That might give these survivors more hope, after all no one would mind someone who is an evolver and can help them in this precarious situation.

He drove towards the middle park, the place where the camp was situated according to his aunt.

He had seen this park a few years back so he knew its location.

When he reached there he didn’t stop his car far away, instead he decided to take it directly in front of the park.

When he crossed the last street, the park finally became visible to him, to his surprise there wasn’t a single dead walker in the vicinity.

Did they clear all the dead walkers in this area, it was a little hard to believe but it could be a possibility.

There were three evolvers according to his aunt.

The whole park seemed to be covered in a boundary of fenced wires.

Suddenly the main gate opened and two men came out holding spears. They looked at the car with weary yet surprised expressions.

Lukas turned off the engine and came out with his bow strapped around his body.

"Who are you?"

One of the men asked, although his voice didn’t seem to be on guard but more full of expectation.

"I am just an evolver looking for survivors, when I saw the fences here I knew that some of you have survived... so how many of you are in there?"

The two men looked at each other, their eyes showed relief when they heard an evolver.

"Not many, in the start we had about 36 but now only 16 have been left..."

Lukas raised an eyebrow at the total number of survivors, "How many evolvers do you have?"

The men looked at each other and suddenly one of them answered with a sorrowful face, "We had a total of three but now only two are left..."

Lukas was surprised, that means one left or died recently, "What happened here? How did you guys lose so many members?"

Well he had killed three but what about the others?

"What happened uncle?"

A low melodious voice echoed from inside before Lukas heard footsteps and a girl around his age or maybe a little younger came running to the gate...

The girl’s eyes fell on Lukas and she spoke with wide eyes, "Who is this?"

"This is an evolver who was searching for survivors... Ahh where are our manners, please come inside our leader would be thrilled to meet you..." One of the man spoke gently.

The girl’s eyes shone with joy and Lukas couldn’t help but compare her to Grace. She was beautiful and he really wasn’t expecting to meet a beauty like her here.

Her light brown features and cute innocent face were in contrast with her properly developed body.

"Alright...", Lukas nodded, he was here to meet the leader anyway, he would get his answers from her.

"You can park the car inside..." One of the men said and began opening the gate completely.

"Wow a sports car—" The girl spoke before stopping, "S-sorry for my behaviour"

"Well you can admire it, there is no need to be sorry, if you want you can hop in...", Lukas didn’t know why she was being sorry for something like that.

"No, no... please don’t mind me, welcome to our camp" The girl became flustered after being called out like that.

Lukas didn’t ask again and sat in his car before driving it inside.

After parking it to the side he saw some tents about 100 meters away from the entrance.

The man and girl took him towards the tents and Lukas saw some people coming out of the tents.

There was one tent which was the biggest and it seemed that it was their destination.

"Please wait here, I will go and ask for permission from the leader..." One of the men said and entered inside the tent.

The girl was looking curiously at his bow strapped from left shoulder to right hip. She was being subtle as if she didn’t want him to notice her gaze but it was impossible not to when she was so bad at hiding it.

Lukas decided to let it be, if he said anything she would just get flustered again.

The man came out and nodded, "Please come inside..."

Lukas entered and saw four people seated on chairs, they all stood up the moment he entered inside. They all seemed to be in a surprised state.

Lukas’s eyes were stoic but he was really surprised inwardly, no wonder his aunt said that he would like her. How could he not, she might be the finest milf he has seen till now.

Light brown hair and eyes, beautiful young face even though she was definitely in her late thirties, busty body with big breasts, perfect curves and those enticing thick thighs... she was the milf of his dreams.

He didn’t stare at her and looked at the others, two were middle-aged men while the last one was a young man in his early twenties.

The woman began introducing the others and Lukas listened while giving small nods to the people introduced. Once she was done, he finally gave his name, "My name is Lukas..."

The woman nodded and pointed towards the empty chair, "Please take a seat, we really weren’t expecting to meet someone so soon... or maybe ever"

Lukas could feel the weight in her words, she seemed to be quite tired. He took the seat and sat after adjusting it. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

The two men who had escorted him here stayed behind him with the girl.

"So can I ask you—"

"First of all can I ask you what your level is?"

Lukas was cut mid-sentence by the man who was the evolver. His name was Adrian.

Lukas maintained his calm even though he didn’t like being cut in the middle like that, "Well, I can tell you this that I am definitely stronger than you..."

Adrian’s face scrunched up a little but suddenly he heard another voice.

"Adrian you shouldn’t interrupt someone like that...", Catherine felt the tension and decided to intervene as she didn’t want discord among themselves.

She didn’t know how strong this young boy was but she didn’t care about it. Since he had come here in search of survivors that means he definitely is from a good shelter or camp where there definitely are more evolvers and food.

Food was already becoming a problem for them, the reason so many of them died recently.

"Humph... he is just a young chick" Adrian snorted.

Catherine wanted to rebuke him but she was afraid of falling out with him too. She didn’t want that to happen when she wasn’t even sure if this young boy really could take them to a more secure place or not.

"Oh well..." Lukas decided to not pursue the matter further, it’s normal for some people who think themselves stronger than others to behave like that, "Anyway, where was I, Ahh yes... Miss Catherine, can you give me a general idea of how you all have survived till now and why you lost so many people when you guys were 36 in the start..."

He really wanted to know to understand their circumstances. There was definitely something fishy here.

They definitely had weapons and manpower to survive this initial wave so how did they lose so many lives.

Catherine sighed when she heard that, "Everything was going well but suddenly one tragedy after another struck us..."

Catherine began explaining everything from the start about how she evolved and gathered people who had not been infected near her to form a group...

Lukas listened to everything calmly, he maintained his expression even when Catherine mentioned the three men who had gone out with a lot of fuel and firearms.

Their no return was quite costly for them since they had brought a lot of ammunition with them as backup in case they got surrounded by a lot of zombies.

They didn’t know how these people died, their car was found destroyed in one of the streets.

To Lukas’s surprise Catherine didn’t mention the house of his aunt or her involvement in the accident.

When Catherine began telling him about the next tragedy, he finally got a little stunned.

The reason why there were no dead walkers in the park wasn’t because they killed all of them but because all dead walkers left one day.

It was quite shocking for the people of the camp too. Usually they were using the method of luring zombies through the main gate and killing them to farm equipment and hoping to find a good spell for one of the evolvers they had.

Luckily they really found one such spell so, the movement of zombies was although a welcome change, it wasn’t without losing some merits.

Because of this they sent some people again to investigate this matter to where the zombies had gone but... they never returned back.

And that’s when they decided that the evolver who had the skill would go with some strong people and investigate this situation...
