Chapter 501: Chapter 500 True Yang Magic Shield_1

Chu Hao ran to the edge, where the dense hair blocked his path. He wielded the Ritian Stick and smashed down hard, but the wall of hair was too soft. He couldn’t break through and almost had the Ritian Stick snatched away in the process.

Chu Hao retrieved the Ritian Stick and used the Night Demon Blade to chop, finally cutting an opening.

However, he didn’t dare to go inside because the severed hair was growing wildly within. Going inside would mean getting entangled all the same.

The others were also trying, but each one stopped short, not daring to go further. Who knew how deep this hair went?

A woman with a deathly pale face landed inside a room of the villa. Her mournful cries echoed from within; the Ghost Mother had discovered the Ghost Fetus that had been trampled to death.

The wails were incredibly shrill and horrifying; those with low cultivation couldn’t bear it, as if they were bewitched.

"You’re all going to die! All of you!"

The Ghost Mother emerged from the house, standing by the window. Her ghastly pale body was extremely frightening and eerie as she immediately locked onto Chu Hao.

She could sense that her child had been trampled to death by Chu Hao; there were still traces of the Ghost Baby’s blood on his boots.

The Ghost Mother went berserk and lunged.

Chu Hao felt a chill on his back. He turned to see the Ghost Mother pouncing toward him, which made him jump in fright.

Chu Hao urgently said, "System, buy a defensive Magic Artifact, quick!"

System: "It is recommended that the Host purchase the True Yang Magic Shield. It requires 20,000 Pretentiousness Points."

"Buy it."

"DING! The Host has purchased the True Yang Magic Shield, consuming 20,000 Pretentiousness Points. Remaining Pretentiousness Points: 13,000." 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮

Item: True Yang Magic Shield

Ability One: Defensive Shield.

Ability Two: True Yang Armor. Consumes 10,000 Mana Points. Can be worn on the body to protect vital points.

The Ghost Mother drew closer, her pallid hand reaching for Chu Hao’s throat.

Chu Hao’s scalp tingled. He had a feeling he couldn’t dodge this claw, as if he were rooted to the spot.

A small, palm-sized shield appeared and instantly enlarged, just big enough to shield a person.

"CLANG!" Sparks flew as the Ghost Mother’s hand clawed at the Magic Shield. The powerful force sent Chu Hao flying.

Chu Hao retreated several meters before steadying himself, his arm numb. How immense was that strength? That strike felt like a sledgehammer blow.

The Ghost Mother stared fixedly at Chu Hao, blood streaming from her eyes. Her shrill voice, like nails scraping across glass, was extremely piercing. "Die! You must die!"

Chu Hao’s heart went cold. He turned and ran, shouting, "Don’t leave, everyone! Let’s join forces!"

The others were searching for an escape route. Seeing Chu Hao shamelessly yelling for them to team up, they felt an urge to beat him to death.

Evidently, the Ghost Mother had noticed them too. She said angrily, "None of you will leave! Return my child’s life!"

Overhead, the dense hair flowed like a river. It transformed into Jing Ji iron spikes, raining down like a torrential storm, continuously stabbing downwards.

Everyone felt the immense pressure, each using their own methods to protect themselves and block the attack.

Chu Hao ran up to Yan Furong and said, "Missy, let’s team up!"

Yan Furong was furious. This guy was so annoyingly persistent! "Get away from me!"

The Ghost Mother pursued them, moving as fast as a gale, almost as if teleporting, as she lunged with her sharp nails.

Chu Hao raised his Magic Shield to block. If not for the True Yang Magic Shield, he’d probably have been dismembered by now.

Seeing that she couldn’t easily take down Chu Hao, the Ghost Mother turned her attention to Yan Furong.

Yan Furong’s Blazing Heavenly Pupil opened. A wall of purple flames, streaked with gold and resembling the legendary Three Real Fires, appeared before her, blocking the Ghost Mother.

The Ghost Mother, enraged, let out a shrill roar. The wall of fire instantly dispersed, but Yan Furong had already fled.

Yan Furong chased after Chu Hao and reluctantly said, "Let’s team up."

Chu Hao curled his lip. "Didn’t you just tell me to get lost?"

Yan Furong said, her cheeks puffed in anger, "If you want to live, then we team up!"

Wang Junshu produced a yellow talisman. His long sword pierced through it as he chanted, "Divine Dragon Assistant, mountains crumble! Evil gods and demons, dare not show a single scale! Ghosts and monsters be purged, let peace reign for mankind! Heed my command with utmost urgency, as if it were law!"

"Kill!"

The long sword shot forward, transforming into a python that lunged at the Ghost Mother.

The Ghost Mother seized the python’s head, and with it, the body of the sword.

Wang Junshu chanted an incantation, and another long sword flew out from behind him, aiming for the Ghost Mother’s chest.

The Ghost Mother shrieked. The immense power in her voice created piercing sound waves that rippled outwards, shaking the long sword and forcing it back.

"CRACK!"

With a surge of strength in her grip, the Ghost Mother snapped Wang Junshu’s long sword. His face filled with horror; abandoning the broken sword, he hastily retreated.

This Ghost Mother was too strong. And this probably wasn’t even her full strength. Because, after birthing the Ghost Fetus, she had transferred most of her Ghost Qi to the child.

The Ghost Mother was furious. If she were at her peak, wouldn’t killing these few humans be effortless?

The Ghost Mother looked towards the Ghost Lady nearby, who was still struggling with the hair. She pounced. An afterimage flashed past. The Ghost Lady’s body shuddered violently and slumped slightly. When she opened her eyes again, they were blood-red, and her face was deathly pale.

Ghost Possession!

The Ghost Lady, now possessed by the Ghost Mother, threw her head back and let out a deafening howl, conveying her rage. From the outer edges of the hair-formed cage, countless Ghosts began to pour in as if emerging from the Underworld, an endless stream of them rushing towards Chu Hao and the others.

Dozens of Fierce Ghosts materialized around the Ghost Mother, each exuding overwhelming resentment as they charged at the four of them.

Chu Hao was startled. These dozens of Fierce Ghosts were actually at the Ghost General Level!

The faces of Yan Furong and the other two turned grim; these dozens of Fierce Ghosts were terrifying.

Chu Hao was not the same man he once was. Facing the attacking Ghost Generals, he slashed out with his blade without the slightest fear.

But if they all attacked at once, that would be a real headache.

The Ghost Mother locked onto Chu Hao and lunged, moving like a phantom.

The possessed Ghost Lady’s hands turned purple-black. Her fingernails grew to three inches long, sharp as daggers, as she viciously stabbed forward.

Chu Hao blocked with his Magic Shield, his arm straining as if hit by a locomotive. Her fingernails, sharp and deadly, stabbed towards him like a Long Spear.

Sparks flew as the Ghost Mother’s nails slashed relentlessly at high speed. Chu Hao didn’t even have a chance to retaliate.

This couldn’t go on. He suddenly found himself missing Bai Ling. If Bai Ling were here, would she let this Ghost King act so wantonly? Bai Ling had once told him that if anyone bullied him, he should just mention her name.

Suddenly, two fireballs, like miniature suns and purplish-gold in color, appeared, forcing the Ghost Mother to retreat. Yan Furong’s pupils glowed with firelight. Her expression was strained; the attack had consumed an enormous amount of energy. She asked, "Do you have any ideas?"

"I don’t know," Chu Hao replied.

In the area spanning several hundred meters, only Chu Hao, Yan Furong, Yan Chen, and Wang Junshu remained alive.

Corpses littered the ground, which was riddled with holes pierced by strands of hair. An unending horde of Ghosts swarmed around them, impossible to kill off completely. This situation was untenable.

Wang Junshu and Yan Chen also realized that if they didn’t team up now, they would likely be killed. Only the four of them remained.

Chu Hao was perplexed. He was supposed to hide for seven days. How was he supposed to do that in this situation?!
