Chapter 88: Chapter 88 You Want to Mock Me? Kiss This

Nearly two thousand soldiers, one after another, tortured forty-eight women. Among those women, twenty-eight were over fifty, and eighteen were past sixty. Most of them were old enough to be their grandmothers.

And these so-called "young warriors"? Barely eighteen or twenty, no older than damn kids. Yet they did it anyway - no guilt, just amusement written all over their faces.

"In the end... Magnus threw a grenade and jumped off the sixth floor with the three of us," Jade finished, her voice dull and drained. Every woman present was seething with rage, especially Charlotte and Sophia - both had served in the military.

"Animals! Are those bastards still in Coldmere Town? How many of them? I’ll gut them all myself, right now!" Sophia growled, reaching for her weapon. The three girls around her backed off in fright, eyes wide.

Magnus stood calm. "When I left, they had over fifteen hundred men, plus dozens of infantry vehicles and tanks."

"I don’t care if they’ve got ten thousand!" Sophia snapped. "Give me a small team and ten Crystal, just ten! I’ll wipe those pigs out! Charlotte! You’re coming!"

Magnus’s voice was cold, flat. "This isn’t the only place. What you saw in Coldmere happens everywhere. Even that military airfield we’re hitting tonight - same story. You want to kill them all? You never will."

Then he turned to Charlotte. "This is why I wanted you in Ice Regiment from the start. It won’t be long before Cliff in Springvale puts out more bounties - more women dragged into those slave camps. That’s why I don’t allow men in the team. Any guy can trade a few women to Baxter and live like a king. But if a woman sells out, she’s either dead or ends up in the camps herself."

He’d said this more than once, but no one ever really believed him.

After a quick break, thirty minutes later, Magnus led Sophia, Grace, Abigail, and Emma out - the five of them heading to blow up Cliff’s airfield. It was going to be a tough one.

The rest of the women had the day off, free to move around the underground shelter - but once the air was clear of planes, they’d get busy too.

Ten Metal Crystals, one Hummer, two shoulder-launched rockets, twenty shells, five auto-rifles, and one hundred magazines. Magnus, Sophia, Grace, Abigail, and Emma were geared up and ready.

"I’m driving," Sophia said, cutting off Magnus as he opened the driver’s door.

He didn’t argue, tossed her the keys. But when he moved to the passenger seat, Sophia snapped again, "Grace, you ride up front."

Magnus didn’t even flinch. He turned and climbed into the back. Abigail slid in next to him, Emma took the middle spot.

Once they were all in, Sophia glanced at her sister. "Grace, cover that rear-view mirror with something. Nothing in here we should be looking at."

Magnus had just started thinking Sophia was calming down. That hope didn’t last five damn minutes. She was back to her usual self. Screw it. Magnus didn’t have the energy to argue anymore. Let her bark all she wants - he’d just consider this another good deed for the day. Payback can damn well wait.

The military airbase of the Seventh Sovereign Vanguard sat twenty kilometers south of Springvale City. There were two roads to get there: straight through Springvale, or a detour around Ironvale County. For Magnus and his crew, the choice was clear - only the detour was safe. Springvale was crawling with danger.

The Munga roared through Ironvale, and every so often, the desperate cries of surviving civilians pierced the air. The sounds weren’t easy to hear. But stopping? Out of the question. Nothing they could do. Leaving them behind felt like turning a blind eye to death itself.

After two hours of driving, they reached the highway past Ironvale. No hiccups, and they could make it before noon. But Magnus preferred a night assault - less risk.

"No need to wait, we’ve got Metal Crystals," Sophia snapped, arms crossed and brow furrowed.

"It’s not just about safety," Magnus explained, calm but firm. "Daytime’s when their planes fly missions. At night, they’re all parked. We hit them then - nothing gets away."

The airstrip sprawled out ahead - flat ground for miles, broad as any battlefield. Four paved roads stretched in all directions. Barely any wreckage or mutated creatures around.

About five hundred meters from the base, they veered off-road into an overgrown paddy field. It was 1:15 in the afternoon. Still five or six hours till darkness cloaked the earth.

Sophia cut the engine and casually pulled a pack of cigarettes from her pocket, about to light one when Grace reached out and snatched it from her. "Seriously, sis? Smoking now? Who taught you that?"

"The kind of general you have is the kind of soldier you get. Didn’t need anyone to teach me," Sophia shot back, face hard and cold.

Magnus leaned back in his seat, eyes shut, trying to focus on the Nature Crystals. Just this morning, he’d taken two from Liana, along with twenty-two Life Crystals. Stored them in his spatial vault with care. But these two Nature Crystals? He still had no clue what they did.

No one bothered responding to Sophia. The car went quiet. She didn’t push the cigarette talk. After a while, she spoke again, her tone laced with sarcasm. "So, what now? We just sit here? Or should I and Grace give you all some alone time?"

Abigail and Emma flushed red - almost in perfect sync.

After all, this wasn’t just any car. It was the exact one where, not long ago, they’d each been taken by Magnus in the backseat - one after the other, moaning into the leather as his hands held them down. The memory of his cock buried deep inside them, of how he came hard and hot, filling them until they were dripping onto the seat, made their thighs instinctively clench.

Just being back here brought it all rushing back - the heat, the sounds, the way they were left trembling and marked.

Magnus cursed inwardly and opened his eyes. The woman never stopped. Always throwing shade. He’d had enough.

Gotta shut her damn mouth - permanently.

But how? Kill her? No. Not an option. Cut ties completely? Grace and Charlotte would be stuck between them. Besides, Sophia was a damn good squad leader - sharp and efficient.

He pulled a Fire Crystal from his spatial vault and tossed it to her without a word.

"Get out, Sophia," he said coldly.

She caught it with one smooth motion, eyes narrowing. "What? You wanna fight me now?"

"Damn right. You got the guts?"

"Oh, please," Sophia scoffed. "Think brute strength’s gonna win this for you? I’ve run special forces squads. You think I’m scared of a brawl?"

She crushed the crystal in her hand without hesitation and threw the door open. Magnus pressed his black ring - triggered his own Fire Crystal - and stepped out too.

"What are you doing?!" Grace shouted, panic in her voice.

"Our business. Stay out of it!" Sophia barked.

They met in front of the Munga, square in view of the others. Sophia locked eyes with Magnus, unflinching.

"Been a long time coming," she said.

"Damn right," Magnus snarled. She’d always called him a thug. Well, tonight he’d show her just how right she was.
