Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle-Chapter 1120: The Solution
Hours later, they finally reached the Eclipse Domain.
Of course, the Survivors inside were already aware of their situation…
As soon as their figures were seen, the gates immediately opened, Warden Units rushing to assist.
Just like that, Alora was carried inside. Her body was still trembling and weakened, but everyone believed that she'd be able to survive this disaster!
After all, Anna and several other medical practitioners, including elves, were already waiting!
Anna immediately rushed to Alora's side, examining the wound, as she considered what kind of treatment they should use…
"The serum worked… but the infection is still inside her," Anna said grimly. "It's not gone. It's… contained."
Beatrice's face paled. "Contained?"
Anna nodded. "Her antibodies from the Aegis Serum are fighting, and the injectors weakened the virus. But this is a Lord‑tier infection. I think it's adapting. She's not turning yet… but she's not cured either."
Alora's eyes opened as she heard her current condition...
Her voice was weak, but she tried to calm everyone.
"It's fine… Even if I can't get cured. Don't blame yourselves…" Alora said.
However, Anna shook her head.
"Don't worry. I will cure you, okay? Tell me about your condition," she immediately asked.
Alora paused for a moment before she gathered her strength and spoke up.
"I can feel it," she whispered. "It's inside me… but it's not controlling me. Not yet. But it's already clouding my mind."
Anna looked at her sharply. It was actually very important information…
After all, it was completely different from the information she had gathered when someone was turning into a Zombie.
Supposedly, they would first start feeling thirsty, but they wouldn't want to drink water. After that, all their thoughts would be filled with their desire to eat… Their hunger to eat human flesh, to be exact!
Anna couldn't help but recall the various records she had. "Wait… Alora… Maybe you can try to control this."
Alora's lips trembled as she heard Anna's words. 'Control?'
Then, seeing Alora's eyes focused on her, Anna immediately explained while they were transporting her.
"You have both the perfected Aegis Serum and the Dragon's Veil Elixir in your body… You're not weak. Although the Zombie Lord's virus is a lot stronger than we have experienced so far, you have to fight! Control your body… That virus might be the Lord's Toxic Energy or maybe the mystical power of Zombification, trying to turn you. Don't give up… I will assist you!"
Alora's breathing steadied slightly, though her veins still throbbed with faint black lines.
She closed her eyes as she focused on the foreign energy within her body.
"I'll try," she whispered. "If it's inside me… then I'll fight it from within."
The room fell silent. Beatrice and the others exchanged uneasy glances.
The idea was new… Resisting zombification on their own, perhaps even harnessing it, wasn't something they had imagined before.
But if anyone could attempt it, it was Alora Virellan, the princess who had already defied death once.
Anna placed a hand on Alora's shoulder and softly spoke…
"Then let's begin. You're not alone in this."
***
Alora no longer had any idea what was happening around her…
Her mind had shut down, her consciousness retreated inward as she focused all her strength on her Aura.
She was fighting the infection directly, channeling her energy against the mysterious force clawing through her veins.
But it was not easy as sweat poured down her face… Still, she refused to yield!
Anna worked tirelessly beside her.
She administered potions, mixed antidotes, and injected stabilizers, her hands keep movingas she knew that just relying on Alora's willpower would not be enough!
Every few minutes, she checked Alora's pulse, her breathing, and her Aura fluctuations.
The readings were erratic as the infection was adapting faster than she had ever seen.
Soon, even the elven healers joined in as they diagnosed her condition…
After a few moments, their palms were glowing with mana as they pressed against Alora's body.
"Bless her!"
Threads of light seeped into her, slowing the zombification. For a moment, the black lines receded, but the elves' faces grew pale.
Their mana reserves were not infinite. They could only hold back the tide for so long.
Anna clenched her jaw as she felt really frustrated right now…
She had tried every potion in her arsenal, every serum she had prepared. Nothing was enough. The Lord‑tier virus was not stopping at all. It was constantly changing, twisting, and mutating inside Alora's body.
'Shane… What should I do?'
Anna was getting desperate…
Was there no other option but to wait until she fights it back? What if Alora failed?
Minutes stretched into hours. The medical chamber was filled with the sound of strained breathing, prayers, and the faint vibration of mana.
Anna's hands shook as she reached for another vial, another concoction, another desperate attempt. But deep inside, she felt her hope slipping.
Her eyes darted across the shelves, searching for something… anything.
She reached for a container of capsule pills, her fingers brushing against the smooth surface as she considered whether giving Alora's painkiller would be enough.
Then she froze.
"Wait… capsule?" she whispered.
Her mind raced. Capsule… Vital Capsule.
Anna's eyes widened as the memory struck her.
The Vital Capsule in Blue Haven Shelter.
She had read the reports and studied the schematics given by Cloud about it.
Unlike CryoChambers used in New Genesis Shelter for stasis of the Hybrid Humans, the Vital Capsule was designed purely for healing.
It was discovered by Tundra and later perfected by A.I. Cloud. It was basically a miracle of recovery technology.
Although it wasn't tested to fight back against Zombie Lord's infection, she had a feeling that Cloud's upgrade made it even better!
"We need to transport her to Blue Haven Shelter quickly!" Anna shouted, her voice filled with sudden urgency.
The other practitioners stared at her, confused, but none questioned her authority.
They had seen her brilliance before. Without hesitation, they obeyed.
Alora's bed was pushed forward with their wheels screeching against the floor.
Beatrice and the others waiting outside the hospital saw the commotion, their eyes widened in shock…
"What's happening? Where are you taking her?" Beatrice demanded.
Anna didn't slow down. "To the portal hall! We don't have time to explain!"
The brigade fell in line, their questions drowned out by the urgency in Anna's voice.
Together, they rushed through the corridors until they reached the massive portal chamber.
The portal chamber had several people inside…
Most of them were merchants, probably going to Springriver, New Genesis, or other connected shelters…
She even noticed some people from Drakeheart Vanguard Clan! These guys were probably transporting crude oil to be processed in their Filtration Tower…
They all looked surprised at the commotion, but Anna had no time to care about them.
Guards stationed there turned in shock. However, they immediately recognized Anna and quickly asked.
"Is there anything we can help with? Which shelter?" one guard asked.
Anna replied, "We have a patient! Blue Haven Shelter quick!"
The guards immediately acted and pushed aside the other survivors who didn't have urgent matters.
Quickly, they activated the portal sequence.
In just a few moments, the group passed through, the world twisting around them…
"Ugh…"
"Feels awful…"
The medical practitioners who were pushing Alora's bed couldn't help but feel dizzy…
Nonetheless, they emerged in Blue Haven Shelter.
The guards there were equally stunned, but Anna wasted no time.
"Vital Capsule chamber!" she barked. "Now!"
The guards moved swiftly, leading them through the shelter's halls until they reached a very protected chamber.
In this place, Anna found various Vital Capsules. They were shiny, cylindrical pods glowing with faint blue light as they activated.
It was unlike anything else.
The Vital Capsule was designed to accelerate healing, purge toxins, and stabilize critical injuries. Wounds that would take weeks or months to close could be healed in minutes.
More importantly, it should have a subtle ability to purge negative energy with Cloud's update!
It was something no other medical device could achieve.
"This is it. This is what we need." Anna whispered.
Soon, the bed was wheeled forward, and Alora was carefully lifted into the capsule.
Her body trembled, but she held it in…
At this time, everyone could see that veins were still darkening… Thankfully, her Aura remained strong thanks to the various elixirs used by Anna and the blessing passed on by the elves…
Thud!
Soon, Alora lay in the chamber before it was sealed with a hiss.
Blue light filled the interior, bathing Alora in its glow…
Soon, the capsule's internal gears started working as its systems activated, scanning her body and identifying the infection that the patient had.
Just like that, they watched as the capsule was filled with gooey liquid!
"It's working…"
Anna muttered as she watched the readings on the console.
The virus was strong, but the capsule's energy was stronger! Slowly, the black lines across Alora's skin began to fade.
Even her breathing had steadied…
"Vital Capsule… It's really working… Just what kind of technology is this?!"
