Chapter 59: Chapter 59: You Two Didn’t Just Happen to Run Into Each Other Again, Did You?

The nighttime temperature in winter was already almost below zero, with the highest only being a few degrees, and the wind had been strong these past few days.

Vivian Nash surprisingly stood in the cold wind for over an hour in an attempt to win Caleb Sinclair back, and insisted on coming to work despite being ill today.

Sienna Monroe thought of the frail, wind-ready-to-topple appearance of Vivian Nash she saw today.

She tugged her lips in mockery.

She truly does have a lot of dedication.

Something seemed to cover Sienna Monroe’s heart, suffocating her slightly, with a hint of pain.

Caleb Sinclair’s heart was ultimately still occupied by Vivian Nash to some extent; upon hearing she was at the hospital, he couldn’t harden his heart and actually came over to accompany her.

This hospital’s emergency department?

She had never been to this hospital, looked around and didn’t know where the direction of the emergency department was.

Just as she was about to withdraw her gaze, she unexpectedly found Sebastian Prescott, who she didn’t know when he came back, standing right in front of her, "What are you looking at?"

"Nothing." Sienna Monroe looked up, smiled gently, took the slip from his hand, and glanced at it, "Where to apply the medicine?"

"Emergency department."

A hint of surprise flashed in Sienna Monroe’s eyes; she was just thinking of finding an excuse to go to the emergency room later.

What a coincidence.

As she was about to get up, she suddenly noticed the wound on his left arm, much larger than the one on her ankle; she had been standing on his right side, even when in the car, completely unaware of his arm injury.

At the time, the situation was urgent, and in order to avoid the acid, he embraced her with great force.

She only got a minor injury on her foot, entirely due to Sebastian Prescott cushioning underneath.

"Besides your arm, are there other injuries on your body?" Sienna Monroe frowned, instinctively grabbing his arm and taking a look at the wound, "You’re so seriously injured, why haven’t you said a word? Doesn’t it hurt?"

Sebastian Prescott lowered his eyelids, his deep and dim eyes reflecting her charming and beautiful face, and unconsciously pursed his thin lips, retracting his hand.

The voice remained very calm and cold, "It’s nothing, I’ll disinfect and apply medicine later. Let’s go, to the emergency department."

Sienna Monroe saw the two registration slips in his hand, nodded, and slowly stood up; Sebastian Prescott’s hand naturally supported her arm.

"How about you? No injuries?"

Sebastian Prescott gave her a cold glance; when he fell, he bore her entirely, although he consciously used his hand to cushion the force, now the scapula and the right side of his back showed evident pain.

Supposedly injured.

He didn’t speak, just supported the limping Sienna Monroe slowly heading towards the emergency department.

Sienna Monroe waited for his answer but didn’t continue to ask.

He’s grown up, knows where the injuries are and how to handle them.

Upon arriving at the emergency department, she scanned the area without seeing the two familiar figures.

The city’s hospital emergency department is quite large, with thirty beds, divided into severity zones, and includes a resuscitation zone.

Not every hospital bed is occupied, most are empty.

Among them, seven or eight curtains were drawn.

She pursed her lips, had to wait to handle the injuries before looking further.

She withdrew her gaze just as a nurse came over, arranging them to sit on one of the hospital beds.

The curtain was drawn, the nurse prepared medication while instructing her to roll up her pants, upon which she found out her knees had skinned.

Minor injuries, not serious.

The disinfectant seeped into her skin, the strong piercing pain made her involuntarily shake her leg.

"Don’t move, straighten out." The nurse reminded.

Sienna Monroe was actually quite afraid of pain.

As a child, due to illness and needing injections, her parents didn’t know how much effort they put into her.

She silently inhaled, slowly exhaling, and straightened her leg.

The wound, with blood beads on her straight and slender legs, appeared conspicuous; Sebastian Prescott frowned slightly, taking a glance before turning away.

Sienna Monroe’s two injuries on her leg were not severe, treated in a few minutes.

The nurse applied the bandages, advising, "These two areas, try to avoid water these days; walk slower, best to rest more, apply medicine once daily, disinfect once daily; in two to three days, they’ll start scabbing, itching as they heal, don’t scratch with hands, bear with it."

"Alright, thank you." Sienna Monroe replied softly.

The nurse then turned to look at this handsome man, with a straight posture beside her, knowing he had a girlfriend, she dared not stare for long, withdrew her gaze, while preparing new cotton swabs asked, "Sit down, where are you hurt?"

Sebastian Prescott paused for two seconds, instinctively looked at Sienna Monroe.

Sienna Monroe noticed his gaze and asked cluelessly, "What’s wrong?"

Sebastian Prescott didn’t say anything, paused for two seconds, and began unbuttoning his shirt. Within seconds, he had taken off his shirt, revealing his firm arms and chest.

Sienna Monroe was immediately stunned.

She seemed to understand what that look in his eyes meant just now.

Sebastian Prescott’s skin was quite fair, but not the icy kind of white. Compared to Sienna Monroe’s complexion, his was two or three shades darker, with tight skin, a sexy and smooth v-line, and defined abs.

Broad shoulders, narrow waist, a prominent Adam’s apple, and a small black mole below the right collarbone.

Normally, Caleb Sinclair also liked to work out; his physique wasn’t bad either. Sienna Monroe pressed her lips together and was about to look away when she spotted the injuries on his back.

There was a very noticeable bruise on the right shoulder blade with several scars on it.

The most severe injuries were on the lower back, near the waist side, and on the forearm.

She immediately frowned.

"What on earth happened between you two? Car crash? Why is it so serious?" The nurse gasped and didn’t even have the mood to admire his physique, "Come on, let’s disinfect. The area is quite large, it’ll hurt a bit, bear with it. Hold onto your boyfriend’s hand, make sure he doesn’t move."

Boyfriend?

Sienna Monroe opened her mouth, and the nurse had already prepared everything. She subconsciously looked towards Sebastian Prescott, who happened to look back at her.

Their eyes met in the middle.

All emotions vanished and were hidden in that instant.

Sebastian Prescott still explained, his voice faint and emotionless, "We’re not boyfriend and girlfriend."

Sienna Monroe naturally responded calmly, "Just friends."

"No need to hold."

Hearing this, Sienna Monroe’s outstretched hand paused, said nothing, and withdrew.

The nurse saw his calm expression, was taken aback, so they’re not a couple after all.

She gently reminded, "But it’ll hurt."

"Mm."

The nurse saw his unchanged expression, steadily holding up his arm, and began pouring disinfectant on the wound.

Sienna Monroe paid special attention to his expression, and he genuinely didn’t flinch, not even blinking. Noticing her staring, he lifted his eyelids slightly and glanced over.

"Hold onto your girlfriend’s hand, this is the fourth time the needle missed. The swelling hasn’t gone down. Later, I won’t know where to insert it."

Suddenly, a nurse’s exasperated voice came from behind the opposite curtain.

Sienna Monroe didn’t care much, wondering which curtain Caleb Sinclair and Vivian Nash were behind, when a familiar voice sounded.

The woman’s tone was weak and aggrieved, "I’m really sorry to trouble you, but my head hurts so much. Could you help me with some painkillers?"

The nurse was speechless, "I’ll first go ask Dr. Warren if he can prescribe some painkillers. If he can, ask your boyfriend to pay and then pick them up from the pharmacy. Be sure to drink plenty of water, don’t cover too tightly with a quilt; you still have two bottles to go, and it’s slow, it’ll take at least one or two hours."

"Okay, thank you." A deep male voice replied, "I’ll go with you."

Sienna Monroe stiffened.

It was Vivian Nash and Caleb Sinclair’s voices.

Even Sebastian Prescott clearly recognized their voices, his brows unconsciously raised slightly, those narrow and deep phoenix eyes once again fell on Sienna Monroe.

Hearing the curtain open on the opposite side, Sienna Monroe pressed down her emotions and calmly opened the curtain on their side.

Upon hearing the sound, Caleb Sinclair and the pale-faced Vivian Nash, hooked up to the IV, instinctively looked over.

Caleb Sinclair immediately froze. Seeing Sienna Monroe, a panic quickly surged in his eyes, his face suddenly turned a shade paler, and he subconsciously muttered, "Wife..." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Vivian Nash was also very surprised, but upon seeing the equally bare-chested Sebastian Prescott on the hospital bed, a look of schadenfreude excitement and eager anticipation flashed across her weak face.

She hoped this fragile layer would be broken by Sienna Monroe personally.

She couldn’t wait to see Sienna Monroe ask Caleb Sinclair why he cheated and her pained and despairing expression in utter disbelief.

It would be very exciting.

Sienna Monroe took two steps forward, her lips with a faint smile, but her eyes cold. "What a coincidence. You two didn’t happen to bump into each other again, did you?"

Embarrassment flashed in Caleb Sinclair’s eyes, but his expression quickly returned to normal. He hurried over to grab her hand, "Wife, it’s definitely not what you think, we..."

"What do I think?" Sienna Monroe pulled her hand back, pointing at the nurse, her eyes red, "I clearly heard her call you her boyfriend just now."

Seeing her blood-red eyes, Caleb Sinclair’s heart ached, and he hurriedly went to grab her hand again, gently explaining, "She misunderstood. We explained to a nurse before, don’t cry, wife."

His peripheral vision caught Sebastian Prescott, shirtless, having medication applied, and his gaze instantly darkened, his brows furrowed, and his facial expression dimmed considerably.

Sienna Monroe didn’t care about his gaze, continuing on her own, "Is that so? Then why are you in the hospital? I refuse to believe there are so many coincidences that just happen to involve you two. Last time at the restaurant, now at the hospital, how do you explain?"
