Chapter 61: Chapter 61: Scar Removal Cream

The night wind was desolate and piercing, with a few stars scattered in the black sky.

As they left the hospital, Caleb Sinclair led her directly to the car.

He turned on the heater and handed Sienna Monroe the heated pad kept in the car, tightly grasping her cold fingers, "It’s minus two degrees tonight. Where’s your coat? Why are you wearing Sebastian Prescott’s coat?"

Sienna stared at him intently.

His concern and anxiety for her were evident in his tone, attitude, and actions.

She knew Caleb was annoyed and suspicious about her seemingly close relationship with Sebastian Prescott, but his first reaction was not to question, but to worry about her.

She suppressed the slight emotion that shouldn’t have arisen, a bitterness spreading gradually in her mouth.

"Tonight, I wanted to buy some orchids at Bloom & Blossom on Midvale Road. When I passed Vantage Parking Garage, I happened to hear the sounds of a fight and saw Sebastian Prescott fighting with a man dressed in black. The man had a weapon, so I got scared and called the police."

As for the later incident involving sulfuric acid, she only mentioned that Sebastian Prescott saved her and that the coat was splattered with acid and was thrown away.

The more Caleb listened, the deeper his frown became, and he involuntarily tightened his grip on her hand, his voice laced with strong reprimand, "Reckless! That was sulfuric acid, and you dared to go up and save someone?"

"You’re pregnant now. What if Sebastian Prescott had been a little bit slower to react and that acid had splashed on you? What would be the consequences? He’s a grown man. Does he need a woman to save him?"

Caleb’s tone grew harsher, and his breathing became rapid, "I don’t care about what happens to Sebastian, and it has nothing to do with me, but you and the child are my life. I can’t be without you both!"

His expression was so genuine and sincere.

Sienna was momentarily disoriented, the handsome and gentle face before her seemed to overlap with the spirited young man from years ago.

The one who loved her as if his life depended on it, patient and attentive in all things, his heart filled entirely with her.

Now it seemed like a fleeting dream, something she couldn’t grasp, only watching helplessly as it flew away.

Ultimately, it was Caleb squeezing her nose that snapped her back to reality, "Sweetheart, why do you keep spacing out lately? Did you hear what I just said? Don’t take your life lightly. Is Sebastian worth risking your life for?"

She slowly smiled, "Okay, I got it. I won’t do it again in the future..."

"You still want a future?" Caleb frowned, "From now on, you must keep your distance from Sebastian, avoid excessive contact. Why has he achieved so much in just a few years in the legal field since graduation? I don’t deny his abilities, but it’s precisely because of his abilities that the biggest issue it brings him is danger!"

"He’s offended too many people, and it’s only because he has the Prescott Family’s backing that many don’t dare to mess with him. He’s not someone with a good temper. People can be unpredictable, and we can’t foresee everything. Being close to him isn’t a good thing."

But Sienna was oblivious, repeatedly chewing over his words "people can be unpredictable."

Indeed.

Caleb understood this principle.

Looking into his gentle and caring eyes, Sienna suddenly felt it all so ironic.

She looked away, responding softly, "It’s just a coincidence. Isn’t it the same with you and Vivian Nash?"

Caleb paused, then smiled helplessly, "Still jealous? Fine. I’ll also keep my distance from her, further away, alright?"

Sienna huffed, "That’s more like it. I’m tired, let’s go home."

The night scene outside the car window was dazzling, beams of light leaping into her calm and distant eyes, stirring no ripples.

*

Sienna’s injuries weren’t severe. After two days of recovery at home, walking wasn’t as painful, so she planned to visit the art gallery.

But Caleb disagreed, insisting that she rest for another two days at home before he allowed her to go out.

On the day she went to the art gallery, Imperial City welcomed the first snowfall of winter, snowflakes swirling and falling all around.

Sienna paused for a moment in the courtyard before stepping into the car.

Upon arriving at the art gallery, Nora Joyce came up to greet her, "Director, a Mr. Nie came by more than ten minutes ago and left this for you."

Sienna stopped in her tracks, puzzled, and opened the bag to find a small jar.

It was Scar Removal Cream.

Nie?

If she remembered correctly, Sebastian Prescott’s assistant’s last name was Nie.

Could it be...

Before she could think much further, a notification sound from her phone interrupted.

[In the Radiance Beauty Spa’s socialite training class, there’s a girl named Cecilia York, 22 years old, standing at 1.68 meters. With meticulous planning by June Ewing, Cecilia York made the acquaintance of Harrison Hayes last night.]
