Goddess of Ice; Reborn as Naruto's twin sister-Chapter 496: Team Tsundere
Chapter 496: Team Tsundere
Simultaneously, on an other battlefield deep in the desert, a somewhat unusual conflict for this war occurred. Unlike most battles, Obito’s troops were actually much lower in number than the Great Shinobi Alliance’s.
While the Great Shinobi Alliance and amassed over 10000 people on this battlefield, Obito had a mere four people. However, those four people were oozing enough pressure to intimidate many shinobi from the alliance.
These four were the reanimations of the Third Raikage, Second Tsuchikage, Fourth Kazekage, and Second Mizukage.
While the Third Kazekage, Rasa, could be held back by Gaara, his son, and the Second Tsuchikage could be held back by Oonoki, the Third, there was no one to stop the Third Raikage, A, and Second Mizukage, Gengetsu Hoozuki.
Gaara’s sand and Rasa’s gold dust were constantly colliding and intermixing. Both of them had very similar fighting styles, with the exception that they were using different materials.
Meanwhile, Oonoki and Gengetsu were in a similar situation as both of them could use Particle Style, an incredibly powerful Kekkei Tota. While a normal Kekkai Genkai was the combination of two elements, a Kekkei Tota was the combination of three, making it almost unblockable.
On the other hand, Gengetsu appeared to be more or less playing with the shinobi forces as he patiently tried to explain how his jutsus worked, with no one being the smarter after he finished his explanation.
It was something about him being an illusion, so they had to destroy a gigantic clam summon, but when they tried to do so, it turned out that the clam they saw was an illusion as well, confusing everyone immensely.
And finally, A was fighting a tall man holding a massive sword. A’s clenched fist flew towards the swordsman, causing him to slash his chakra-covered sword down, colling with the attack. An enormous explosion occurred, causing the swordsman to groan while sending him sliding back a few meters.
As soon as the swordsman separated from A, a barrage of jutsu crashed into A, making the swordsman grimace. He wasn’t exactly a man of honor, but having hundreds of shinobi helping him against a single man hurt his pride a little.
A walked out of the dust cloud without a single scratch on his body, showing how ridiculously hard it was to wound him.
He looked at his fist and noticed a small nick in his skin, impressing him greatly. He briefly wondered why the wound wasn’t healing like it was the case with the other Edo Tensei but decided that it did not matter.
“Who are you, swordsman?”
The swordsman crouched down, getting in a combat stance. He couldn’t help but feel some pride due to the Third Raikage asking for his name. A wasn’t some random Kage-level powerhouse; he was one of the strongest Kage of all time, probably only surpassed by Hashirama Senju himself.
“Zabuza Momochi, Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and Chief Combat Instructor of the Uzumaki clan.”
That’s right, the person who was currently holding back the Raikage was no other than Zabuza. He had clashed with the Raikage dozens of times by now, and he could feel his limit slowly approaching. A was not someone he could fight against for an extended period of time.
Meanwhile, A wondered why someone from the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist was an instructor at the Uzumaki clan, but it didn’t matter to him. Someone with these titles was worthy of him getting serious. And so, he loosened his fist and stretched out four of his finger, significantly increasing the chakra density and making Zabuza gulp.
‘Well, damn. I’m done for.’
He concentrated even more chakra in his sword despite these thoughts and prepared himself for the clash. And moments later, the Raikage vanished from his position.
Dozen of earth walls rose between the Raikage and Zabuza, but A smashed through them like they were made out of paper and appeared in front of Zabuza not even a second later, stabbing forwards with four fingers.
Zabuza roared loudly as he slashed his sword down, colliding with A’s attack and causing another loud explosion. At the start, the clash was about even, but a few seconds in, A reduced the number of fingers to three, making Zabuza sweat.
A few more seconds later, Zabuza could no longer push any further, and his sword was smashed away, making him pale.
Zabuza smiled sadly as A’s three fingers were slowly approaching his chest.
‘Is this how I go down? Oh well, I guess falling against someone like the Third Raikage is not a bad death. I just wish I could have said goodbye to Haku.’
He was just about to close his eyes and accept his death when he felt something in the atmosphere change.
‘It’s suddenly getting much colder…’
*BOOM*
Before Zabuza could fully understand what was going on, an ice pillar burst out of the ground just in front of Zabuza’s feet and smashed into A, sending him flying before he could hit Zabuza with his attack.
“Why are you giving up like that, fath…*cough* Zabuza-sama? This isn’t like you.”
Zabuza’s eyes widened as his head snapped towards the source of the voice, where he could see his beloved dau… *cough* weapon, yes, definitely his weapon.
“Haku, what are you doing here? Weren’t you supposed to bait out that Obito guy?”
Haku appeared next to Zabuza and nodded her head.
“Yes, and we managed to do so. Unfortunately, Black Zetsu appeared and gave him a report, causing him to run away.”
“*Tsk* What a cockroach.”
Haku nodded in agreement as her gaze fell on the slowly approaching Raikage. Yet again, there were no wounds on his body.
“What was pretty good, little girl. If I wasn’t reanimated, I might have actually felt some pain from that.”
As soon as he finished speaking, he reduced the number of fingers to two, causing Zabuza and Haku to get serious.
“Let’s fight him together, fa… *cough* Zabuza-sama.”
“Yes, let’s seal this monster away, dau…*cough* Haku.”
