Chapter 740: Chapter 740: Stroke

Just as he stood up to leave, his body started to tremble, and before long, he collapsed on the ground.

Seeing the scene, the onlooker didn’t have much sympathy and even criticized the man,

"Man just how many tricks he have? Can’t he see that he is already exposed?"

"Don’t ask me. I think he is lacking common sense."

"I, too, think so."

The comment in the live stream held a similar opinion,

"Man, I am getting bored. Just get this buddy out of here."

"Yeah! Does he think we all will fall for the same trick twice?"

Yet, Yu Holea’s expression changed. She immediately placed a hand on his pulse, and her expression turned ugly,

"He is having a stroke."

Yu Holea’s face turned serious. "He’s having a stroke! We need to act fast!"

The crowd, which was laughing just moments ago, went dead silent. Some gasped, while others stepped back in shock.

"Wait, for real?!"

"Oh no... is he actually in danger?!"

Xu Tian’s eyes widened. "What should we do? Do we call an ambulance?!"

"No need, just pass me my needle pouch." Yu Holea said with a hint of urgency in her tone.

Yu Holea grabbed the needle pouch from Xu Tian and quickly pulled out a few thin silver needles.

Without wasting a second, she started placing them on the man’s body—his hands, his neck, his legs.

Her hands moved so fast that people could barely see what she was doing. It was like watching a magician perform a trick.

"Whoa! She’s so fast!" someone gasped.

"Is she really treating him or just poking random places?" another person whispered.

Some people were amazed, but others weren’t so sure.

"Is this real medicine?"

"What if he dies? Will she take responsibility?"

"Shouldn’t we just call an ambulance instead?"

Meanwhile, the live chat was blowing up.

"OMG, her speed is crazy!"

"But what if she messes up? That dude is already unconscious!"

"Wait... she actually looks serious this time."

Yu Holea didn’t say a word. She focused on her work, pressing on different points after inserting the needles. She adjusted the angles carefully, making sure everything was just right.

Then, she sat back and let out a deep breath.

"Now, we wait."

Everyone held their breath. The seconds felt like hours.

One minute passed. Two minutes. Five minutes.

The man was still unconscious.

Some people started to whisper again.

"Did she fail?"

"Maybe the old guy was right. She’s just pretending."

"Did she just make it worse?"

Even Xu Tian looked a little nervous. "Uh... Holea, are you sure this will work?"

Yu Holea didn’t answer. Finally, she removed the needles, however, the man remained unconscious.

The crowd started to shift uncomfortably. Some people crossed their arms, while others shook their heads.

"See? I knew it. She’s a fake."

"She just made things worse!"

"Is he even breathing?!"

Xu Tian frowned and looked at Yu Holea. "Holea... he’s not waking up." His voice had a hint of worry.

Yu Holea, however, remained calm. She placed two fingers on the man’s wrist again, checking his pulse.

"He’s fine," she said. "His pulse is getting stronger. His body just needs a little more time to recover."

But the people around her weren’t convinced.

"Then why isn’t he waking up?" someone demanded.

"Yeah! If he was really getting better, he should’ve opened his eyes by now!"

"This is bad... what if something really happened to him?"

The live chat was just as chaotic.

"Bro, she actually failed?"

"I was hyping her up, and now this happens?"

"RIP, old man. He just wanted some free money, but now he’s paying with his life."

Yu Holea ignored the voices around her.

She picked up the man’s hand and began pressing firmly on a few points on his palm and fingers.

A tense silence filled the air.

Then—

The man’s fingers twitched again.

A gasp rippled through the crowd.

"Did he just move?!"

His eyelids fluttered slightly. His breathing, which had been uneven before, suddenly steadied. Then, with a low groan, the man slowly opened his eyes.

For a moment, he looked confused. His gaze shifted around, taking in the people staring at him. He blinked a few times, trying to process what had happened.

"Wh-where am I?" he mumbled. His voice was weak but clear.

The crowd burst into chatter.

"HE’S AWAKE!!"

"Wait... she actually saved him?!"

"NO WAY! I thought he was done for!"

Xu Tian let out a loud sigh of relief. "Oh, thank goodness..."

The live chat exploded with messages.

"HOLY—SHE ACTUALLY DID IT???"

"I take back everything I said. Queen Yu Holea is real!"

"I thought this was gonna turn into a crime scene for a second."

Yu Holea smiled slightly, then looked at the man. "How do you feel?"

The man blinked a few more times before raising his right hand. He flexed his fingers. Then, he touched his own face, almost as if checking if he was still alive.

"I... I feel... good?" he said, sounding surprised.

The crowd gasped again.

"No way. That fast?!"

"Shouldn’t he still be weak or something?"

The man slowly sat up, looking more and more amazed.

"My body... I don’t feel heavy anymore. My arm—" He clenched his fist. "It doesn’t hurt!"

Yu Holea nodded.

"Your blood flow was blocked, which is why you collapsed. I helped clear it up. You should be fine now, but you need to take care of your health from now on."

The man stared at her, his face full of emotions—shock, disbelief, and maybe even a little embarrassment.

Then, tears welled up in his eyes, and he knelt down,

"I am sorry, miss. I shouldn’t have tried to scam you! I was desperate for money and hence resorted to such trick."

Yu Holea patted his shoulders and said,

"No need to kneel. Get up. It’s alright."

She also used her ability to see his past and suddenly felt it was meaningless to punish the man.

His son had skin cancer, and it was at stage one. The doctor had warned him that if he didn’t get it removed quickly, then the cancer would reach stage 2, where it has a low chance of being cured.

The man was desperate for money and hence kept on finding different ways to earn money, but no matter how hard he tried, it was never enough.

His job barely paid for his daily expenses, and borrowing from others only left him drowning in debt.

Yu Holea sighed.

She understood now—this man wasn’t just some scammer trying to fool people for fun.

He was a desperate father, willing to do anything to save his son.

The crowd, however, didn’t know the truth and said,

"Hey, old man, she has rescued you. You should at least give her 15 yuan."

"Yeah. That is the least she deserves!"

The live stream comments said,

"Exactly. Yu Holea truly has a generous heart. She cured the old man even if he was trying to scam her."

"If I was in her place, I would have hesitated for a minute or so, but she didn’t."

The man lowered his head, feeling ashamed. He clenched his fists and said, "I... I don’t have any money to give her."

The crowd went silent for a moment. Some people looked at each other, unsure of what to say.

One person muttered, "Man, this guy really has nothing, huh?"

Another scoffed, "Well, at least say thank you properly."

The man took a deep breath and turned to Yu Holea. His voice was shaky.

"Miss, I really don’t know how to thank you. If it wasn’t for you, I might’ve..."

He swallowed hard, unable to finish the sentence.

Yu Holea shook her head. "You don’t need to repay me with money."

The man looked up, confused. "But... I scammed you. And you still helped me."

She gave him a small smile.

"Doctors don’t pick who they save. Whether someone is good or bad, if they need help, we help. Not to mention, you are doing all of this for your son, right?

The man’s eyes widened, while the crowd and the audience were confused.

"What? What is she saying?"

"I don’t understand."

The man’s eyes widened, and he looked at Yu Holea with a horrified expression,

"How did you know?"

"I know a lot. I even know that he has skin cancer and you are trying to get money for his treatment before it gets worse," Yu Holea said calmly.

The man gasped. His hands trembled, and his face turned pale.

"You... you know about my son?"

The crowd looked at each other in confusion.

"Wait, what is she talking about?"

"His son has cancer?! No way..."

"Is this true, old man?"

The man’s eyes filled with tears. He lowered his head and nodded. "Yes... It’s true."

Gasps spread through the crowd. The live stream chat started flooding with comments.

"OMG, this just got real."

"Poor guy... I was hating on him, but now I feel bad."

"I can’t imagine what he’s going through."
