Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Harrison Hayes

Harrison Hayes?

Sienna Monroe’s eyes flickered with a hint of surprise.

This name was too familiar to her.

Meeting Sebastian Prescott was thanks to critical evidence in Harrison’s case.

Last month, during the second trial, Harrison was acquitted and released.

But she didn’t know Harrison and naturally wasn’t aware of his current situation.

However, she did know Cecilia York, June Ewing’s niece. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

June Ewing’s family’s conditions were average; her father passed away early, and she was raised by her uncle’s family, for whom she was very grateful.

Later, she was accepted by The Sterling Family, and her uncle’s family’s circumstances gradually improved.

She had seen Cecilia York a few times but hadn’t interacted much and didn’t know her well.

The first time was at her wedding to Caleb Sinclair; the second was two months after marrying Caleb when they visited her hometown, Amberfield.

The third time was two years ago at Isaac Sinclair’s birthday, during a small to medium gathering, when June brought her niece over to stay for a few days.

The fourth time was last summer when Cecilia York came to the Imperial City for an internship and stayed with The Sterling Family for two months.

She studied art, and June Ewing had plans to let Cecilia join Serena Art Museum after graduation for further learning.

In Sienna Monroe’s memory, Cecilia York was beautiful, excelled academically, with a gentle, shy, and reserved demeanor.

She spoke softly, and her family doted on her, especially since she was June Ewing’s cousin’s only daughter.

Did June introduce her niece to a high society training class, with or without York Family and her cousin’s knowledge?

However, the last time she checked the roster of employees in those underground enterprises, Cecilia York’s information was not listed.

Sienna Monroe’s expression grew heavier, prompting Nora Joyce to ask anxiously, "Director, is there something wrong with this Scar Removal Cream? When that person delivered it, they registered at the entrance. I can call to return it now..."

"No." Sienna looked up at her, with a slight smile in her eyes. "You can get back to work. Don’t mind me."

"Alright. Call me if you need anything."

Once Nora left, her phone beeped with another SMS notification.

[Cecilia York arrived in the Imperial City at the end of September and has been part of the underground training class at Radiance Beauty Spa for over two months. She’s not formally an underground enterprise employee. Regarding the high society training class, June Ewing didn’t alert The Sterling Family; instead, she let Cecilia stay at Sunhaven Villa under her name. Harrison Hayes is the target June scouted for Cecilia. Yesterday was Cecilia’s first move to feign being bullied for Harrison to step in as a hero. Tonight, at 8:27, she’ll attempt another orchestrated encounter at the DE Club.]

Cecilia York’s tactics weren’t sophisticated, even somewhat clichéd.

Yet they were very effective.

Especially on men.

Thinking of June Ewing’s rise to power, Sienna Monroe sneered internally.

She was just worrying about finding a way to breach the walls of Radiance Beauty Spa’s underground operations, and Cecilia York seemed a promising breakthrough.

However...

It inevitably required leveraging Harrison Hayes.

To ensure Harrison doesn’t fall into Cecilia and June’s trap, she must first warn him.

Though she wasn’t sure about Harrison’s character.

The tricky part was that she didn’t know Harrison, and she rarely interacted with the young men of the Imperial City’s elite circles, knowing them only superficially.

Sienna Monroe pondered for a moment, her gaze falling on the Scar Removal Cream in her hand.

Sebastian Prescott surely knows Harrison, and he’s among the few aware of Radiance Beauty Spa’s underground activities.

Connecting through him seemed the best option.

After making up her mind, she headed to the office, planning to go that afternoon.

Because this morning, Audrey would visit the art museum to discuss the exhibition extension and a joint exhibition with Faye Irving.

If today’s discussions went well, they’d need to negotiate the exhibition’s theme, curatorial plans, dates, sequence, and even reconfigure the venue.

Scheduling all these would take at least a month.

During this period, the museum wouldn’t be closed; Audrey’s solo exhibition would continue. Debating its extension was also on today’s agenda.

After a two-hour meeting, they decided to extend Audrey’s solo exhibition by another 21 days.

For the joint exhibition matters, Sienna Monroe needed to find time to further discuss with Faye Irving.

During lunch with Audrey, Sienna didn’t mention her fake pregnancy. They chatted about daily matters and recent updates, enjoying a milk tea nearby, wrapping up close to two-thirty before parting ways.

The museum operated as usual in the afternoon without any significant issues, while Sienna headed straight to Aethel Law Firm.

She hadn’t reached the front desk when she encountered Assistant Nash.

"Assistant Nash."

"Miss Morgan?" Assistant Nash was surprised. "What brings you here?"

"I’m here to see Lawyer Prescott. Is he available?"

"Miss Morgan, your timing is impeccable. Director Prescott just returned from a field trip not long ago and is in the office. I’ll take you up."

"Thank you."

Arriving on the fifth floor, Assistant Nash gently knocked on the office door and pushed it open, "Director Prescott, Miss Morgan is here."

Sitting at his desk, Sebastian Prescott looked up from his computer screen, his eyes falling on Sienna Monroe, his calm phoenix eyes revealing no surprise at her visit.

He stood, instinctively glanced at Sienna’s leg, noting her walking normally, and then retracted his gaze, speaking quietly, "Sit. Nash, make some tea."

Assistant Nash nodded and left the office.

After Sienna sat, she pulled out the bottle of Scar Removal Cream from her bag, "You had Assistant Nash send this to me, right? Thank you."

Sebastian didn’t deny it. Hearing it was good for scars and thinking of her ankle injury, he had a friend bring it over from abroad a few days ago.

Once it arrived yesterday evening, he had Assistant Nash deliver it first thing in the morning.

The incident that night was ultimately something he owed her.

He spoke casually, "Is your leg healing?"

"Mostly, it’s started to scab." Sienna asked, "And your injuries? How are they?"

"No problem." Sebastian replied succinctly, paused for a few seconds, then cautioned, "This Scar Removal Cream should be used sparingly by those pregnant, once every two days, and not in excess at a time."

Surprised by his words, Sienna froze momentarily, sensing a hint of probing.

As expected, he had guessed that night.

Not caught off guard, she candidly admitted, "Speaking of that day at the hospital, I must thank Lawyer Prescott for helping me out. I’m not really pregnant, just wanted to keep Caleb and my mother-in-law at bay."

Sebastian had suspected from her subtle reactions that day but hearing her outright denial eased a tension-held place within him for days.

Sienna continued, "Also... I’d need Lawyer Prescott to keep this confidential; it can’t reach Caleb and his mother for now."

Sebastian casually nodded, "You’re here today because...?"

Before he could finish speaking, Assistant Nash returned with a cup of tea and a cup of black coffee.

Sebastian took a sip of his coffee, patiently awaiting her to explain further.

Sienna wasn’t one to beat around the bush and directly asked, "Do you know Harrison Hayes well?"

Raising an eyebrow, Sebastian considered for a second before setting his cup down, "Fairly well."

"How is he doing now?"

"After what he went through, he’s become more reserved," Sebastian sensed her roundabout intentions, "Miss Morgan, you might as well speak directly."
