Chapter 263: Deaths

Liam clenched his teeth, feeling the blade lodged in his back, but the pain only fueled his fury. He felt a great power surge through his body and his eyes began to glow. ๐‘“๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ๐‘’๐‘ค๐‘’๐˜ฃ๐˜ฏโ„ด๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐“.๐‘๐‘œ๐‘š

With a cry that echoed like thunder, he spun and delivered a devastating kick to Ariaโ€™s chest. The impact was so violent that the angel was thrown against one of the crystal columns, cracking it in two.

Seizing the opening, Liam turned quickly and used his power to dissolve the light chains that bound Lucia. The sacred chains disintegrated into golden sparks, and the young woman fell into his arms, weak but alive.

"Youโ€™re free now..." he murmured, gently laying her on the ground. "Donโ€™t worry, Iโ€™ll save them all."

Unfortunately, there was no time for tenderness. Liamโ€™s gaze returned to Aria, who was already rising with a wicked smile, the axe spinning in her hands as if she had not felt the impact.

He didnโ€™t wait. He lunched forward. His body throbbed with pain, yet his heart burned with relentless fury. His fist struck the angelโ€™s face with brutal force, drawing blood.

Allowing no time for her to react, he continued: a punch to the stomach, a sideways kick that sent her to the floor, and soon he was on top of her, striking without mercy.

Each attack carried a pressure that terrified the angels. The hallโ€™s walls trembled, the crystal distorted as if space itself were being shaped by his rage.

Aria tried to counterattack, but Liam grabbed the axeโ€™s haft, redirected the blow, and drove his knee into her chest, crushing her armor. The angelโ€™s scream reverberated through the hall.

"You will never touch them again!" he roared, punching her so hard that her perfect face split into blood and pain.

In a final movement, Liam wrapped the enemyโ€™s body with black chains, immobilizing her for a few moments. The chains tightened around her, crushing her wings and pinning her arms.

Aria screamed, trying to break free, but Liam did not hesitate. He stepped forward, picked up his fallen blade from the ground, and drove it through the angelโ€™s chest with violence, impaling her.

Ariaโ€™s body trembled, the light in her eyes extinguished, and then she fell motionless, defeated.

Liam remained panting over her, blood still running from his back, but his look was firm and determined. He had won.

However, the joy of victory lasted little.

Recognizing the strength of their opponent, the archangels moved immediately. One of them activated a summoning spell, calling their allies.

Meanwhile, the partner moved quickly. Instead of trying to attack Liam directly, the angel focused on another enemy.

He wanted to ensure the execution would be carried out. So before trying to eliminate the sinner, the angel moved, finishing the execution

Mariaโ€™s head rolled across the floor before anyone had a chance to react.

And in the next moment the archangel was advancing with the intent to kill Lucia once and for all.

Lucia could not believe her eyes; her body burned with hatred at the sight of her sisterโ€™s lifeless body. Everything she had done had been in vain. To make matters worse, she had no strength to react. From the torture, her body was weakened.

To make it worse, in the sky a gigantic golden portal opened, and dozens of angels began to appear from it.

The ground shook as the archangel lunged toward Lucia, the flaming blade raised to reap her life. She could barely move, her body weak and wounded after the torture, and she could only let out a desperate cry.

But Liam appeared before her like lightning. His hand intercepted the blow, the sacred flames spreading across his arms, burning his skin.

"If you want to kill her..." he growled, pushing the blade back with tremendous effort. "Youโ€™ll have to get through me!"

With a roar, Liam spun his body. A misty edge formed around his hand, coalescing into a blade. Then he swung, forcing the archangel to retreat, surprised by the brutal strength of that human. The clash between them echoed like thunder, and the pressure of their energies made the walls of the golden cathedral crack.

For a moment, it seemed Liam might win. The archangel was powerful, but retreated before the avalanche of blows.

Then the sky roared. The golden portal opened fully and dozens of angels began to fill the battlefield. Their white wings dyed the hall with blinding light, and their voices chanted orders.

They hurled themselves at Liam like a living storm. Surrounded by enemies, the boy was slowly crushed.

He dodged, blocked, crushed enemies with his fists and with his blade... but the numbers were overwhelming. For every angel he felled, three arose. His arms began to weigh down, his legs trembled, his breath became a ragged roar.

He felt his body reach its limit.

"I wonโ€™t let them hurt my master!!!" Jasmin roared exaggeratedly.

Seized by immense hatred, her body filled with power and she surged forward, tearing the heads off two angels in her path. She grabbed a sword from one of the enemies with her bare hands and kicked another foe away.

She continued fighting intensely; the entire hall seemed to tremble before her brutal resistance. But the woman was inevitably overwhelmed by the number of enemies.

Liam did not remain idle either; he used that moment to recover, and his black chains trapped several angels in eternal dreams.

Still, the spears finally found openings. One pierced his leg. Another went through his shoulder. The weight of the enemies accumulated.

Arrows rained down on him, piercing his body and leaving wounds.

Gradually, Liamโ€™s arms were pinned, his blade torn away, his body pushed to the ground amid a deluge of blows.

He roared, still trying to rise, but the angels multiplied over him. Their combined aura succeeded in holding him down.

Lucia, on her knees, screamed his name, her eyes glowing with a dangerous red hue. Even if she had to give up her life, she would not allow Liam to die.

The redhead murmured a few incantations, hatred consuming her body. She remembered how the angels had pursued her in the past, how they had killed her sister, and how they were about to kill the man who had given her hope and a reason to live.

"Donโ€™t touch him," Luciaโ€™s voice echoed through the hall. Her magic burned intensely, as if her life force were being consumed.
