"Vital Capsule… It's really working… Just what kind of technology is this?!" one of the healers exclaimed, as she couldn't contain her excitement.

The chamber was suddenly filled with murmurs as the other medical practitioners leaned closer to the capsule to see what was going on…

Some of them, on the other hand, had their eyes stuck on the readings appearing on the screen beside it.

Just like that, they watched the blue liquid inside the capsule pulse rhythmically, almost synchronizing with Alora's heartbeat.

In just a few moments, the black lines on her skin faded steadily, something none of them had ever seen before.

"This is amazing," another whispered. "We've used every potion, every serum, every mana blessing we know. None of them could suppress a Lord‑tier infection like this. And yet… this capsule is purging it."

An elven healer pressed her hand against the glass and nodded…

"That's true. It's not just healing her body. I can feel it… It's burning away the harmful energy itself. That's not medicine. I believe that's something beyond alchemy."

A human doctor shook his head in disbelief. "I thought this was only meant to accelerate wound recovery. Weeks of healing compressed into minutes… But this is purging powerful toxins, stabilizing the Aura, and even suppressing the necrotic energy from a Lord Tier? This is far beyond what we were told."

Another practitioner muttered, "If possible, I want to stay and study here… Cryochambers in New Genesis can preserve life, but they don't heal. This… this is different. We should know more about this, and maybe we can produce more of them later on… or even sell them to large clans."

Anna helplessly smiled at their reactions, but her eyes were fixed on the console.

Well, she had seen the Vital Capsule in action once before, but even she hadn't expected this level of response.

"Cloud's upgrades… they weren't just improvements. This A.I. must have rewritten the capsule's core functions. It's not just a simple medical device anymore… I can feel it."

As expected, the elves exchanged glances. They also couldn't hide their desire to obtain this device...

"If this can purge even the harmful energy… then it can fight corruption itself. This could change everything about how we treat infections, curses, even Aura distortions."

One of the younger healers agreed. However, he was worried about something else.

'It feels like we're watching a miracle. But miracles always have a price. What if the capsule fails halfway? What if it destabilizes her Aura completely?'

Of course, he didn't voice it out and didn't want to appear pessimistic about this matter.

Soon, the room fell quiet again as they watched Alora's chest rise and fall, her face started relaxing for the first time since the battle.

Without a doubt, the capsule was doing its job to save their beloved companion…

One of the elven healers whispered softly, almost reverently, "This is the first time I've seen technology surpass mana. It's… humbling."

Another nodded. "If this spreads to other shelters, if more capsules are built… we might finally have a weapon against zombification itself."

Anna allowed herself a small smile as she heard their conversation.

Just like that, the Vital Capsule continued to hum softly as it continued to heal Alora.

Unfortunately, no one knew how long the process would take. The readings were promising, but the infection was unlike anything they had ever faced.

"We'll need someone here at all times," Anna said firmly as she looked at the group.

"If anything changes, I want immediate reports."

The healers nodded.

A schedule was quickly arranged. One healer would guard the chamber for five to six hours before rotating with another.

It wasn't just about monitoring Alora's condition… it was about protecting her. The Vital Capsule was too valuable, and Alora was also too important, to leave unattended.

With the rotation decided, the others slowly filed out of the chamber to return…

However, not everyone returned to Eclipse Domain immediately.

Among the elves, two had stayed. They were Eudora and Cici.

They exchanged glances, silently agreeing that they weren't ready to leave just yet.

"Blue Haven Shelter…" Cici murmured, her eyes filled with curiosity. "This is port town, right? I want to see it for myself. I want to explore the place for a bit. I'm done with my work anyway."

Eudora smiled faintly. "Then let's explore. We've earned a little peace after everything."

Together, they stepped out of the medical building. The moment they crossed the threshold, the scent of salt and sea breeze reached them.

It was faint, carried on the wind, but unmistakable. The ocean was near…

"It's been so long since I smelled the sea," Eudora whispered, closing her eyes for a moment.

"It's still a walk before we reach the shore," Cici replied, stretching her arms.

"Let's enjoy the shelter first."

It was their first time here since they didn't really have a reason to visit this shelter. However, now that they realized it, they couldn't help but feel regret that they only came today!

They began their walk through Blue Haven. The streets were filled with people. It was bustling, far different from other shelters.

Here, peddlers lined the roads, and their stalls were even overflowing with goods. Survivors bartered loudly as they negotiated for a good price.

"Ohhh… They also have Zeustify Coffee shop here…" Cici commented after seeing the corner shop…

"They have branched out… Well, it's not surprising." Eudora muttered.

Without a doubt, their warm aromas drift into the streets.

Survivors sat at small tables, sipping steaming cups, and started laughing softly as if the apocalypse outside didn't exist.

For a moment, Eudora and Cici felt like they had stepped into a world untouched by ruin.

But reminders of reality were everywhere.

They arrived at the area filled with weapons shops that displayed blades, crossbows, and enchanted gear.

Soon, they also found signs that advertised "Zombie‑tested steel" and "Guaranteed Aura‑resistant armor."

Then, there were posters warning about infection risks, urging survivors to carry antidote vials at all times. The apocalypse was never far from mind.

Still, the shelter had a vibrancy that Eclipse Domain lacked.

Some street musicians played faint tunes, some children moved around between stalls, and the sound of the sea waves…

Then, something caught their attention.

"Look at that," Cici whispered, tugging Eudora's sleeve.

They stopped before a small stall located between two weapon shops. Unlike the others, this one didn't sell food, tools, or survival gear.

Instead, it glittered with color.

Jewelry! 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Necklaces of silver and gold, rings set with polished stones, bracelets that basically glowing in the light. The peddler, an older woman with kind eyes, smiled as she arranged her wares.

"This… this isn't in Eclipse Domain," Eudora said softly, her eyes wide.

Cici leaned closer, her fingers hovering over a delicate necklace. "Most shelters sell clothes, food, weapons… but jewelry? This is rare."

The peddler chuckled. "Survival isn't just about fighting. Sometimes, it's about remembering beauty. About feeling human again."

Of course, they were elves, but they understood what he meant.

Eudora and Cici exchanged glances.

They had fought for months, and their lives had been consumed by many battles, Aura training, and endless survival.

But here, in this stall, they felt something different. A reminder that they were more than warriors.

They then stayed for a while, trying on rings and bracelets, laughing softly as they admired themselves in a small mirror.

"I want this one," Cici said, holding up a silver bracelet etched with various enchantments.

"It makes me feel… alive."

Eudora smiled, slipping a necklace around her neck. "And this one. Maybe it's foolish, but… I want to look beautiful again."

The peddler's smile deepened. "Not foolish at all. Even in the darkest times, beauty has its place. Perhaps more than ever."

For a while, they forgot about the sea.

They forgot about the infection and the battle against the Zombies…

They were simply two elves, enjoying the sparkle of jewelry.

As they walked off after paying with Mana Crystals, the two continued with their conversation.

"Do you think…" Cici hesitated while her cheeks started flushing. "Do you think we'll ever find partners? Someone to share this life with?"

Eudora laughed softly, though her eyes were wistful.

"Maybe. I heard that you mentioned that you didn't mind partnering with a human… I'm sure you already have someone in mind."

Cici paused as she couldn't hide it.

Well, she really would appreciate a partner since every day could be their last in this Zombie Apocalypse…

Eventually, they found other jewelry vendors and purchased a few pieces before putting them carefully away.

Finally, they resumed their walk to see the ocean…

It didn't take that long before Eudora and Cici finally reached the shoreline.

The steady crash of waves greeted them, and the sand stretched out under their boots...

"This feels good..." "This feels good," Cici said plainly, watching the waves push and pull.

"Yes! Maybe we can stay here for a few more days... It's been a long time since we've seen the sea like this."

The two laughed as they appreciated the simple sight... the rolling water, the salty breeze, and all.

But as they looked farther out, their attention shifted. On the horizon, five silhouettes of ships were moving steadily toward them!
