Harem Legion: Queens of the Apocalypse-Chapter 77 Strip Search or Strip Down
Henry pulled off the rag tied around his head, revealing a somewhat handsome face. Flashing a smug smile at Sophia, he said, "Don’t get the wrong idea. We only boarded your car to protect you. Wouldn’t want someone as pretty as you getting hurt."
His words were disgusting. Charlotte stood up, shielding Sophia behind her, and said coldly, "Let me ask you something. If we say we don’t need your protection, will you leave now?"
"Leave?" Henry sneered. Seeing another beautiful woman cheered him up, and he was about to toss out another lewd remark when someone behind jabbed him. His smile vanished, he cleared his throat and straightened his face.
"You students need to learn your place. We’re not bullying you. Just answer this - who does this sleeper car belong to? Did you pay for it? Is this your property?"
Shameless bastard.
The female team members almost laughed in disbelief. Even some of the dozen men who came with Henry looked embarrassed.
Emily stood with a cold smile. "Fine, not ours. What do you want then? Rob the car? Demand payment?"
"Rob?" Henry put on a serious air. "The car wasn’t yours in the first place. How’s that robbery? You..." His eyes locked on Emily’s face. "You don’t look like a student. Must be their teacher. Being a university teacher, you should know the law, right? Know what I do? Heard of ’Henry Law Offices’ back in Ironvale County? That’s mine..."
"You’re a lawyer?" Emily turned to the others with a mocking smile. "You all think like him too?"
Maybe it was sympathy between women. A woman in Henry’s group, around twenty-seven or twenty-eight, muttered, "Henry, maybe we should drop it. Forcing them off the car is the same as killing them, isn’t it?"
"What the hell are you saying?" Henry glared sideways at her. "Since when did I say I was kicking them out? Don’t put words in my mouth unless you want me to drag you to court."
Even Charlotte’s temper was starting to fray. She looked him straight in the eye. "Cut the crap and give us a straight answer. You’ve got weapons, we don’t. What do you plan to do?"
"Our move," Henry sniffed, "depends on how you behave. You behave right, maybe you stay. You don’t - we’ll see."
Sophia laughed coldly. "And what exactly does proper behavior look like to you? Care to spell it out so we can see if we’re up to standard?"
Henry’s voice dropped low. "Now we’re talking..." Then he suddenly shouted, "All you students, get the hell down from those beds and put your hands up where we can see them! We’re going to search you one by one! Anyone hiding weapons, better hand them over now! Don’t make me do it myself - you won’t like the outcome!"
The men who’d come with him perked up at that, eyes gleaming, ready to pounce. Charlotte pressed down her anger and snapped, "You want to search us? Fine. But shouldn’t it be your women doing it? A bunch of men stripping us down - how’s that right?"
"Right?" Henry burst out laughing. "You so-called teachers stole a damn train with your students. That was ’right’? Now we just want a look at your bodies and suddenly it’s ’wrong’? Let me tell you something - it’s damn right! In a minute, I’m gonna make all you teacher ladies strip, and we’ll see how ’right’ that feels!"
Magnus didn’t flare up like the women. He’d already guessed how filthy Henry would play it, though he was still surprised by just how shameless the man was.
The moment things reached a boiling point, when Henry and his crew really looked like they were moving in to strip-search, Magnus stood up, calm and silent. He drew the pistol from the back of his waist, pressed it against Henry’s forehead - and pulled the trigger.
Bang.
Henry dropped instantly.
At that exact moment, the rest of the female team members yanked out hidden firearms and leveled them at the remaining ten-plus men and women. The car went dead quiet. Henry’s group froze, disbelief and terror washing over them. A few hadn’t even wiped the smirks off their faces yet - they were just stuck there, wide-eyed and dumb.
One man dropped to his knees first, bawling, "Spare us! Please don’t kill us! We - we’re just regular folks, we didn’t do anything, we’re not bad people, we’re really not!"
That opened the floodgates. Everyone else dropped too, begging for mercy like a bunch of cowards.
Sophia sneered at them. "If we didn’t have guns, would you have spared us?"
"We would’ve! We sw - swear!" the man kept slamming his head against the floor. "Ladies, listen! It was just a prank! We said so on the train, didn’t we? Just a little joke! We’d never hurt you, we swear! It was all a misunderstanding!"
Faced with death, the man seemed ready to spout any nonsense he could. Not that he had a choice.
The women watching couldn’t help laughing - what a pathetic bunch. Didn’t know a man could be so spineless.
Charlotte and Sophia didn’t laugh. The worse these people looked, the more disgusted they felt - they’d actually considered letting them join? Every other ragtag group of survivors they’d run into was less pathetic than this.
Emily turned to Magnus. "What now, Magnus?"
He was already over it. "Let the men go. Ask the women if they want to join Ice Regiment. If they do, they start in logistics. If not, we let them walk."
"Thank you! Thank you, thank you!" The men groveled at his feet, faces kissing dirt. No pride left in them.
Sophia exploded. "They were about to assault me! And you’re just letting them go?!"
Magnus shot her a glare. "Every man out there probably thought about it. What, you want to kill them all?"
"What the hell do you mean by that?!" Sophia shouted. "You saying you think about it too? You want to?! Don’t you dare, Magnus! I’m warning you - just because you lead Ice Regiment doesn’t mean you can do whatever the hell you want!"
