Harem God- Dimensional Motel System-Chapter 24: Interactions With the Locals 2
Chapter 24 - Interactions With the Locals 2
"LET"S BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HIM!"
The dwarves started closing in.
Luck stayed calm, but his grip on the bat tightened.
They weren't just puffed-up weirdos with weapons—these guys moved like a squad.
With barely a signal, Red flanked to the right.
Green curved to the left. Blue took the center, eyes dead on him.
"Okay, cool," Luck muttered. "Just casually getting surrounded by three angry garden gnomes with murderous eyes. No big deal."
They didn't respond. Just kept closing in.
Luck inhaled slow—then launched forward.
He moved fast—bat raised, body low. His shoes scraped dirt as he drove straight.
The dwarf raised his axe in defense.
'Perfect.'
Luck brought the bat down hard—and stopped mid-swing.
"That was a fake-out, dumbass," he chuckled and slammed his boot into the dwarf's stomach.
Red staggered, letting out a hard grunt as air left his lungs. His body may have been built like a tank, but the gut was still soft meat.
Green and Blue closed in fast, weapons ready to strike from both
He ducked, pivoted, and swung his bat sideways. The metal rod connected with Green's jaw with a meaty crack. The dwarf stumbled back, spitting blood, but didn't fall.
"Okay, that should've dropped a normal person. What are you guys made of, stone and steroids?"
Blue's axe came down like a guillotine.
He jumped back just in time. The blade smashed into the ground, kicking up dirt and leaving a deep gash in the soil.
"You should watch more movies. It's a bad idea to start with a big move."
Without missing a beat, he spun and planted a kick into Green's face. The dwarf grunted and reeled, but still didn't go down.
"Tough little guys," Luck said, backing up. "Did you three eat bricks for breakfast?"
From behind, Red recovered and charged again, axe already mid-swing.
Luck turned fast and dropped low, dodging the blade by inches. He felt the wind cut across his back head. That was close.
"Whoa! Okay, timeout—I need a helmet right now."
The dwarves regrouped in a triangle, weapons gleaming. Dust swirled around them. Their breathing was heavy, but they weren't done.
And neither was he.
Luck backed away, breathing hard but grinning.
"Alright, you munchkins. Let's see what else you got."
Red growled. "You talk too much."
"What can I say? I hit better when I'm running my mouth. Perk of being me. Don't take it personal."
All three charged at once this time—no hesitation, just violence.
Luck's feet moved before his brain did. He ducked under Red's swipe, sidestepped Green's overhead chop, and parried Blue's strike with the shaft of his bat.
Metal clashed. Sparks flew.
"Okay, this bat wasn't rated for dwarven death matches!"
He spun low and kicked Blue's legs out. The dwarf staggered. Before he could recover, Luck swung the bat into his ribs. The dwarf yelped and fell sideways.
"One down—oh wait, never mind. He's already getting up."
Red charged again, swinging horizontally. Luck jumped back, but Green was already behind him.
Dropping low, he rolled just before the blade hit.
"I swear, if I make it out of this, I'm buying knee pads."
He popped back up, bat in hand, and sprinted toward Blue—who was still off balance. One clean swing to the gut, then a hit to the back of the head.
Blue groaned and finally dropped, unconscious.
Glancing at the fallen body, he smirked. "One out...Ground should feel like home, right? I heard dwarves were born from dirt... or was that Earth?"
But the celebration didn't last long.
Red came in swinging fast, no fancy moves—just brutal, wide arcs meant to kill.
Luck raised his bat just in time. Only the base of the axe slammed into it.
Still, the force rattled his bones.
Green followed up with a feint to the left, then a real attack to the right.
Luck barely dodged. The blade cut through the side of his shirt.
"Hey! This was my clean shirt, man! I only have, like, three of those."
He stepped back to catch his breath. The dwarves advanced slowly, faces twisted like he just beat one of their own—oh wait, he did.
"Take this, " he ran forward again.
But instead of going for a direct hit, he threw the bat—yes, actually threw it—right at Red's face.
The dwarf raised his axe to block, just like last time.
But again, that wasn't the real attack.
Luck jumped in behind the flying weapon and slammed his elbow into Red's head followed by a hard kick to the ribs. Red dropped his guard, coughing.
Green panicked and swung his weapon without thinking. He forgot how close they were—and the blade slammed right into his brother's chest.
"Damn. Friendly fire," Luck muttered, backing off with a smirk.
Thud!
Red collapsed, breathing hard as blood sprayed from his ribs like a broken sprinkler.
"Pretty sure that was 10% my fault, and 90% you."
Green froze, staring at his brother's body on the ground. His hands gripped the axe tighter, shaking a little.
Luck cracked his neck. "By the way, thanks for the assist. I'm guessing you hated him too? Red clothes—always the angry one in movies."
Green growled, "You'll pay for this. My other brothers will find this place soon... and they'll kill you."
Luck grinned. "Yeah? Then they'll also find three dead bodies. If they're smart, they'll walk away and pretend they never saw this place."
