Global Awakening: Infinite Gift Pack System-Chapter 97: The New Weapon
Kai was extremely frustrated.
They barely had any time to use the Energy Cores they had gathered after looting the Field Tyrant, Spyders, and Sentinels.
Then, when they returned, they were attacked by mutated humans... some creatures or existences the system had never even mentioned before.
He still wanted to study these unknown creatures, but now there was no time. They were already facing the threat of annihilation.
Whom~
The ground shook again. Thesilhouette of the Field Tyrant grew closer. Its mechanical body was creaking with every step.
"Wallace!" Kai shouted from below the ramparts. "Get Atom’s ammunition!"
Wallace didn’t hesitate. He sprinted along the wall, heading toward the storage where the heavy blocks of metal were kept. Each block wasn’t massive, but they were heavy so he had others to help him as well.
They were designed specifically for Atom’s special rifle. They weren’t easy to carry, even Wallace grunted as he lifted two of them. Then, with the help of the others, nine bullets were taken and six of them were given to Atom.
The A-Grade Sentinel quickly moved and then loaded six ammunition. One by one, the blocks slid into place, locking into the chamber of the rifle with a heavy clunk.
Atom’s rifle was ready again with six shots prepared.
As for the three remaining bullets, Kai quickly opened his system inventory. He had space for three more slots he stored them immediately. They were too heavy to carry by hand, but the inventory system made it possible to keep them on standby.
"Two Assault Teams, support Atom!" Kai ordered. "Keep the pressure on the Tyrant. Don’t let it get close to the walls!"
The teams moved into position with their revolvers raised...
"Atom, destroy that Tyrant! We will be supporting you!" Kai said.
Even without replying, Atom understood the instruction.
It stepped forward as its sensors locked onto the advancing Field Tyrant.
As they got closer, Kai noticed something unusual.
"Hmm?"
This Tyrant wasn’t pristine. Its armor was scarred, riddled with bullet holes, scorch marks, and dents. It looked like it had already been through a massive battle. Its movements were slower, and its mechanical frame seemed slightly unstable.
Kai’s frustration eased for a moment. "It’s damaged," he muttered.
"We can take this one." He was confident that they had the advantage!
He raised his hand. "Atom! Engage!"
The A‑Grade Sentinel obeyed instantly. Its rifle was triggered and the first block of metal was fired.
Boom!
The projectile was heavy, so even if it didn’t have gunpowder, it could be terrifying!
Thud!
This chunk of steel was propelled with devastating force! It slammed into the Tyrant’s chest, tearing through weakened plating and leaving a crater in its armor.
The Tyrant paused after being hit, but it kept advancing. Its furnace vents just started spewing smoke as if it were angry!
’What are you planning to do now?’ Kai thought as he decided not to give Atom a specific order to fight against it.
Atom won against the perfectly uninjured Tyrant before. Now, it even has the support of all the Assault Teams!
Bang!
Soon, Atom’s second shot ripped into the Tyrant’s shoulder, shredding gears and sending sparks flying everywhere!
At this point, the Assault Teams opened fire at the same time, peppering the machine with smaller rounds.
They couldn’t pierce its core armor, but they added pressure, forcing the Tyrant to slow down at the very least!
The massive machine raised its arm with its a cannon charging with energy.
"Scatter!" Kai shouted.
Boom~
A beam of plasma tore through the ground, scorching the earth where the survivors had stood seconds earlier. Dirt and debris exploded upward, but no one was hit.
’That weapon must be destroyed!’ Kai thought as he wanted to command Atom to destroy it.
However, even without his instruction, the third block of metal was fired and it smashed into the Tyrant’s arm.
Bang!
The mounted cannon cracked with its barrel bending under the impact...
"Yes!" Wallace shouted from the wall. "It’s working!"
The Tyrant’s furnace or core then started glowing brighter. It seemed to be planning to do a huge move!
However, Atom fired again, and the fourth shot slammed into its leg!
The massive machine stumbled, one knee collapsing under the force. The ground shook as it fell partially forward, struggling to rise.
"Haha! This is easy! Kill it now!" Terrence and others then joined the fight, and even if their revolvers weren’t doing much, they were still able to do some little damage to it.
The fifth shot tore into its exposed back, ripping through damaged armor. Flames burst from its vents, and smoke began pouring into the air.
Just like that, the Assault Teams concentrated their fire, targeting the weakened areas.
The Tyrant tried to retaliate, swinging its other arm...
Then, something unexpected happened. It was something that they did not see on the other Field Tyrant!
Four missiles were actually launched, streaking toward the wall of the shelter!
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The missiles hit the walls of the shelter, destroying a huge part of it... As for whether someone was killed, Kai had no idea!
Kai clenched his fist. "One more shot. Atom, finish it!"
The sixth block of metal fired, the projectile screaming through the air.
Thud...
It struck the Tyrant’s furnace directly, piercing the weakened core.
For a moment, silence. Then, the furnace erupted.
Boom!
The explosion ripped through the Tyrant’s body, tearing it apart from the inside...
Everyone could see the flames spewing from its vents, and soon, the Tyrant finally collapsed!
The massive machine fell forward, crashing into the ground with a deafening impact.

Kai dismissed the notification for now, his mind focused on the people stationed along the wall.
Those four missiles may have been small, but the damage they caused was undeniable.
Everyone stood tense, nervously waiting for the smoke to clear.
For several moments, the battlefield was silent except for the crackle of fire and the shifting rubble.
The survivors braced themselves, expecting to see collapsed barricades and the lifeless bodies of their companions.
But as the haze began to lift, their eyes widened in shock.
