Global Gods : Skill-Resonance Awakened-Chapter 354: Ch : The Eternal Bound
In the absolute zero of the void, Sunny remained suspended, his cosmic body a silhouette of swirling nebulae against the velvet dark.
Before him, the description of Belial’s title hung in the air like a glowing ledger of sins.
[Title: The Lord of the Lies]
[Grade: SSS-Grade]
[Ability 1: Conceptual Immortality. As long as the concept of Deception and Lie exists within reality, the user cannot truly perish. Each lie told by a sentient being serves as fuel for the user’s soul.]
[Ability 2: Semantic Resonance. As the Lord of Lies, every use of the Law of Lies is enhanced by five times.]
[Ability 3: The Eternal Bound. You are the creation of ######. Until it commands, you shall forever remain, even if no soul speaks a lie; even if the concept of deception vanishes from the multiverse, you shall persist.]
[Ability 4: Blood of the False Creator. A fragment of the Creator’s command over life flows in your veins. You may expend your essence to manifest a legion of demonic beings, each imbued with a fraction of your skills.]
Sunny stared at the list, his eyes narrowing behind his mask. He had underestimated the depth of a Demon Lord once again.
He had initially assumed that the title was merely a badge, a simple grant of conceptual immortality. But the reality was far more complex and far more sinister.
The fivefold enhancement was a terrifying force multiplier, explaining why Belial’s simple words could overwrite Sunny’s the laws in Sunny’s Domain.
The ability to spawn an army from his own blood made Belial a one-man apocalypse. But it was Ability 3 that made Sunny’s skin crawl.
"This isn’t an ability," Sunny whispered, his voice vibrating with a hollow resonance. "It’s a curse."
True immortality, divorced from the concept that birthed it, was a fate worse than any hell. If the concept of lies were to vanish, Belial would not die; he would become an empty vessel, an eternal prisoner of a reality that no longer had a place for him.
He would exist as a crushed, broken thing even if his body were ground into atomic dust, unable to find the mercy of oblivion because his Creator hadn’t given him permission to cease.
"Is this really a title," Sunny wondered, "or a shackle placed upon them by a master who fears their independence?"
He thought back to Adam’s status. The Ex-God King’s profile was clean, like spring water. There were no hidden ’Eternal Bounds,’ and no hidden creator. Adam was created by Void Mother, whereas Belial was a gilded puppet on a very short string.
"My guess was right," Sunny thought, his mind racing. "The Void Mother didn’t create the demons. They are the engineered tools of an entity evil enough to trap its own children in an eternal loop of suffering just to ensure its own influence. And that entity... is the one Lom serves."
A cold, logical satisfaction settled over him. "And the best part is... I can’t copy it."
His innate talent, Skill-Resonance, allowed him to mimic the talents of others, the specialized tools they had honed through experience or birth.
But a Title was a fundamental piece of the user’s identity, a contract with a specific Creator.
"I wouldn’t have copied it even if I could," Sunny said with a dry chuckle.
"Who in their right mind would willingly put on a shackle? This title offers me close to nothing that I don’t already possess in a superior form."
He began to mentally tick off his own advantages. "I have Divine Immortality, which doesn’t rely on the ’sins’ of others to function."
"I don’t need a fivefold buff to a Law of Lies because I don’t intend to build my empire on deception."
"And the Blood of Creation? I possess Manifestation Affinity. Why would I want a crappy, second-hand copy of life-weaving when I can manifest the real thing?"
Sunny swiped his hand, closing the interface of Belial’s title. The violet-gold light faded, leaving him once again in the comforting darkness.
"In short, the big shot didn’t have anything worthwhile," Sunny said, his voice echoing with a hearty, confident laugh. "It’s time to return to my classic treasure trove."
He sat cross-legged in the vacuum, his body perfectly still. He began to channel his consciousness inward, not toward the worlds he had captured, but toward the golden thread of connection he shared with his subjects. He focused on a single name, a single soul-signature that felt as sturdy as an ancient tree: Adam.
Sunny’s consciousness flowed through the internal multiverse with a pace that felt unreal.
Because Adam was now physically housed within Sunny’s soul-space, residing in the captured City of Gods, the distance between them was effectively zero.
In a heartbeat, Sunny’s perspective shifted. He found himself looking at the familiar, vast landscape of Adam’s soul.
He didn’t announce his presence; he entered with the quietness of a ghost, moving through the layers of the King’s essence.
"He truly is a treasure trove," Sunny murmured.
He didn’t hesitate. He reached directly for the God’s eyes talent. From its usage during the battle with Belial, Sunny knew its potential.
Even though he already possessed God’s eyes, some information about his enemies still remained hidden, if he could evolve it to Divine, maybe he could gain even more information on his enemies, or it could even tell weakness of his enemies.
As he prepared to initiate the Resonance, Sunny saw something new. Now that he had assimilated more than half of the Nihilium bloodline, he could see the hidden mechanics of his own power.
He saw the law threads of Skill-Resonance. He didn’t know the exact name of the Law yet, but the threads were titanic, thicker and more luminous than the threads of the Law of Lies he had seen Belial use.
These threads reached out and coiled around the talent sphere of God’s eyes, mimicking its vibration, law and aura.
"I see..." Sunny whispered, fascinated. "It doesn’t just copy the talent; it copies the very Laws that create the talent. And because my law threads are fundamentally superior to the threads of the talent that I copy, the talent I acquire is enhanced from the moment of its birth."
But then a question formed in his mind, ’why was his talent linked with timeline of his territory’
"The more I think, the more I realize I don’t know," Sunny said, shaking his head. "I should let time handle the mysteries. For now, I should focus on my growth."
His consciousness snapped back into his physical body. The transition was seamless, but he felt different.
There was a new layer of clarity in his eyes, a feeling that he hadn’t felt before.
"Let’s see the harvest," Sunny whispered.
He activated his new God’s Eye, focusing the golden glow on his own status window. A massive, scrolling list appeared in front of him, shimmering with the weight of his accumulated power.
"Oh... there are quite a few new entries," Sunny whispered, his eyes widening as he scrolled through his talent bar.
