Chapter 861: Chapter 861: Make Up

He stood there for a moment, frozen and regretful.

Then, he made up his mind.

He walked to the door and left the room without a sound.

When Yu Holea heard the door click shut, her eyes opened slowly. She clenched her jaw and muttered, "He really left..."

Her eyes turned a little red, but she quickly wiped them.

"Men are all the same," she grumbled. "Once they get what they want, they stop caring."

With that thought, she pulled the blanket over her head and went to sleep.

...........

The next morning came.

Yu Holea woke up. The bed beside her was still cold.

He hadn’t come back.

She didn’t say anything. She simply got up and prepared for her day. There was a shoot scheduled for her, and she went ahead with it. She had to work hard anyway. That was her life.

By evening, she returned to the Qiao residence, a little tired but calm. However, the moment she stepped into the house, she noticed something strange.

Everyone from the Qiao family was sitting in the living room.

She raised an eyebrow. "Did something happen?" she thought.

Still, she walked in and sat down quietly.

Just then, the kitchen door opened.

Qiao Jun walked out slowly, carrying a tray in his hands. He was wearing an apron, and his face looked serious but hopeful.

"Waaah! Second brother made it himself!" Qiao Li shouted.

Mrs. Qiao clapped her hands. "He really knows how to make up for mistakes!"

"Impressive," Mr. Qiao added with a nod.

Yu Holea didn’t say anything. She didn’t even look at him.

Qiao Jun walked straight to her and gently held her hand.

"Holea," he said softly, "I know I was wrong. I shouldn’t have lied to you. So, to make up for it, I made you something unique."

Yu Holea’s eyes finally turned to him. She was curious now.

Qiao Jun smiled gently. "If you still want to go clubbing, I won’t stop you. In fact, I’ll make sure you have the best clubbing experience ever, without any trouble."

Yu Holea blinked in surprise. Was he serious?

Just then, Qiao Li rolled her eyes and said loudly,

"Don’t believe him! He’s totally lying! The moment you say you want to go again, he’ll suddenly fall sick or fake a car crash or something!"

Everyone laughed a little, but Yu Holea just stared at Qiao Jun.

Qiao Jun looked back at her and spoke in a low, serious voice.

"I’m not lying. I really mean it. If you don’t believe me, I can show you. You can see my sincerity yourself."

Before Yu Holea could respond, Qiao Li crossed her arms and smirked. "Then show it! If you’re that serious, show us what kind of sincerity you’re talking about!"

Qiao Jun turned his head and glared at her calmly.

"Qiao Li, I’ll deal with you later," he said in a low voice. Then, he turned back to Yu Holea and softened his tone again.

"Holea, I want to take you somewhere. If you’re ready, come with me. But if you still want to ignore me, I won’t give up. I’ll keep trying to win your attention back."

Yu Holea stared at him, surprised by his words. Then she asked quietly, "What could you possibly show me that would make my anger disappear?"

Qiao Jun smiled gently. "For that, you have to follow me."

There was a pause. Then Yu Holea slowly nodded.

The moment he got her approval, Qiao Jun reached out and gently held her hand. Without saying another word, he led her outside.

A black car was waiting for them. He opened the door for her, and once she got in, he sat beside her and drove off.

The car ride was quiet. Neither of them spoke, but the air felt different. Yu Holea wasn’t angry anymore... just curious.

After some time, the car stopped.

Yu Holea looked out the window and her eyes widened.

It was a club.

And not just any club, she recognized it immediately. It was one of the most famous and exclusive clubs in the city.

Just then, another car pulled up behind them. It was the Qiao family. Qiao Li jumped out first and walked toward them.

She leaned close to Yu Holea and whispered loudly, "He’s probably going to say something cheesy now, like how he got the VIP room ready just for you."

Yu Holea frowned, but Qiao Li wasn’t done.

"Actually," she added, "this club belongs to him. He probably kicked everyone out so you could dance here alone. That’s all he’ll do."

The more she spoke, the more Yu Holea’s face darkened. She turned to glare at Qiao Jun, clearly not impressed.

Qiao Jun raised his hands in the air and shot a sharp look at Qiao Li. "You really know how to stir up trouble, don’t you?"

Then he looked at Yu Holea and said softly, "You can party here if you want. I won’t stop you. Just come in."

He held out his hand again.

After a short pause, Yu Holea took it.

Together, they walked inside.

At first, everything looked normal. There was music, lights, and a dance floor. But then Yu Holea noticed something strange right in the center of the club.

There was a tall glass pillar-like structure.

It looked like it could hold four to five people inside. The walls looked clear, like see-through glass. It was glowing slightly under the lights.

Qiao Jun walked over and opened the door to the pillar.

Yu Holea stepped in and gasped.

Inside... was a whole other world.

There was a soft bed, a small sofa, and even a little table with drinks and snacks. But most of all, there was a dance floor in the middle. It wasn’t big, but it was enough to move freely.

She stepped onto it.

Suddenly, the walls around her disappeared, at least, it felt like that.

When she stood on the special stage inside the pillar, it was like she was standing right in the center of the club, dancing with the crowd, surrounded by lights and energy.

She looked around in amazement. From the outside, it looked like she was still inside a glass tube. But from the inside, it felt like she was floating in the middle of the party.

"How...?" she whispered.

Qiao Jun stood next to her and smiled. "Do you remember the special cubicles I made in Jackson High School? I used the same power here."

Yu Holea looked at him, eyes wide.

"As long as you dance here," he continued, "no one will bother you. You’ll feel like you’re right in the crowd, with everyone. But no one can touch you or interrupt you. You can wear anything you want. Be whoever you want. I won’t stop you."

He looked at her gently.

"I just want you to feel free. Like you’re flying."

Yu Holea stood in silence for a few seconds.

Then slowly, her lips curled into a smile.

Outside, Qiao Li watched with her mouth hanging open.

She never thought her brother would go this far. He had created something magical, just for Yu Holea.

Her heart felt warm all of a sudden.

Maybe... just maybe... her best friend really did find someone who loved her more than anything.

Just as she was still taking everything in, Qiao Jun turned around to look at Qiao Li and Mrs. Qiao. He smiled lightly and said,

"You guys can party here, too. There won’t be any problem. And don’t worry, Dad won’t be against it."

Mr. Qiao, who had been standing quietly with his arms crossed, gave a slow nod. He had already noticed something important. From the outside, the inside of the pillar looked shiny and mysterious, but nothing inside could really be seen.

"It’s one-way glass," he thought to himself, a little impressed.

The idea that his wife and daughter could enjoy themselves freely without anyone staring made him feel surprisingly relieved. He gave a small smile and said,

"As long as your mom can enjoy herself and not worry about those annoying paparazzi or busybodies, I’m happy."

Qiao Li suddenly pointed at herself. "Wait, wait, are you saying I can use the pillar too?" she asked, her voice full of surprise.

Qiao Jun nodded. "Yes. But I’d prefer if you didn’t cause any more trouble," he said with a smirk. "I’d appreciate it even more if you could only come here for clubbing and not go to other clubs."

Qiao Li raised one eyebrow and tilted her head. "So this is a bribe to prevent me from nagging?"

But she understood right away what Qiao Jun meant. He wasn’t trying to scold her, he was being protective. Her smirk softened a little.

"Wow... never thought you would be the overprotective big brother," she said with a laugh.

Qiao Jun didn’t answer. He just looked back at Yu Holea with soft, gentle eyes.

"Holea," he said warmly, "are you still feeling unhappy now?"
