"Nice… I got the last hit." Shane muttered as he looked at the new title he obtained.
With all the titles he had right now, his normal attacks could basically kill a Tyrant Zombie in one hit!
However, the team barely had time to breathe since the battle wasn't over yet.
Gravehelm advanced, it didn't seem bothered about the death of its two companions…
It even seemed as if it had gotten even stronger.
The horde under its control seemed to be filled with intensified ferocity. The Walkers suddenly seemed more muscular, the Spitters were launching acid faster, and Tank Zombies were regenerating as well!
"I'll hold the line!" Brion shouted, sweeping his polearm wide to keep the Tanks at bay.
Boom!
Earl then moved through the chaos with the blade in his hands as he cut down Runners before they could flank the group.
Meanwhile, Roscoe's arrows pierced Spitters at the back, thinning the acid barrage.
Those acid spits must be addressed after all.
There was a limit to their Mystic Protection Tokens!
But Gravehelm was just starting… It moved like a general, commanding the Zombies while focusing on its defense!
Furthermore, its corroded helm radiated a deathly aura that disrupted focus, making those who had gotten closer feel suddenly weak.
'Fighting in range is the key…'
Shane fired Sylph's Whisper, an arrow of fire streaking toward Gravehelm.
Whoosh~
However, the Commander raised its sword, deflecting the shot with a single, calculated swing.
Bam!
The arrow failed to activate and just like that, it dissipated harmlessly.
"Not bad." Shane muttered as he realized that he might be able to overwhelm this Zombie Lord if he worked together with the others. His speed wasn't too fast, and his swing wasn't too threatening.
With a signal from Shane, Shinja charged with storm energy pouring into his blade.
"Haa!"
He struck Gravehelm's armor and a strong lightning exploded outward.
Boom!
The impact was huge, but the Commander was able to raise its arm to block the attack on time!
Its aura also absorbed most of the impact. Then, with a swift counter, it swung its sword, forcing Shinja back several steps!
"This guy is strong…" Shinja commented as he felt his hands shaking after blocking one attack from the Zombie Lord.
Taylor then urged Stormbane forward with her shield raised. She intercepted Gravehelm's next strike, and just like what Shinja commented, it was indeed a powerful attack. The force from the strike nearly knocked her from the saddle, but she held firm.
"Focus fire!" Shane commanded again…
Elandor raised his staff, and Mana started gathering around him.
It was his Mana Convergence at work!
In just a few moments, bolts of arcane energy rained down, striking Gravehelm's armor.
At the same time, Roscoe's arrows followed, piercing gaps in the armor!
Thud! Thud! Thud!
Earl then appeared from shadow, and aimed at Gravehelm's leg to slow it down or even completely restrict its movement...
However, Gravehelm's dark aura expanded, making it suffocating to everyone!
Still, it wasn't a problem!
"Careful!"
Serenya then lifted her staff, as she cast another Elven Spell.
"Purification!" A wave of green light surged across the battlefield, dissolving the miasma that Gravehelm had spread.
The team's movements also became faster and their focus was restored.
"Great timing, Serenya…"
Shane then drew Sylph's Whisper, and elemental energy started gathering once again…
In just a few moments, he fired an arrow of wind, guided to curve around Gravehelm's guard. It struck the Commander's side, exploding with slicing force.
Boom!
Gravehelm finally stepped back as its armor started cracking.
"Now!" Shane shouted.
Shinja surged forward, as he had already recovered.
Finally, his blade struck the cracked armor, and thanks to that, lightning started tearing it open. Brion also followed with his polearm thrusting deep into the wound.
"Hahaha! Die!"
Gravehelm roared as its dark flesh and blood spilled everywhere!
"Kill him!"
Taylor then charged again, Stormbane trampling lesser zombies as she drove her sword into the wound. Sylas also appeared from behind, striking into Gravehelm's exposed back.
Everyone was working together really well as if this wasn't their first time.
Even Shane was impressed with their coordination as he barely had to give any instructions. Everyone knew what to do and how to contribute.
It was truly a great feeling to fight together with high-level people.
Soon, the combined assault forced Gravehelm to stumble, and everyone could feel that the dark miasma or deathly aura had weakened already.
Still, the enemy was a Zombie Lord, so even injured, the Commander did not wait for its death!
It raised its sword, unleashing a shockwave that blasted the team back.
Boom!
It happened so quickly, and it was also unexpected, so the group was thrown off for a few meters…
But that was it. It barely did any harm to the group!
Walkers may have charged forward to save Zombie Lords, but that was not enough.
Even if the Tanks tried to use their bodies to protect their Lord, and Spitters launched another coordinated volley, nothing was working for them!
Serenya raised her staff…
"Nature's Guardian!" she called, shielding the team from the acid rain.
Shane fired Sylph's Whisper again, this time an arrow of lightning. It struck Gravehelm's helm, cracking it further…
"Arcane Burst!" Elandor said as he realized a beam of pure energy that slammed into Gravehelm, forcing it to its knees!
Roscoe's arrow then pierced its exposed chest and as it tried to ignore the arrow, Roscoe just smiled and the arrow was special!
Boom!
A huge explosion occurred from the inside of the Zombie Lord!
"Ahh… Sorry about that, Clan Leader… I got the last hit." Roscoe immediately said.
