
They immediately knew that no judge or jury could plead their case before Aydrey. They knew they were wrong; remembering all the evil things they’d done to her made them more scared of what Audrey was about to do to them, especially now that she was Luna.
Grace was already sobbing, imagining the worst scenario in her head. All those while, she had been messing with a powerful witch, and now, it was time to pay for her actions.
Audrey didn’t bother leading them deep into the forest; she stopped right in front of the forest and turned to face them, her friends coming to stand beside her.
"I had nothing to do with it, Luna; it was all him; he planned everything with her!" Bill suddenly fell on his knees, pointing accusingly at his twin brother.
"I haven’t said anything, Bill," Audrey tilted her head slightly, regarding the twins suspiciously.
Will looked so ashen, his fears and guilt were easily seen with one look at him.
"Or maybe, we can start from there," Audrey pointed her hand to Will, "So tell me, why did you try to kill me?" Audrey asked directly, her tone and face turning serious.
Will looked around at the faces of the people standing beside Audrey, and when he saw that none of them looked like they were ready to help him, he fell to his knees beside his brother, bowing in front of Audrey.
Janeth’s weak body fell to the floor in a thud as Will, who was holding her up, released her to kneel before Audrey.
"Eew," Sandra murmured.
"Please, Luna, forgive me! I was forced to do it," Will begged, putting his hands together before him.
"No, no, you weren’t forced. She asked us if we could do it. I said no, and she was almost gone, but it was you who called her back and promised to do it for free because Luna always resisted your sexual advances," Bill exposed his twin brother.
"A dead man, but still lying," Maria spoke beside Audrey.
"No, no, please, I’m sorry for lying; I was scared she’d report me to the Alpha; please forgive me; I’m a changed person," Will begged.
Audrey scoffed, looking over at Janeth. Her face and a part of her neck were rotten all over; the skin in those areas had long decayed and was now falling out, and the stink of decayed dead flesh was disturbing her from concentrating on these dumb men before her.
"The Alpha is the wrong person to fear. You should fear her," Sandra said in a foreboding tone, pointing at Audrey.
Everyone looked at Audrey as she walked over to Janeth and lowered herself in a squat.
"What’s she doing with the sand?" Alex whispered to Maria as he saw Audrey collecting sand from the ground.
"The flesh and bones are both made from dust and ashes," Maria replied and turned away from Alex to watch Audrey perform her healing ritual on Janeth.
"Let the dust reform what used to be, from inside to the outside," Audrey whispered and raised her hand above Janeth’s body, sprinkling the sand into her decayed face and neck.
And soon, the yucky and nasty sound of flesh regeneration was heard.
"Uucckk!" Sandra turned away from her friend and the splattering sound of puke echoed all around.
"Seriously?" Maria turned to Sandra and slowly patted her back.
Will, Bill, Cara, and Grace watched in horrific shock as the once decayed skin suddenly turned new as if Janeth wasn’t looking like a rotten zombie a few seconds ago.
This display successfully unlocked a new type of fear within them.
*Cough, cough,*
Janeth coughed, slowly blinking her eyes and taking in her new environment.
Her eyes widened as she saw Audrey before her and she quickly stood up and backed away, looking at everyone present with confusion and fear.
"Not even a thank you?" Audrey asked and walked back to her friends.
That’s when Janeth noticed the great change in her body; she no longer felt weak, and more importantly, she could now feel her face and neck again.
She raised her hands to her face and touched it down to her neck. Healed.
She slowly approached Audrey, an unreadable expression written all over her face.
"Audrey, I-"
"Stay," Alex blocked Janeth with his arm, not allowing her to come close to Audrey, "Not any closer," He warned her.
Janeth obediently nodded and moved away from them.
She stared at the other people in front of Audrey and understood what this meeting was for, and she also understood that Audrey had healed her not because she’d forgiven her, but because she was planning on sending her back to her death.
"My, this is taking forever," Audrey said in a bored tone.
"I can tell you everything you want to know, Luna," Will offered desperately.
Luna?
Janeth felt a sharp pain pierce her heart, so she finally mated with the Alpha. She sighed, dejected, she had always known it was never going to work between her and the Alpha, it was time she moved on, after all, she was aware that her days were now numbered. So she decided to spend her remaining days living for herself, it was the last thing she could do for herself.
She owed herself love, the love she’d deprived herself of for ten good years now.
"I don’t care why you did what you did, Will. You’ve done it, and will face the due consequences," Audrey went and stood in front of Cara and Grace as she continued speaking to Will.
"I just need to know," She smiled at Cara and Grace then walked back to Will.
"Who is she?" She asked.
Will saw the vengeance on her face and knew that he had just messed with the most dangerous person on earth.
