Getting spoiled in a woman dominating world-Chapter 130: Just a hug?
Chapter 130: Just a hug?
Letting out a tired yawn, Brandon walked across the sunlit pathway of the Academy’s main corridor.
The morning sun filtered through the arched windows, casting warm golden beams across the marble floor.
Students bustled about, some hurrying to class, others lingering to chat in groups.
’Damn it... I didn’t get enough sleep again,’ he thought irritably, rubbing the side of his neck.
His shirt collar was slightly askew, his tie loosely knotted ’All that cuddling... and sucking on Rave’s nipples. Shit... I need coffee. Or sleep. Or both.’
He stifled another yawn as he rounded the corner of the courtyard, when his eyes caught a familiar figure leaning back against a pillar.
Han Dhayun.
She was tapping her foot lightly as she glanced toward the horizon. Her arms crossed under her bust, and she looked as if she was waiting for someone.
A smile tugged at the corners of Brandon’s lips looking at her.
He walked up behind her and gently tapped the back of her head with his fingers.
"Idiot," he said in a low, teasing voice.
"Mm?" Dhayun rubbed her head and turned lazily toward him "Woonie..."
Brandon slipped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her close with that same relaxed boldness he had always shown around her.
"Who are you waiting for?" he asked, glancing down at her with that grin that made many girls in the Academy go stupid.
(A/n: I know I am glazing lol)
Her cheek brushed the edge of his shoulder and her body tensed slightly from his touch.
A faint heat crept up the back of her neck.
They had done this hundreds of times. She was like an older sister to him and this is normal skinship between them.
She had ruffled his hair when he was down. Kicked his ass when he got cocky.
They had shared ramen cups in winter and watched dumb horror movies until morning.
He was her Woonie... annoying, adorable, and dependable.
But this time...
Why was her heart skipping like that?
Dhayun bit her lower lip without thinking.
’That damn bitch...’ she cursed inwardly. ’Putting stupid ideas in my head. He’s like a younger brother. He’s always been like that... right?’
She coughed lightly, "I’m waiting for my friend," she muttered, glancing away.
"She said she’d meet me here fifteen minutes ago."
"Oh, I see..." Brandon replied casually, still keeping his arm around her like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Dhayun looked up at him briefly.
His hair caught the light and his skin was smooth as his lips parted slightly as he spoke.
His gentle blue eyes reflecting the sun made him look even more handsome.
She found her eyes tracing his jawline, the small dimple in his cheek when he smiled, and the subtle lines around his eyes that only showed when he was being genuine.
’He’s... kinda cute.’
Then Brandon tilted his head slightly, catching the subtle change in her expression. "You okay?"
"Huh? Y-Yeah," Dhayun quickly replied, clearing her throat.
"Just a little warm. Sun’s bright today."
She looked up at his crooked tie and let out a sigh "Idiot, can’t you even properly check your tie?"
Hm? Brandon looked down at his tie and muttered "Yeah, I was in a rush."
"A rush to look like a fool?" she scoffed, already reaching up with her fingers.
Her hands brushed his chest, fingers deftly slipping under the loose knot as she began undoing it.
Her fingers trembled slightly as she slid the fabric through his collar "Now stand still."
She tightened the knot just a little too firmly, then adjusted it with a small tug. "There."
Brandon let out a chuckle "Thankyou for always mothering me."
Dhayun just shook her head helplessly and looked at him out of the corner of her eyes "Shut up, Idiot."
They stood together beneath the archway near the academy’s central courtyard in silence, the distant murmur of students coming and going around them
Dhayun tilted her head slightly and looked at him "...Woonie, can you hug me? Just... a little."
Hm? Brandon was quite confused, but then he nodded and opened his arms "Ok, come here."
Dhayun let out a sigh and fell into his arms.
Brandon’s hand rested lightly on her back, rubbing small circles with his thumb.
His gaze narrowed slightly "Dhayun did something happen?"
Hearing the concern in his voice, she smiled faintly into his chest and shook her head "No..."
She closed her eyes, pressing her face into his chest, letting herself feel his warmth more deeply ’Now imagine... any other man in place of him.’
For a moment she imagined her hugging some random guy, and her body tensed for a moment as her closed eyelashes trembled.
The thought of being wrapped in some random guy’s arms made her shiver.
’No... Woonie.’
She hurriedly opened her eyes and looked up at him "Woonie."
Hm? Brandon looked down at her "Dhayun?"
Glancing into his eyes, her lips quivered as a soft voice escaped her lips "...Do you think we are still the same?"
Brandon blinked, a little puzzled by her question "What do you mean?"
"I mean... us. You and me." She glanced away briefly, then returned her gaze to him, a pained little smile tugging at her lips.
"We’ve always been close. You’ve always been important to me. But lately... I don’t know if I’m still the same to you."
Brandon frowned slightly "Dhayun—"
"I know things are changing," she continued quickly, cutting him off before she lost the nerve.
"You have Ravene. You have Eira. People keep coming into your life, and they see things in you... sides I never saw before."
Her fingers clutched a little tighter onto his blazer "And I keep wondering... where do I fit in now? Am I still someone who matters?"
Brandon’s gaze softened and he pulled her in a little closer, resting his chin lightly atop her head.
"You’ll always matter to me, Dhayun," he murmured.
"I don’t care how many people come into my life. You were one of the first. You’re part of what made me who I am. And nothing’s going to change that."
Her heart clenched and she buried her face into his chest, hiding the mist that threatened to gather in her eyes.
"...Idiot," she whispered, the word sounding more like affection than insult.
He chuckled softly "You’ve said that more today than ever."
She pulled back slightly, looking up at him again.
"Just promise me..." she said quietly. "That you won’t stop hugging me like this, even if you fall in love with someone else."
Brandon reached up, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.
"I promise."
Hearing this, she smiled and hit his chest "Alright."
At this time, another woman came, rushing there "Dhayun."
Dhayun glanced at her friend and smiled, "Jiwon."
Jiwon looked at Brandon in amazement "You are-"
But she never got the chance to finish the sentence.
Dhayun’s eyes widened, and before Jiwon could utter another syllable, she swiftly reached out and pressed her palm firmly over Jiwon’s mouth, muffling whatever words were about to spill out.
"Mmff?!" Jiwon stared at her friend in surprise.
Brandon, still holding onto Dhayun loosely, blinked in confusion "...What was that about?"
Dhayun gave him a sheepish little smile, her hand still covering Jiwon’s mouth. "Nothing. She just tends to say embarrassing things sometimes."
Jiwon narrowed her eyes at her friend with a muffled protest, trying to wriggle free from the gag.
Dhayun, however, kept a firm but gentle grip, trying to silently communicate with her eyes ’Please don’t’.
She then turned to look at Brandon and smiled "Then, Woonie... I am leaving. See you later." ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
With that, she quickly dragged Jiwon from there.
Looking at the back of Dhayun, Brandon let out a sigh as he could somewhat understand Dhayun’s feelings.
"Noona.."
