Harem Legion: Queens of the Apocalypse-Chapter 32 They Looked at Me Like God
"Spray the repellent, light the fire path."
Magnus raised his hand, signaling "5" to the sleeper bus behind - a clear order to send five squads down. Right after, he drew a finger across his neck. If they resist, kill.
Five fully geared squads jumped out, dressed in biker armor and helmets, armed with rifles and pistols. Magnus gripped his own automatic rifle in both hands, stepped up to the supermarket entrance. The makeshift blockade rolled aside, and after firing a few rounds into the sky, he charged in.
The female team members followed fast, shouting sharply, "Everyone on the ground! Now! Down!"
Grace and Sophia led the rearguard, rushing in last and locking the shelf blockade shut behind them.
Torches lit up the entire supermarket.
One woman’s corpse lay sprawled on the floor. Kneeling beside her was a man, hunched over her, sobbing. Four hundred terrified female students and over thirty riot squad members were face-down on the ground, motionless.
Magnus’s eyes narrowed. Something was off about these riot squad guys. He walked toward a group of them. Before he could speak -
"We’re here to rescue you!" Sophia shouted loudly. "Don’t be afraid. Twenty at a time, stand up. Head to the big coach on the training field!"
"Hold it!" Magnus cut in sharp. "We ask questions first."
"Questions? What’s the point?" Sophia snapped back. "The fire path at the door’s gonna burn out soon! Get them up first - we can talk in the van."
"Shut it!" Magnus barked. He didn’t have time to argue with this lunatic. Something felt wrong.
He’d just passed a group of girls - they were clearly scared, shaking a little. But now, looking at three riot guys closest, two had pissed themselves.
What the hell were they so afraid of?
He crouched, tapped one of the ones who’d wet his pants. "What are you guys?"
The guy tensed up, voice trembling. "We’re police academy students! We didn’t do anything, I swear! We didn’t kill anyone! We’re innocent!"
Then he broke down sobbing.
"You’re scaring him," Sophia snapped, stepping over and pushing Magnus out of the way. She crouched down, softening her voice. "It’s okay, you’re safe now..."
But Magnus walked past, heading straight to Jade’s corpse. This woman wasn’t taken out by monsters.
He frowned. "What happened here? Who did this?"
"I did! I killed her!" Jack snapped, eyes red as he leapt up from her body. "Come on! Kill me! You got the guts?! Do it right now!"
He swung his police baton, aiming for Magnus’s head.
"Bang!"
The shot rang out. The baton froze mid-air.
Jack’s body slumped forward, crumpling over Jade’s corpse. Charlotte stood behind him, gun raised, steady.
"What are you doing?!" Sophia stormed over, furious. "Charlotte! You too? You’ve gone mad?!"
"No! That’s not right!" Molly and Lucy were on door-guard duty. None of them had hit the ground earlier. Now Molly suddenly stepped forward, pointed at the police academy students and shouted at Sophia, "They’re the crazy ones! They’re the ones who should die!"
"Yeah! They deserve it. Every one of them!"
More girls found their courage. One by one, they stood up from the ground, speaking out, accusing the group of police cadets. And then even more stood, their voices rising in rage...
Sophia stood frozen. The rest of the female team was stunned.
These nursing students had let the cadets in. And what did they do? Beat, kill, worse... And yet Sophia was blaming Magnus for scaring these bastards?
Sophia’s face flushed red. Magnus didn’t even look her way. He ordered one unit to guard the thirty police cadets, then led another crew to lay down three more lanes of fire, cutting a path straight to the empty sleeper bus. The rest of the squads shielded the hundreds of nursing students as they boarded. In the end, the cadets were left inside the supermarket.
Magnus hadn’t killed them - not because he was afraid. No, it just wasn’t worth it. He had to think about how killing them would sit with his team.
When everyone was aboard, each vehicle gave a short honk - ready to move. Magnus climbed into the Humvee last.
The backseat was packed with gasoline drums for laying fire paths. Sarah sat up front. When she saw Magnus climb in, she grabbed a white cloth and reached out to wipe the sweat off his face. Summer heat, too much gear - it was sweltering.
Then - BOOM!
Magnus had just turned the Humvee toward the front gate when he saw two SUVs outside the campus explode into the sky.
They were from his convoy.
The ground shook. Cries echoed from every direction. The female squad members onboard couldn’t help but scream.
Magnus had just peeled off his helmet. He shivered, slammed the brakes - his heart dropped. The blast wasn’t just some random gunpowder toy. This was no doubt a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher.
He jammed the helmet back on. No time to light torches. He leapt from the Humvee, waving both arms frantically - ordering the convoy to kill their engines. Battle mode, now.
He sprinted toward the bus where Charlotte was. Climbing aboard, he barked, "Listen up! Special Forces - gear up with flame throwers! All of you with automatics off this bus, NOW! 30 seconds! I want boots on the ground in position!"
He snatched up two torches and jumped down first, swinging them wildly, clearing a circle as the zombies around the convoy edged back.
Amber was right behind him, flame thrower already loaded and burning.
Magnus was boiling inside. Gunfire was still going off at the main gate. Sophia had been holding the rear guard with five SUVs and ten people. If another rocket came now...
Amber swept her weapon across the front of the bus, turning the road into a 100-square-meter kill-free path. One by one, the female troopers jumped down, gathering quick. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
But then - Magnus suddenly raised a hand, stopping Amber mid-sweep.
"Hold it. Don’t torch those centipedes just yet..."
