Half-Hearted: Mr. Sinclair, Stop the Act!-Chapter 68: What a Huge Surprise
Vivian Nash was in the wardrobe, struggling to decide whether to wear a white or red camisole sleepwear tomorrow night when Caleb Sinclair’s video call came through.
At that moment, she was wearing a white strapless camisole, nothing underneath, revealing subtle curves.
Vivian excitedly held up the two nightgowns for him to choose, her face full of coyness, her voice sweet and soft, "Hubby, which one do you like? I’ll wear it for you tomorrow night, okay?"
What met Caleb’s eyes was an expanse of fair, rounded contours; as the camera slowly moved up, it settled on Vivian’s pure and beautiful face, her alluringly clear eyes like hooks piercing through the screen and straight into his heart.
The light in his eyes instantly dimmed, his Adam’s apple moved, and he felt an unnamed flame rising all over his body.
Vivian took in all his subtle changes, raising her brows with proud excitement.
Her soft voice was sweet and indulgent, "Honey, I’m asking you, which one looks good?"
Caleb’s voice was hoarse and deep, "Vivian..."
"Hubby, I miss you too."
Two hours later, exhaustion had fully set in.
Vivian lay on the bed, her two fair and reddened feet propped up, her warm and gentle voice was hoarse, "Hubby, what time will you arrive tomorrow? How about we go for Japanese food in the evening?"
When mentioning tomorrow, Caleb’s rationality began to return a bit, though the lust in his eyes hadn’t completely faded, he pursed his lips, "Tomorrow I have to go back, I won’t be coming over yet."
Vivian froze, instantly sitting up in bed, anxious, "Why? Didn’t you promise? You said you’d come over tomorrow to accompany me, how can you break your word? I haven’t seen you in so many days, just want you to hug me, kiss me, is that so difficult?"
Seeing her tears start to fall, Caleb felt regret and sorrow, admitting fault, "It’s my fault, I’ll make it up to you in a couple of days, okay?"
"How will you make it up? My heart was already hurt by you mentioning breakup, and now you’re ditching me again. Are you going back to be with Sienna Monroe?"
Caleb said nothing, which was as good as an admission.
At that moment, Vivian felt suffocated, her chest filled with a rising tide of hatred.
It’s Sienna again!
Her again!
He once again abandoned her because of Sienna.
What could she do?
She had no choice but to endure.
She clenched her fists, sniffed, forcing down the grievances and bitterness in her throat, her voice showing a kind of deliberately brave strength.
"Well, Sienna is now expecting, especially during the first three months, one must be very careful. After all, those are my future godchild and godchild to boot, it’s okay, you go back and accompany her, I can wait, it’s fine..."
Her latter words grew quieter, like self-comfort, biting her lip, she wiped away the tears and forced a smile.
Being with Caleb Sinclair for so long, she was well aware of Caleb’s soft spot, and what he liked about her.
Seeing her like that, Caleb quickly offered comfort, "Darling, don’t cry, be good, I’ll come to you in a couple of days."
"Promise me this time."
"Alright, I promise."
Vivian pouted, "Then I’ll wait for you. Mwah, love you."
After hanging up the call, the smile on her face instantly vanished, her eyes filled with hatred, she swept her hand, knocking all the bottles and jars off the dresser onto the floor.
Glass shards and various lotions scattered around.

The next afternoon, Caleb Sinclair got off the plane and headed straight home, not even having time to unpack, change, and immediately went into the kitchen to brew the lotus root and ribs soup that Sienna Monroe wanted to drink.
He carefully asked Auntie Miller about Sienna’s condition these past few days—how much she ate at each meal, what she ate, whether she experienced nausea, or felt any discomfort—everything down to the last detail.
After understanding, he let Auntie Miller go home and brought his suitcase upstairs, changed clothes, then returned to the kitchen to work on the evening’s dishes.
Sienna arrived home smelling the familiar aroma spread inside the house from the garden.
Just from the aroma, she recognized Caleb’s cooking skills.
He truly came back.
Upon entering, she was caught off guard by his gentle eyes behind the lenses.
"Honey, you’re back." Caleb was wearing a cute bear apron, his voice warm, "Hurry, wash your hands. It’s really cold in Imperial City today, have a bowl of rib soup to warm up."
"Hmm. I smelled it from outside; what delicious food did you make?"
Sienna suppressed her emotions, took off her coat, washed her hands, raised a smile on her face, and walked over to the dining table, pulled out a chair and sat down, "When did you get back?"
"I landed around five. Didn’t want you to wait when you came back, so I couldn’t waste any time."
His thoughtfulness and gentleness always showed fully.
Sienna moved her lips but couldn’t bring herself to casually utter "husband," "You didn’t even have time to rest... you worked hard."
Caleb smiled indulgently, "As long as you like it and you’re happy, I’ll do anything. Try the taste."
Sienna picked up the spoon and tasted a bite.
His soup was perfectly seasoned, not too salty or bland, with the oil aroma of ribs and the fresh scent of lotus root.
"Delicious."
Sienna lifted her eyes and smiled, "You should sit down and eat too. Is the Brenwood work all arranged? Is it okay to just leave it like this?"
Caleb shook his head, "It’s fine, I’ve arranged for someone to coordinate there, don’t worry."
"That’s good then."
Caleb felt a bit pleased, teasing, "I hadn’t realized you were so clingy before, crying as soon as I leave for a few days."
Sienna paused, inexplicably felt a strong sense of repulsion rising inside, glared at him with unconcealed annoyance, "As long as you know, did you have to say it out loud to make fun of me? Then you can sleep in the study tonight."
"No, no, I was wrong, I was wrong."
Sienna huffed, and after finishing her soup, she even graciously ate a bowl of rice, placed her bowl in the sink, and went upstairs.
Passing by the wardrobe, she noticed the black suitcase standing by the jewelry cabinet.
She couldn’t help but recall the text mentioning the bracelet Caleb brought back for her and Vivian Nash.
She paused, her expression dimming, hesitating for about half a minute before stepping over to the suitcase, flattening it open.
Inside, clothes and toiletries were neatly arranged, clear at a glance.
She removed a coat, and saw in the corner, two identical small jewelry boxes.
Just as she touched the box, Caleb came in, saw what she was holding, his chest skipped a beat, and he quickened his pace.
His voice was calmly controlled, "I was originally going to surprise you, didn’t anticipate you would see it first."
Indeed.
It was quite the surprise.
Buying identical gifts for both wife and lover, pretty convenient.
A trace of mockery flashed in Sienna’s eyes, her tone genuinely surprised, "A gift for me? Let me see, how pretty..."
Speaking, she opened the box in her hand, revealing a full star diamond platinum bracelet inside.
When she opened the second box, finding an identical bracelet inside, her voice halted abruptly, full of bewilderment as she looked at him, "Why are there two identical ones?"
