Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle-Chapter 1063: Welcomed
The system also recognized her acceptance as she heard a soft chime that echoed in her mind. It had basically confirmed that the mission had been claimed.
"Let’s see how they fare against me." Fiona muttered to herself.
But just as she turned away from the board, the heavy doors of the Clan Hall creaked open.
It drew the attention of the receptionist and the two workers. Fiona also turned toward the entrance and realized that Tundra had stepped inside.
She couldn’t help but pause, curious if this Bomb Expert would accept a Clan Mission.
"Tundra..." she said softly to acknowledge his presence.
The Terrorist of Blue Haven glanced at her and nodded before his gaze shifted to the mission board she had just touched. He squinted his eyes for a moment...
"Ahhh..."
After a moment of realization, he smiled at her, knowing which mission she had chosen.
"You’re taking the infestation sweep?" he asked.
Fiona crossed her arms and nodded, "Of course. Rat Zombies in nearby tunnels... It’s only natural that I deal with them. My rats will make short work of theirs."
Tundra stepped closer and nodded. "Good. Keep it clean. Those tunnels connect to the lower storage. If the infestation spreads, it might compromise our drainage system."
Fiona tilted her head and nodded. "Are you all waiting for me to accept this mission?"
Tundra’s lips twitched, though it was hard to tell if it was amusement or not. "Did you notice it’s completed two of ten? I did that. But I destroyed a part of the drainage system. Anyway, just don’t underestimate them. Even vermin can bite."
"What? Of course, you’ll destroy the tunnel. You make explosives! If you need delicate missions, just call me... No, just anyone that doesn’t use explosives!" Fiona replied as she couldn’t help but consider whether Tundra was actually an idiot or just messing with her.
As expected, Tundra just laughed and decided to accept the Juggernaut Suppression Mission.
"If you need a companion, call for Misha, she should be ready anytime," Tundra muttered, referring to the only female Super Soldier of the Blue Haven Shelter.
"Misha? Alright... Don’t worry. I’ll show you what a Rat Princess can do."
As she said this, she left the Clan Hall and looked for Misha.

In the meantime, within the Waterfall Shelter, the Floating Fortress had already descended slowly, and soon, its platform lowered toward the hidden valley where the Waterfall Shelter lay.
Below, Katrina stood at the forefront with her summons, wolves, hawks, and her massive bear, while thirty survivors gathered behind her.
"That’s amazing..."
"It’s huge!"
"How is that thing even floating?"
"Katrina, you’re amazing... Did you seduce the clan leader?" Someone whispered.
Nonetheless, their faces were filled with awe as the fortress got closer.
Shane, on the other hand, just watched as the survivors were guided onto the lift.
One by one, they ascended into the safety of the Floating Fortress. Shane made sure Katrina boarded as well, since he might fail to protect her in the battle.
"Keep them secure," Shane instructed the crew. "Blue Haven will be their permanent home. For now, the fortress stays above us."
With the civilians evacuated, only Shane and his high-ranking generals remained in the valley.
Shinja, Sylas, Taylor, Earl, and Elandor stood ready...
As they advanced, the mist thickened, implying that they were getting closer.
Then, one by one, system notifications appeared before their eyes:
[ You have entered a Lord‑Tier Zombie’s Area. ]
Name: Cladron the Bulwark
Type: Knight‑Class Zombie Lord
Threat Level: Catastrophic
[ Description: A Zombie Lord clad in rusted plate armor. Its shield is already part of its body and it regenerates when damaged. It specializes in defense, forming an unbreakable wall for its allies. ]
It didn’t end there since there wasn’t just one Zombie Lord in this area!
[ You have entered a Lord‑Tier Zombie’s Area. ]
Name: Ravens the Charger
Type: Knight‑Class Zombie Lord
Threat Level: Catastrophic
[ Description: A Zombie Lord wielding a lance. Its movements are fast. It commands Runner and Jumper Zombies, coordinating their speed to overwhelm enemies. When enraged, its strikes can pierce even fortified barriers. ]
"Alright... We have three of them as expected." Shane muttered as he checked the last notification.
[ You have entered a Lord‑Tier Zombie’s Area. ]
Name: Gravehelm the Commander
Type: Knight‑Class Zombie Lord
Threat Level: Catastrophic
[ Description: A Zombie Lord wearing a corroded helm that radiates a deathly aura. Even Tank Zombies and high-tier variants obey its orders. Its aura amplifies the strength and coordination of other Zombies. ]
The generals exchanged glances as the notifications faded.
Shane also smiled as he already expected them...
"Knight‑types... Travis wasn’t exaggerating."
Shinja gripped his blade. "Three Lords, each with a role. Defense, speed, command. They fight like a legion."
Taylor the Paladin adjusted her shield and nodded... "Basically, a wall, a spear, and a general. Classic formation. This will be quite interesting...
Elandor’s staff then pulsed faintly with mana. "They have a lot of Zombies under their control. They’ll probably wait until we’re weakened before striking."
Sylas the Elf Assassin nodded.
"Then we strike first."
Shane remained calm, but his gaze lingered on the gate behind the Lords.
The massive metal structure was still sealed, and that was the most important thing.
It means no one has sneaked in yet in this BioGenix facility.
He clearly remembered this territory’s situation...
There were eight Lords who had once guarded this place. Five had already been slain months ago by the Drakeheart Vanguard under Travis’s lead, and hundreds of survivors had died in that reckless attempt.
Now, only three remained. The strongest and most disciplined among them.
Shane clenched his fist. "We already got permission from Travis to just end this... Let’s clean this up..."
To be honest, there was another concern he had in mind... The world Knight-Class was incredibly familiar.
Of course, it could just be a coincidence... After all, there were other ranks with similar names.
Still, he couldn’t help but remember his Final Ranking when he completed the A.I. Rebellion Apocalypse... His rank was only Knight-Class, prompting him to redo the Apocalypse.
Unfortunately, he had no time to think as the ground trembled, and soon, the armored silhouettes emerged through the mist as they welcomed Shane’s group!
