Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence-Chapter 209 - 203: Magma Lizard Dragon
The tent fell silent once more.
Objections?
Who would dare object?
Capturing the enemy Kingdom’s Crown Prince was an achievement worthy of being recorded in the annals of history.
Helping to slay the enemy’s Commander-in-Chief was, by itself, enough to merit a promotion in rank.
Based on these two accomplishments alone, no reward given to him would be excessive.
"Since no one objects, this matter is settled."
Luke finalized the decision.
"Effective immediately, all Lords may send their men to the supply depot to exchange for supplies with their order slips."
The meeting concluded, and the Lords departed one after another, each with their own thoughts.
Barton walked over to Raylo and clapped him heavily on the shoulder.
"Good lad! You’ve really done it! From now on, you’ll be the wealthiest Lord in the Northern Territory! Next time I visit, we’d better be drinking from golden goblets!"
Raylo chuckled.
"You’re welcome anytime, Count Barton."
...
Upon returning to the Black Stone Territory’s camp, Raylo immediately summoned his Personal Guard Captain, Ed.
"Ed, take all our transport teams and trustworthy men to the supply depot to receive the materials. The list is here."
Raylo handed over the heavy parchment scroll.
"Remember, I want every last item accounted for, down to a single nail. Our Minister of Logistics is very strict."
As soon as he finished speaking, a dark figure emerged from the shadow behind him. It was the Space Young Dragon, Coal Ball.
The little guy affectionately rubbed against Raylo’s leg, then curiously tapped the list with its small claw, letting out an excited, low growl, as if it could already see mountains of Treasure waiting for it to "organize."
"Yes, my Lord!"
Ed solemnly accepted the list, his eyes filled with irrepressible excitement.
He, of course, understood what this fifteen percent share meant. It meant that the Black Stone Territory was about to undergo a complete and total transformation.
Ed hurried away, and Alex began to report on the task Raylo had assigned him before leaving.
"My Lord, the prisoner count you ordered is complete."
Alex handed him a report.
Compared to the mountain of supplies, Raylo placed more importance on this list.
Supplies were the flesh and blood of a territory, but people were its bones and soul.
He took the list and began to read it carefully.
"My Lord, in this battle, we captured a total of two hundred eighty-three Knights, forty-five Great Knights, and eighteen Earth Knights from the Fiery Sun Kingdom."
Alex reported.
It was a staggering number.
So many prisoners of Knight Level and above would become an immensely powerful force if handled correctly.
"Have you screened them?"
Raylo asked.
"A preliminary screening has been conducted."
Alex nodded.
"Based on their words, actions, and the intelligence we’ve gathered from interrogations, thirty-five of them are fanatical followers of the Light Divine Lord. They hold an unshakable faith in the Fiery Sun Kingdom and the Divine Lord. I believe these people... are beyond the point of being won over or reformed."
Raylo’s finger traced lightly over the thirty-five names on the list.
He understood what Alex meant. For fanatics who had been completely brainwashed, any gentle persuasion or reasoning would be futile. They were like unstable bombs, liable to detonate within his territory at any moment.
"Set up a separate prison camp and transfer all the captives there under strict guard. As for those thirty-five fanatics, hold them in solitary confinement. Don’t feed them well—one meal a day is enough. Don’t waste food on them."
Raylo gave his orders.
"Yes, sir."
A flicker of understanding passed through Alex’s eyes.
Raylo’s gaze continued down the list, falling on the remaining names.
These Knights were mostly conscripted nobles and soldiers. They fought for their King and for glory, but their faith was not so extreme.
These were the people Raylo truly wanted.
As dusk fell, the Black Stone Territory’s camp witnessed the most spectacular "migration" in its history.
Heavy footsteps, like muffled thunder, rolled in from the distant horizon.
Dozens of Mammoth Knights served as the vanguard, their massive bodies clad in heavy Iron Armor, each step making the very earth tremble.
Behind them was a caravan stretching for miles. Over a hundred Black Stone Knights and several times that number of followers escorted cart after cart piled high with supplies.
The wheels creaked, horses neighed, and voices swelled into a hubbub, enveloping the entire camp in a feverish joy.
Ed’s face was etched with fatigue, but his eyes were astonishingly bright.
He swung himself off his horse and strode toward Raylo.
"My Lord, all the supplies... have been brought back!"
Raylo nodded, his gaze passing over Ed to the torrent of supplies that looked as if it could swallow the camp whole.
Food, Armor, weapons, Magic Scrolls, Alchemy Materials... it was a dazzling array of everything imaginable.
"Well done, Ed. Unload the supplies, have the logistics department prepare dinner, and break out a few barrels of ale."
"Yes, sir!"
Ed acknowledged the order and left with a spring in his step.
Just then, a black shadow shot out from behind Raylo with a WHOOSH.
The Space Young Dragon, Coal Ball, circled Raylo’s legs twice before diving headfirst into the mountain of supplies. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
It first rolled around in a crate of glittering Magic Crystal Ore, letting out a satisfied purr. Then, like a Lord inspecting his territory, it pried open a wooden box with its little claws, saw the neatly arranged Enchanted Equipment inside, and let out an excited, low growl.
Its figure flashed between the various piles of supplies, tirelessly conducting its first inventory as the "Minister of Logistics."
Raylo chuckled and shook his head, letting it fool around.
’This little guy used to haggle with me just to store a few things. Ever since he received the "official title" of Minister of Logistics, he’s really started treating the job of storing supplies as his personal duty.’
His attention was soon drawn to the special "spoils of war" at the end of the procession, which were being carefully led by the Knights.
It was a temporary Beast Cage, holding dozens of Magical Beasts of various forms. The air was thick with a wild, frenzied, and powerful aura.
The most eye-catching among them was a Tier Four Magical Beast.
Its body was comparable in size to a Mammoth, covered in an Obsidian-like shell. In the cracks of the shell, dark red light flowed like visible streams of magma.
It moved on heavy limbs, and with every step it took, the ground seemed to groan faintly.
This was the Magma Lizard Dragon, a High Tier variant of the Earth Dragon, renowned for its terrifying physical defense and Lava Breath.
Besides this behemoth, there were also five Tier Three Magical Beasts.
A lithe Howling Wind Tiger with cyan wind patterns on its fur; two Giant-Horned Demon Rhinoceroses that looked like mobile fortresses; a Shadow Leopard with fur as black as ink, almost able to merge with the shadows; and a Thunder Feathered Eagle whose feathers seemed forged from steel and glinted with electricity.
In addition, there were over thirty Tier One and Tier Two Magical Beasts, with a few Pegasi mixed among them.
